VIP just turned off on JB

Recommended Posts

It says that my VIP expires on Aug 28th, but for some reason my VIP turned off.

Which is weird cause it was working fine yesterday.

This should be resolved on map change.

What happened was our "Remove Expired" task broke a while back (it didn't generate any errors, so I didn't know until somebody pointed it out) and I fixed it last night. It stopped working after the move due to some MySQL queries breaking with the upgraded MySQL server. This only affected the in-game perks, so the user's profile would still be set to Member, etc.

I ran a script to remove all the expired Supporters/VIPs since May 25th. I'm not sure why it showed your VIP as expired in the script. Therefore, I ran another script to compare all the expired Steam IDs to their primary and secondary groups on the website. If they had Supporter or VIP, it would add them to a list. Your Steam ID and another person's Steam ID (@Geovanni) experiencing the same issue showed on the list. So I'm sure this list is pretty accurate. Here is the full list:

Quote

76561198045853772 => 3
76561198206534669 => 3
76561198131854116 => 3
76561198005394683 => 3
76561198170650245 => 3
76561198068768469 => 2
76561198143063336 => 3
76561198328526148 => 3
76561198142120845 => 3
76561198950487607 => 3
76561198088948993 => 3
76561198140378035 => 3
76561198067064651 => 3
76561198870868570 => 3

The number 3 means they're a VIP and the number 2 means they're a Supporter. I've updated their groups back since.

I will investigate a bit to see what went wrong, but I don't plan on running the script again since the "Remove Expired" task should be working properly now.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you!
