    A decently popular DarkRP server on Garry's Mod hosted by GMCHosting.

    Game - Garry's Mod

    Game Mode - Generic DarkRP

    IP Address - 208.103.169.33

    Port - 27015

    Pros
    • Decent population.
    • Good hosting provider.
    • A good DarkRP setup.


    Cons
    • Lies about "NO DOWNLOADS". There are custom downloads (e.g. a terminator skin).
    • Runs on 11 tick which is extremely low.
    • Occasionally run into script errors.


    What Can We Do Better
    • Run the server at ~22 tick for more smoother game play.
    • Perhaps make a generic DarkRP game mode that doesn't require a lot of downloads so we can put "Low Downloads" in the host name or something.
    • A more unique setup to DarkRP.
    • Clean up code and ensure script errors don't occur.


    Other Notes

    Server does not use Anycast's A2S_INFO query caching with GMCHosting.

    Kek. I was former senior mod there:feelsbadman:

    They used to be extremely biased toward certain people but things changed so it should be a bit better

    So you're a spy then, Eh?

     

    Also, low downloads is a blessing for a lot of people especially for something like Purge. At home it takes like 15+ minutes to download stuff to play for the first time with my potato internet and that's a huge turn off for me when joining a server.

    Lol, maybe. I don't go on there anymore. Only to lurk. They recently wiped their community. 

     

    I mean despite all that download, it's at least faster than purge. Oddly, it doesn't lag quite as bad as it shown. The only time it'll be probably lag is probably of course.. the props. They do have limit on how much hobos can build their base so... Yep
