annoying furry 6,300 / 63,950 Report Post Posted June 29, 2019 Updated June 29, 2019. Effective June 30, 2019. 0. Introduction If you’re reading this, you have probably been accepted as an admin or an operator for GFLClan Breach. If not, then hi, I guess? This document is generally the only formal training that admins are given, however, you are welcome to ask questions should you have any. 1. Guidelines Admins and Operators represent the server and the community in a significant way as they are the members of staff that players interact with most. To maintain the image of the community and ensure the fair and consistent application of the rules, we have a few guidelines that all members of staff are to adhere to regardless of rank. These guidelines (when applicable) apply on of GFL’s platforms and wherever it is reasonable that we expect you to uphold them (For example, in the discord of one of our partners or in a DM with a player regarding a warn/ban). Be respectful to everybody, even if they act hostile or rude to you. If you feel that they are trying to rile you up and might be succeeding, take a break. Know, understand, and follow the rules in the MOTD. As staff, you are expected to set an example for players to follow. You are also expected to follow the rules of the GFL forums, discord, and any other GFL server you might play on. Admins and Operators are required to play on the server for at least 4 hours per week. Inform Xy if you are going to be unable to meet activity for any reason. Do not use the permissions granted to you by your rank when it is not necessary. Gags, mutes, bans, and kicks should not be issued unless a rule was broken that calls for said punishment. Do not punish somebody without knowing for certain that they did the thing that they are accused of. Collect proof for bans that are over a month in duration and cannot have evidence easily pulled from the server log (Damage is not logged in the persistent log, but kills are). Proof should be either a video, photo, or similar. Follow punishment guidelines Use common sense. I'm not going to cover every little prohibited behaviour in these guidelines because we would be here all day if I did. If you don't know if something is okay, ask yourself if a reasonable person would think that was okay. If you still don't know, ask a member of senior staff. 2. Common Commands !sban <player> <time in minutes> <reason> - Bans a player for the specified duration and reason. 0 may be given as a time to make the ban permanent. !sbanid <steamid> <time in minutes> <reason> - Bans a player using their steamid for the specified duration and reason. 0 may be given as a time to make the ban permanent. !kick <player> <reason> - Kicks a player from the server for the given reason !sgag <player> <time in minutes> <reason> - Removes a player’s ability to use the text chat for the specified duration and reason. 0 will make a gag permanent. !smute <player> <time in minutes> <reason> - Removes a player’s ability to use the voice chat for the specified duration and reason. 0 will make a mute permanent. !bancheck <player> - Opens a player’s ban history in the steam overlay. !warn <player> <reason> - Warns a player for a given reason !warns - View your own warns. As an admin, this opens up an extended awarn menu that allows you to view the warns of other players. You may also issue new warns from here. Senior Staff may use this to remove warns too. !heal <player> <percent of health> - Restores a player’s health to <percent> of max. Use this if a player was almost RDMed. !tp <player> - Moves a player to wherever your crosshair is pointing. !bring <player> - Brings a player to your position. Works best if you are alive. !return <player> - Returns a player to where they were before you brought/teleported them. Use this if you accidentally move somebody. @@message - (ulx tsay) will print a message with your name in the server’s global chat. All spectators and living players will see the message. @message - (ulx asay) will print a message in the admin chat. Use this to talk with other admins. !banspray <player> - Removes the target’s ability to spray. If somebody spray’s porn, you may ban them instantly (from spraying). There are other commands you may access. You can see them by typing !menu, however, these are the commands you will be using most often. 