Q: How do I sign up for member?

A: Sign up using the link here.

Q: If my post does not meet the requirements that have been set out, what will happen to it?

A: It will be deleted without warning.

Q: What happens if I am not a member and I post?

A: Your post will be deleted without warning.

Q: What happens if I keep posting posts that do not meet the requirements?

Q: What happens if I have no interest in the Tournament but I post anyway?

A: Your post will be deleted without warning.

    Q: Will you make a 3v3 tournament?

A: Possibly, if there is enough interest in it.

Q: Why am I banned from the event?

A: You probably kept posting even though you did not meet the requirements. Please read the requirements in future.

Then let everyone know about it, what's the point of working in the dark

A lot of the stuff they do is for ether requests from the community or Server Manager requests for art work. However a biweekly or monthly report could be introduced and published in one of the Update forums to show what the Creative Team is doing. It'll provide a start to the much needed transparency.

I do agree with most of your suggestions here. I'll write my thoughts down about each point.

First of all, add a Teamspeak Administration Team post.

This being that, as a TS3 Admin, I barely know who are my colleagues with whom I might need to collaborate, despite this 'role' being pretty straightforward.

    Not very Important

Change the talk power permission in the Help Desk channel to match TS3 Admin's talk power, it is rather annoying having to grant myself talk power/assigning myself channel operator... I mean, it says 'Admins+ - Talk Power. Others - Text Only.' and TS3 Admins clearly have a higher permission level compared to Server Admins.

Combining these together because they're both about TS3 Admins. I have suggested in the past to create a roster for the Teamspeak Admins but apparently it wasn't needed. I am still in favor of having some forum space for the Teamspeak Admins such as a forum or a place where they can record stuff, ask questions etc. As far as I was aware TS3 admins had the ability to talk there, however if that is not the case then I think it's something we need to change. TS3 Admins are supposed to be helping people as well as enforcing TS3 rules so having this as an addition would make sense.

I believe the Community Advisors should be working with the players who are trying to start a new 'mini-division' in a different game. Not only will this provide with a bigger influx of players and new members, but also potential donators.

This is another good idea and it'd certainly give us CAs something to do. We've already got something similar in place for the CS:GO eSports team, where ever they have gone, where a CA is helping, advising and pushing them in the right direction. Not sure if that's still going on but it certainly should be and it's a good idea. In terms of new future Divisions it would probably have to go through the BoD to get the final approval then a CA could be assigned to them when everything is finalised.

The new 'Creative Team' should start working together with the higher-ups and try finding new methods of advertising the GFL Community to the exterior. As said above, this will potentially bring income.

This is something we should have been doing, however the Creative Team doesn't have enough interest in it or the necessary skills to push something like this forward. We have a great GFX team lead by @qDogg, who is doing a very good job, but we have a very very small Media team consisting of me and @Darkling where our skills aren't the best and we're missing quite a bit of access to Social Media. There's also not a lot of interest in it ether. I have access to the YouTube channel and Steam group and that's it. @Darkling has none. Something we've been trying to fix but nothing has been done.

    We currently have:

    • Facebook
    • Twitter
    • Twitch
    • YouTube
    • Steam

But they're not all being used to their fullest extent. Something we do need to work on. We could perhaps ask the other Creative Team members (GFX) for some help but I'm not sure if they want to do anything. Worth an ask though.

    Add the following 'emoji's'

Seems like some fair images to add, though, only the BoD can add them in.

I'm going to create a thread in the Trusted section where we can hopefully get the ball rolling on some of these ideas and even get them implemented.

    Thank you for your suggestions!

  4. Hi @Berndz.

You actually have VIP for 2 months. It will expire on the 2nd of March this year so your VIP status has gone through, hence why you have been charged twice. Can you access this forum here? If so, your VIP is working 100% correctly on the forums, after all you do have the purple name and VIP trophy on your forum account so you should be able to. With regards to in game, double check one more time. If you still don't have it wait for the server to change the map and is should appear. If it still doesn't work then try another server just to make sure that the problem isn't the server. If you're still having issues with it after that then @Roy will hopefully see this thread and help you out with it.

Always talk to the manager of the server if you think there is abuse going on. Admin powers should only be used when needed.

Just going to add on this. Make sure you provide significant proof in the form of other videos, screenshots or chatlogs otherwise your case might likely be brushed off as there's no proof. Always having proof to back your claim up is a good idea.

well I'm going to become a member so I can get powers on the server aswell.

Normally anyone with extra power, such as an operator, are listed on the server's staff list. I highly doubt that people request membership because they can get operator powers since operators have an "Operator" tag on the server as opposed to member, distinguishing the two "ranks". However, this idea might have some potential so I've put it in the GFL Staff's discord to see what they think.

i had the same problem on my tablet. Flipped it to landscape and the accept and deny options came up, so try that if it's possible.

It's most likely because this website prioritises different "widgets/apps" so that you can save room and make the important things show when using thinner resolutions such as your phone. That way it doesn't clutter up the space on your phone and make everything a complete mess.

If you make your internet browser thinner you'll also see the same effect happen as well.

What's  really nibbling at me on these non-community Divisions as well as many other ideas is that people are waiting for Board of Directors or someone like Roy to give the okay at it.  DON'T!

Thing is it'll never be an official group without their approval. By all means go ahead and do it but it most likely won't be official without BoD approval.

  9. To be fair Call of Duty is a game that's pretty far away from the stuff GFL plays. I doubt we would see something like this being introduced but it'd certainly add some diversity.

There was a post about making future Divisions as part of clans as opposed to having servers with them for games such as CoD, Overwatch etc. You can find it here. You might want to voice your opinions there.

  10. I certainly choose my admins wisely. In an admin I look for:

    - Someone who knows the rules and is active

    - Someone who is committed to going the extra mile on the server

    - Mature, but knows when to have a laugh and a joke

    - Someone who's not 100℅ strict but knows when to put their foot down

    - Experience is always appreciated though not needed

    - Someone who is willing to learn

    - Forum activity

    That's my personal list.
