Event #181 -- Sonaki Saturday

Event Overview:

For this week we'll be going back in time to an era of asian Zombie Escape. We'll be playing a set of maps that may come off as unusual for a majority of the newer players, but to those of you who are familiar with the Sonaki ZE server that was around back in the day these maps will immediately ring a bell as they used to be that server's most popular maps.

 

This event nomination, as well as Moray Marathon were both tied for top pick, so I put both of these nominations through Random.org to choose a winner at random, as you may have noticed, this event won.

PLEASE REFER TO THE TIME LISTED IN THE STEAM GROUP AS THE ABSOLUTE TIME AT WHICH THE EVENT STARTS!

 

Notice:

• Events are scheduled in our Steam group, however, we also always announce over at our Discord server when the event begins.

Special Kickers:

• For this event we'll be running through all four maps with Sonaki settings enabled, this means:
  • Extra jump height disabled
  • Fire grenades disabled, grenades are instead replaced with high knockback grenades
  • Faster zombies, as well as more op bhop settings
  • As many grenades as you can buy provided you can defend
  • Other things I don't remember at the moment

VIP Rewards:

• Winners of two or all three maps will be receiving a week of V.I.P.!
  • Due to how Mountain Escape works with its random stages, that one won't be counted for winning rewards, only the previous three maps

Rules:

• This event should be of a somewhat chill nature, try to keep the micspam / off-topic to a low.
• Regular server rules will apply for this event as usual
• Sitting in spec unless you're a spectating admin is not allowed.
• We'll be playing each map for 120 minutes maximum. If the players want to extend a map and we're doing well then an admin can bring up an extend vote.

Just a note @Vanya the BBO version doesn't have random stages (It sort of does) it only has 3 (4 technically but the original mode shouldn't count as a proper stage) that admins can select via the admin room, it's not v5_zy with 50 stages that are meant to be selected randomly.
