    Citizen Default# ($50/hr) - You have no specific role in city life

    -Only allowed to Purge (can not raid/counter/mug/carjack/assist)

    -Can base alone but they should change their job after finishing building (removing the building sign)

    No default weapon

     

    DJ 2 ($200/hr) - Play music and try to get donation money

    2 player models

    -You are only allowed to purge (can not blah blah blah)

    -You can base on the streets (within reason)

    -Don't be annoying, if a player says to leave them alone then leave them alone

    No default weapon

     

    Doge 1 ($400/hr) - Follow your owner and help him in any ways possible

    Dog player model

    -You are only allowed to assist your owner "whatever he adverts" (raid assist/mug assist/counter assist/carjack assist)

    -You are not allowed to have any guns in your hands (VIP Pets can use the Monster swep)

    -You can't base alone

    -You can only base in your Owner base

    Default weapon: Fists- GMod pee

     

    Event Participant (0/0) ($50/hr)

    ~14 default Gmod player models

    This job isn't an RP job. This job was made for people who want to Practice in the event when the server is running an event

    additional pros:

    custom, feature-rich minimap specifically for their costum map

    during purge spawns players in random places on the map with pipes

    top 5 leaderboard for kills during purge with kill counter

    "VIP" room in the spawn area with:

    • closet that lets anyone (even regular players) choose which default model they play as
    • donator only shop that makes it so you (re)spawn with a weapon of your choosing, even during the purge
      • possibly some other things present in this shop (you can't interact with the vip shop npc unless you're a donator so I can't tell)

     

     

    cons:

    random spawns during purge gets players stuck (in which case they promptly kill each other, so not that big of a deal)

    mediocre performance

    As an old purge player, I suggest that we use a new menu that is clean and simple, no stupid clutter shit.

    BUT use the old party system, please. (ALSO LOOK AT MY VEHICLE SUGGESTIONS THANKS) 

    Also, change up the player models or certain PD characters and for the thief, I will make a suggestion for that.

    This is a server review for defcon gaming, though.

    I may as well put my input here as well.

     

    Pros:

    • Custom DarkRP/Sandbox Mats
    • Custom Esc Menu. Wanted to point out their "updates" portion of it, thought it was pretty neato.

    • Absolute kick-ass Mini-Map.
    • Multicore-rendering popup.
      • (gmod_mcore_test 1). This is also a con in a way. It can cause clients to crash under certain rendering conditions (hence why it's a popup and non-mandatory).
         
    • Top Purgers.

    • Custom MOTD.
      • 6IbntG2.png (made it lower-res)
         
    • Laws of the land
      • G1Hr1pG.png
    • Skill/XP (with skill points).
    • Third-Person.
    • Voice chat edited.
      • cXP9DM2.png
    • Periodical decals cleanup on the map.
      • e2luuuF.png (this may have been just a moderator doing this but it's a good idea nonetheless)
    • "Server Guide".

     

     

    Cons:

    • Bad/Generic Loading Screen.
      • Also an unused portion of it.bn7ZZHc.png
    • A lot of incomplete downloads (lots of errors in game).
    • Tickrate >33 and a VAR still averaging 12+.
    • (this is my opinion): No Wiremod.
    • Bad HUD/UI.
    • A lot of script/game errors.
    • No visual Purge warning (aside from the timer). I think ours was much much better (still think ours should be less intrusive on the screen).
    • Lots of 3D2D Text screen usage (one of the top uses of client resources according to FProfiler)

     

     

    I'll keep updating this as I figure out more stuff and what I like/dislike on it.

     

    Overall, I can take a lot of ideas from the server and implement them in our own way.

    Towards Purge's end we ran at 33.

     

    Wanted to note that this ran very well (though towards Purge's end there wasn't many players/events).
