Here's the project I'm currently working on in my art class for the Cultural Diversity contest. What we do is we pick a student from our district, do some research on their country of origin/ethnicity, and rework their culture into art. This is based on the Irish myth about Fionn Mac Cumhail, a badass motherfucker who battles a fucking shapeshifting giant. Sorry if you can't really see the drawing that well, it's not darkened enough for you to see, but it's enough for me to see with my own eyes. BTW if you already posted some of your art in here, that's fine, since I've turned this into a thread afterward. It's a socially conscious piece about the status of Sanctuary cities (Cities that refuse to deport illegal immigrants) and their effect on the U.S. economy. The stack of shit that's on fire on the right is money, which is supposed to be our economy. The dudes in the middle are illegal immigrants kind of causing the damage and fire, and the dudes in a line are the guys trying to protect the immigrants. And obviously, the dudes on the left are the police and other stuff.
