  1. The rule is:

    Quote

    Toxicity
Do NOT be overly toxic. This includes using blatant or extreme racism or sexism, trolling, overly negative, causing trouble with other users, etc.

A few uses of the "N" word doesn't fit under the extreme racism rule, however, if it is over used and constantly spammed/said or used in a manner where it is to mean harm to a player (IE not joking) then action can be taken against it. That's GFL policy on it. It's always been like that though each server has slightly different views on how it should be handled.

  2. So yeah. I recently brought a monitor which turned up yesterday. I went for @Darkling's suggestion and brought Element Gaming 27" QHD 144hz 1ms Gaming Monitor. The monitor runs perfectly fine when I use a HDMI / DVI cable at 60 Hz but as soon as I start using a display port and jump it back up to 144 Hz every so often, under load like when I'm playing games, my monitor blacks out for anywhere between 1 and 5 seconds.

    - I've already tested it at 60hz and 144hz and 144hz is the issue

               - Tested with HDMI + DVI @ 60 Hz and it's fine

               - Tested with another computer with the above and it's fine

    - I've swapped out my power supply to a decent 550w (From 500w) as I was meaning to do that anyway

    - I've changed some display settings as something suggested online

               - Changed "scaling mode" from Aspect Ratio to Full Screen

               - Changed "perform scaling on"from Monitor to GPU

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks

  3. Thank you for all the suggestions. I think it's safe to say that I'll go with 2k@144hz.

I'm gonna take a look at Darkling's one as that one is standing out to me at the moment. Reasonable price and gives me what I'm after. I don't do much gaming at the moment so spending a little less isn't an issue.

  4. Looking for a new monitor but I can't decide between 4k or 1080 @ 144hz. I don't have enough money for both so what are your suggestions?

Also if you've got any recommendations on monitors I'd like to see them : )

    Edit: Also considering 2k @ 144hz

What size is the team? In their intro it Sounds as if the dude on the left basically does all the coding?

11/12 and if you had have read the Kickstarter page it would have said that.

Updates also come out quite often.

Maybe leave some spec requirements? I know That you need 12-16 GB of ram to run it smoothly and a decent processor.

Keep in mind that you’ll need a computer with similar specs to Rust to run the game. So please don’t enter the giveaway if you can not run Rust.

Edit: Just remembered about this on their FAQ page.

When are the founder applications being held?

Those have been and gone. There's a new founder already just that it's top secret. Roy has secretly been removed from power and the new guy has taken his place but.. ohh god i talk to much.

  8. I'm a little confused. Will the new "CA" rank have a forum rank? And is all trusted stuff on the forum being removed off the forums so we can't see it? I've cleared out a lot of my discord channels so I've only got a few and I don't really want to be joining more. I've always been a strong believer of having things documented on the forums so it's there as a record as to who said what and it's there if we need it in the future.

  9. When you sign up to the forums there is an option there that allows you to receive emails from site administrators. It's ticked by default as far as I know. There is also an option in the forum ACP to send out mass emails through there which can be easily done by a higher up.

This is a great idea and is potentially a decent way to drive more people to the forums. I know that for me and my friends an active community with a forums certainly keeps us interested. @the shuria first showed me the GFL forums when I first started here and that's partially what has kept me here.

  10. Something in this gap here could be cool. Like a sign in and/or sign up box.

we'll have their email for marketing campaigns (events, new servers, etc).

We should make use of this a lot more. During my time as a Higher Up and Director we didn't make use of the email function once. It would be nice to see a Higher Up "Press Team" as such who can send out mass emails advertising events or other announcements. I might bring something up in trusted about this and get the higher ups attention.
