When donating, you can either choose the 'Supporter' or 'VIP' packages. Supporter is higher than Member and VIP is higher than Supporter technically.

To add up to what Roy just said, each server has different perks for each rank, and you can find perks usually in the server MOTD's.
You get more perks according to your rank, following the hierarchy Roy mentioned (Member<Supporter<VIP).
The amount you donate will equals amount of days you will be getting.
Supporter, is in average 0.166(6) cents per day, while VIP is 10 cents more expensive, 0.266(6).

 

For example, if you choose to donate $10, you will be getting around 2 months of supporter OR 37 days of VIP (depending what you choose).
