Essential Functions:

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert the field of Weapons Subsystems.
  • Understand, derive and maintain applicable system and subsystem requirements and verification.
  • Develop, refine and maintain supplier specifications and interface control documents. Participate in related program and supplier design reviews.
  • Provide SMS technical guidance and coordination across engineering team.
  • Author and release technical documents.
  • Perform as a focal point for analyzing data from laboratory and flight tests, and support formally verifying solution meets requirements.
  • Provide training to junior engineers.
  • The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university.
  • 14 Years of STEM related experience with Bachelors in Science; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Understanding of microwave/RF design fundamentals through relevant study or work experience.

  • Design of circuitry including synthesizers, filters, modulators, mixers, amplifiers, and samplers.

  • Demonstrated professional engineering experience as an expert in the areas of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) calibration of discrete sensors, detectors, and instrumentation; state of the art data acquisition technology and techniques; end-to-end performance analysis of measurement systems; and measurement uncertainty analysis.

  • Design using schematic capture tools.

  • High level analysis and block diagram level microwave design.

  • Experience with printed circuit board design.

  • Past responsibility for analog, digital and power conversion circuit design with appropriate analysis and/or CAD modeling.

  • Understanding of electronics manufacturing and design for manufacturability (DFM)

  • Understanding of microwave design fundamentals through relevant study or work experience.

  • Understanding of control schemes, analog, digital or software, magnetic and electric machine design and/or specification, EMI design, thermal analysis and packaging.

  • Manages the development and design of large, new, and unusually complex avionics technology, equipment, or systems that impact national or international programs and result in major advancement in the state-of-the-art of broad technologies.

  • Experience with detailed design analysis tools such as CST Microwave Study, and/or HFSS.

  • The ability to communicate your design choices to internal stake holders.

  • Experience with documentation necessary to support production (i.e. test procedures, records, bill of materials, SOWs, ICD’s, SCD’s, ECO’s and production support) and training.

  • Must be able to travel up to 25%.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance/SCI with polygraph.
  • Master's Degree in STEM field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the field of Weapons and Stores Management.
  • Experience developing and integrating stores carriage systems onto aircraft, and integration with bomb racks/carriage systems and weapons/stores. Includes experience with functionality required across the system including mission planning, pilot command and control, navigation system interface, and safety interlocks.
  • Understanding and experience with the MIL-STD-1760 Aircraft/Store Electrical Interconnection System standard, with the AS5725 Miniature Munition Store Interface (MMSI) and variants (JMMI), and familiarity with DoD Universal Armament Interface (UAI) standards, especially the Platform-Store Interface Control Document (PSICD).
  • Experience with airworthiness compliance for weapons capabilities and experience working with DOD customers certifying weapons capabilities on aircraft.
  • Experience with verification of SMS and aircraft requirements during supplier testing, system integration verification and flight testing.
  • Ability to write in depth technical reports and present to executive leadership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Step 3. Speak to Satan. 

Step 4. Ask him to grant your wish. 

Step 5. Let him steal your soul. 

Step 6. Kill an Archdemon. 

Step 7. Good Job, your now a Director or council member (depending on your choice.)