3. Punishments These punishments are issued to players when they break a rule. Leaving to avoid being punished is grounds for a ban to be issued. RDM Warn+Slay -> Warn+Slay -> Ban The ban time is 1 day Crossfire is not RDM. Ghosting Straight to ban The ban time is 1 week. This one is difficult to prove. Teaming Warn in Tsay (@@) or psay (!p) -> Warn + Slay -> Ban The ban time is 1 day. Running away from an SCP is NOT teaming. Deliberately being turned by SCP-049 or SCP-610 also does not currently count as teaming. Spamming Text/Voice Chat, Harassment, other unwanted communications related behaviours Gag/Mute for 10 minutes -> Gag/mute for 30 minutes -> Gag / mute for 60 minutes -> Gag/mute permanently Do not ban for this. If a player leaves the server to avoid a gag/mute, use sourcebans’ web block feature to issue the mute/gag online. If applicable, you block a player's PMs. Having 10 mutes or gags and committing any gaggable/mutable Permanent mute or gag (whichever they have 10 of). Mutes and Gags count separately of each other. All mutes/gag must be within the last month for it to count. Having 10 warns and committing any warnable offence Ban Ban time is 24 hours. Warns must have been issued within the last month for them to count towards a ban. Having 5 bans on breach and committing any bannable offence Ban Ban time is permanent Bans must have been issued within the last 6 months for them to count towards a permanent ban. Admins are not to issue these bans directly. Instead, they should elevate the matter to a member of senior staff. The senior staff team will then review the member’s case. The player will be permanently banned should the senior staff team decide that said player has been enough of a problem to warrant this. Hacking Straight to ban Ban time is permanent Proof is always required for this. Admin impersonation Verbal Warning + Ask to change -> Warn + Ask to change name/tag -> Ban Ban time is one day. Mass RDM Straight to ban Ban time is one week, however, if they already have been banned for mass(on breach), the ban time is a month. Mass RDM is RDMing 3 people Spraying Pornography Spray ban Attempted Mass RDM Straight to ban Follow the same ban guidelines as one would for Mass RDM. Attempted mass rdm is killing 2 players and damaging a third player by 40+ hp. Exploiting/Breaking doors and elevators on purpose Warn -> Kick -> Ban Ban time is 3 hours. If the user has been banned for this before, all subsequent offenses are 6 hours. Be sure that they did it on purpose. Advertising non-gfl servers/ or Advertising Hacks Straight to ban Ban time is permanent Do not ban for binds, youtube channel, or any other accidents. Talking about a community is not grounds for a ban. The person should be clearly telling people to join their server or download their hacks. Proof is required. Spamming Admin Chat Warn -> Kick -> Ban Ban time is 24 hours. Depending on the severity of the spam, the warn step may be bypassed at the admin’s discretion. Misuse of Admin Chat / Filing false reports on another player Warn (Verbal) -> Warn -> Ban Ban time is 12 hours. Repeat offenders may be banned for 24 hours provided their last ban was within the month. One time attempts to chat with the admins are fine, but players should not be having conversations with admins in the admin chat. Ban Evasion Ban Ban is Permanent The original ban should be extended to be permanent if it was not already. We have automated systems that check for common signs of ban evasion and take action based on those. However, it is still possible it could miss somebody. Make sure you have proof before banning. All other minor offences Warn -> Warn -> Warn -> Ban Ban time is 12 hours. The ban time increases to 24 hours if the player has been banned for any reason within the past month. Minor offences include camping, targeting, and anything else not mentioned elsewhere in these guidelines. 4. Punishments for staff members To help maintain objectivity in my management of the staff team, I will be laying out here some concrete rules that pertain to my disciplining of the staff. I call this system “youtube, but with an extra strike.” Admins are given strikes for misconduct. Once an admin receives 4 strikes, they are demoted. For minor breaches of the guidelines, a single strike shall be issued. For moderate breaches of the guidelines, two strikes will be issued. Severe breaches of the guidelines will result in immediate dismissal. When a staff member is considered for a strike, the case should be discussed by senior staff. Whether or not the strike is issued is decided by a vote between the senior staff members (simple majority). Each strike has a different consequence associated with it. 1st strike - Nothing happens. This is essentially a verbal warning. 2nd strike - Temporary demotion back to operator. 3rd strike - Temporary suspension from admin no longer than 2 weeks. They will be reinstated as an operator when the suspension is up. 4th strike - Complete demotion from staff. A strike expires after 4 months. (signature made by @Kaylode) Previously known as Xy.
