First and foremost, before diving into this topic we (the staff of CS:S ZE) would like to apologize for taking so long in making this thread. We know we promised to do it about two weeks ago or so after our last admin meeting and unfortunately the Head Admin team has been very busy lately to properly word out this thread with the deserved explainations, so hopefully this will answer all the questions and will help clarifying a lot of things that have been happening around our community. Now, the first thing that we need to talk about is Events. You may have noticed that these last 4 events we've done some sort of alternation with them, as in one week we let you guys nominate events and the week after we do a preset event. This idea came to life in our last admin meeting (the one I mentioned would happen in ZE Event #104's announcement thread) where we agreed that nomination threads have been lackluster. While we're aware that Event #106 got a lot of nominations, unfortunately we don't believe in that just because it happened one time (and this because I had to complain to everyone in the Discord server multiple times only to get people to nominate) it'll keep happening consistently, as the one who makes these threads I get to see all the people that nominate and how often they do so, and sadly I'm the first one to see that even when we were in .ru we had several nomination threads where nominations were lacking. We thought the best thing to do to free some weight from you in a way but also to keep the events going is to alternate events in this way, one week we let you guys do the thing we've been doing for 90+ events, and the next week we do an event made by admins to give players more time to think of cool nominations. We get that after 100 events it is a bit rough to come up with fresh ideas, but the possibilities for fun events are still there, and that's also the other reason this thread is here for. Along with the decision of alternating events like this in the last meeting, we thought of opening this "Event Suggestion" Megathread, where people can dump in event ideas at any time they want. The rules for this thread are simple: Everyone can post their own event ideas (there's no limit in how many posts with ideas you can make, but please don't spam this thread either) when they feel like it, and every week we get an "admin selected event", admins can choose one random nomination from this megathread or one self-thought admin event. In short, events being handled by letting players nominate and vote for whatever we'll play on the weekend will still be the way things are done in here, except that instead of being done every week it will be done every 2 weeks. This thread will also serve the purpose that if players don't nominate stuff in the regular threads and admins also run out of ideas, we can always pick from some of these event ideas for either nomination threads or for weeks where "admins pick an event".
