[Discord] Topic of the week

This is just an idea, and almost all communities I am in usually have that kind of feature and it depends on the special setup. I was thinking, why don't we have an opt-in role assigned by one of our bots called notify or whichever role is fit to be notified by a post in #announcements about what topics we should go with. Current Events occurs, and some of them are pretty important from now and then, and there are some people that'd like to talk about their life, one subject, or something special like Valentines' Day, Easter, 4th of July, etc. 

 

The setup would be like:

Vote on the topic of the week! it ends ___ and starts on ___

1. Trump probably made some citizen mad over a decision he made

2. Relationships

3. Beverages

4. School

 

Have fun!

 

or something close like that.

 

A Discord Moderator or higher-ups would do the job alone to post in #announcements

If it's too difficult to do or too much work with a bot, then maybe we could have a Topic of the Week channel and just have someone like you announce the topic.

If you're going to do this every week, I would limit it to one day of the week. I like the idea, otherwise.

This seems like a great way to get people involved on the Discord. Presently, it's a dead 200 member server.

Sounds cool I would not use it but yeah sounds cool
