Hey, small update on how things are going to go down on event day.

 

When we duplicated the current server to server #2, the client preferences database file we cloned to server #2 was corrupted (what stores all your settings). Unfortunately, it is not possible to grab this file without corruption from the main server while it's online, so the current plan is that we're going to take down server #1 for a couple minutes at 1:30 PM central to give us a chance to copy it to the 2nd server. This will still be 3 and a half hours before the event so I don't expect this to impact much, but I'm posting this as a disclaimer for those who are planning to camp server #1 many hours in advance.

Some people (and leaders) tell to use Negevs during slim and fat santa bosses.

I just can't get comfortable with it. I'm much more efficient with Bizon than with Negev during the boss fights.
Does anybody have links to videos with good Negev gameplay during these boss fights?

Today RSS made an attempt to beat Santa Ex. They had a really strong team: out of 6 tries on the last stage the made it to the final boss 3 times, but didn't beat the map.

 

In their best try 21 humans made it to the final boss with all the items. Two other times when they made it to the end they had fewer humans and only few items: 16 humans with mini and beam (one of each); 11 humans with rocket, mini and beam (one of each).

 

The event lasted for 3 hours.

So honestly I'm going to come to the event and enjoy playing the map (I like tryharding it from time to time), but I don't expect to win it (with this version of the stripper) and probably will not stay longer than 3 hours.

 

In my opinion, stripper version #6 difficulty was about right. The RSS win in the video that I posted above may look like it wasn't hard, but in reality I've witnessed about 10 (or more) very good tries when they made it to the last boss with all the special weapons, a heal and a large number of people and still lost, before they finally got the win.

 

Stripper version #9 difficulty is too much.

 

P.S. They were using SMGs (practically all of the players) with pretty limited number of rounds in them, e.g.: bizon - 55, p90 - 50, mp9 - 40, mp7 - 50, mp5 - 50. Negev is restricted on the server.

 

P.S.S. And as often, the first try was the best try. xD

Wouldve been a win if you trimmed more humans and kept the items
