I present the ultimate hightower2 experience:

RTD

No carts

random crits/spread

random headless horseman event hehe

homing projectiles

snipers can only kill on headshot(bodyshots no damage)

A HIGHER TOWER

those jump pads that launch u

more than 3 exits(cant complaint about spawn camping now)

and finally a mejilla death counter

Could wind up doing a Banana Bay server. Could spice things up other than having Hightower/2Fort most of the time

I was looking at the list of gamemodes for TF2 on Steam Guide.  The only one that pique my interest was the Zombie Fortress / Steam Guide. The wiki explains everything in detail and the first people that hosted it was also a clan called GFL (not us). The video guide explains in detail how the gamemode works. The maps that can be used are on gamesbanana. The a Super Zombie Fortress, very similar to the other one except it has custom class zombies. I honestly cannot find the original gamemode for Zombie Fortress, but I was able to find for Super Zombie Fortress on github.

Competitive GFL games with actual ingame medals. Think how cool it'd be to have a TF2 competitive scene and then being able to equip those medals in game to where on any of the GFL TF2 servers. 

 

Real Tournaments with actual cash pools where you have to buy in would be pretty cool and could earn GFL some more money.

 

Just a thought though.

6s with restrictions is fine, but highlander allows for a lot more diversity and I think is more accessible (so yeah UGC style)

If you have little tournamets though and invite GFL players to compete with a cashpool you could do both 6s and highlander. Youd just need enough people to sign up.

Of course I barely know how anything logistically works, I'd just love to spectate or play in a competitive scene.

No CTF, maybe allow payload, definitely allow 5 cp, and KOTH could be fun for 6s.

Rant end, Ill add this to the thread.

Maybe extend the invite to other servers GFL is associated with for bigger cash pools with GFL and the other server taking a portion of the cut? 

 

Just a pipe dream of course.

Ok, I have multiple ideas for TF2 24/7 maps:

 

CTF Well with a 300 cap limit along with one with 30 caps

Doublecross with a 300 cap limit along with one with 30 caps

Helltower with a no Carts server like Hightower

Viaduct

2Fort Invasion with the same stuff as your 2Fort servers

Upward along with a server without the cart

Any of the underplayed Official Maps that aren't known to new players like Nightfall

both of the current Player Destruction Maps we have officially

Beta Maps like Cactus Canyon and Asteroid along with fanmade completed ones

I think that's all I want for the 24/7 map ideas
