  1. Hey GFL,

While I am but a relatively new member here I thought it would only be proper to notify my leave of absence. I have left my PTSD untreated and tried to self medicate for too long now. It has gotten to a point where I have been getting panic attacks near daily and I have decided to seek professional help. I am not sure whether I will go full inpatient or through out patient care but I guess we'll see what my circle of support thinks will help me best. I enjoy going on the GFL 1v1 csgo server daily and at times going on the TS3 and listening to Dan's ramblings about how sweet his nonsensical crosshair is :). Hopefully I get well soon so we can continue that fun.

    Cheers,
    bfk

  2. When I was younger I lived in a trap house (I live a very different normal life now away from that lifestyle its been 5-6 years. The best decision I ever made). On Halloween of 2011 our house was robbed at gunpoint by 5 guys and they shot one of my old friends, stole several 10's of thousands of dollars, and our whole stash. I had to leave the state and restart my life. Best decision I ever made was to leave, live cleanly, getting back into college, and focus on taking care of my family purely legitimately.

Yeah this isn't normal, I have an i5-4460 with a GTX 1070 and I get ~299 FPS (300 FPS Cap). Also, running the settings you say you're running your PC should be getting more FPS. One thing you can try (you might have) is setting the max FPS through console. Type fps_max 300 and turn off vsync. Keep in mind that there is another command to change the FPS in the main screen. If you still can't seem to get it fixed you can PM me or find me in TeamSpeak, I'm usually on around 8-10 PM EST.

I PM'd you and I will be on the teamspeak tonight to see if you are on :)

  4. I'd like to visit my family in Korea and get to know them as my mom decided to move to America and it is hard to stay in contact with them. Also I want to pay off my mom's house so that she does not have to worry about it. I hope to live long enough to watch my sister's son grow up (she is due this month). Basically I want to know my family is secure and then I am all good to meet the reaper. It would be nice to see Radiohead one time.

  5. Hey,

So I recently built a computer with a i5-6600k and a GTX 1070 (the one with the triple fans). It seems that I only get 200ish FPS on low settings (resolution 4:3 with black bars 1024x768). I feel that I am missing something and that I should be getting more FPS. Or am I overestimating the CPU+GPU set up?

    This is on CSGO BTW.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  6. My current rank is MG1. I have played "seriously" for about 3 weeks as I was a 1.6 player without a computer that could run csgo. I hope to hit a level where I can play ESEA without being a complete shitter. I'd like to hit DMG-LE before i try.

  7. Hey guys!

I am bfk on csgo but my real name is Brian.

A little about me: I am 24 years old currently attending DePaul University in Chicago. I am studying Anthropology with a minor in museum studies. I am really interested in studying cultures outside of my own but I am also a proud Korean American. I'm on the 1v1 server daily and enjoy eSports and traditional sports (huge basketball nerd). I love golden era 90's hip hop and spend a decent amount of my free time going to shows. I am glad to be introduced to this community and hope to get to know a few of ya over time. Sorry about all the "I am" as I am a poor writer :D.

P.S. the art forum posts are really enjoyable nice work.

  8. Like Crusti said I wouldn't worry about taxes until you are making over 3k. If I was you I would look at jobs in delivery. When I was your age I started working delivery for an Italian restaurant and was making 25-35 an hour. As a delivery driver you work as an independent contractor thus often can get away without paying the taxes if its a business that cashes you out nightly. You can get paid back money per mile you've driven as well if you do end up paying taxes as an independent contractor (as long as you buy all your gas on a card to prove your mileage). Meanwhile I would highly suggest applying to as many paid internships as you can so that your work experience can perhaps translate into future employment. That is just my two cents. Apply to many places try different jobs out and gain some experience on the way :).
