Just my honest question because anytime I go to play on a GFL server seems like everything is just the same. Jat 476 / 11,373 Report Post Posted October 5, 2017 The reason why I constantly play on GFL servers is that first of all, our Gmod HNS server is the only alive and decent HNS server on Gmod. I love HNS, so I constantly play on the GFL server. Another reason why I play on the GFL servers in general is because I got to know quite a few people here, and it's fun to play with people you have already met in-game rather than random people from some other community, or at least that's my opinion. I'm also used to our types of servers anyway. Once I get hooked on something, I don't really like changing, so yeah, I wouldn't want to stop playing GFL's servers. When you hang around and get to know the community and the people who have been in it at least a month or 2, it becomes an enjoyable experience. Maybe people are lonely and they play on GFL because they find people in-game, and become online friends. Eventually they may (or may not) become a member, and find more people in the forums, find out about more servers and more games, and so on. This question could also apply to "why do you play a game so much, even with hundreds of hours played?" Because it's fun, dammit. If it gets old I'll stop playing a while, and soon i'll play again. The same likely goes for our servers, and pretty much any other server out there. It just, doesn't permanently get old. Makes me happy to still have some of the old players of RPG around and that still play. It's great. As for forums, I guess I just want to keep up with everything and be toxic every once in a while.
