We upgraded our web server during that time, and, the people that have donated and/or applied for member are missing their perks.
@Roy and @Xy_ are currently working on getting it sorted. VIPs and Supporters get obvious priority in this situation, though.
We are sorry for this, it was overlooked during that time and completely flew right over our heads.

You do realize you can post all these player models in ONE THREAD, instead of spamming the forums?
-
Title.
It has come to my attention from some server admins regarding the fact that players simply cannot find where to apply for member.
We should always expect that the average player on our servers has the iq of a walnut and it is Hard to navigate to Applications > Member Application so I propose something of this sort:
ps. can someone clean the suggestions sub-forum

guys honestly, just don't spam, I get the meme is fun and all but don't put 500k "may"'s like last thread plz

What's your STEAMID?
Are you using services such as Nvidia NOW and/or under a VPN? -

Your job is to handle your division as a DL, not moderate. Just because you have moderation powers, it does not mean you should use them
I won't do Moderators job, but when I see something that's obviously rule-breaking, trust me, I will use them. That's such a dumb argument, it's like saying the head director of the FBI should let a crime happen because it's the fucking cops job to arrest people. Stop trying to bureaucratize this community. It's a gaming community and being a jerk has no excuse. If you have disruptive behaviour, it doesn't make you exempt from being punished, just because "iT'S nOt iN tHe RuLeS".

I will also take this time to remind you that you are DL. I personally do not think DLs (or any rank outside of the explicit moderation team) should be doing moderation work aside from their own division's boundaries since that is not their job.
You're right, I'm just going to patiently wait for a mod to get online while you guys post loli pics or whatever cause it's not my job : )

Isn't that why we have a moderation team leader? Lol
To add up to what I was saying, here's a prime example of a place where in the rules it doesn't explicitly say "Don't sPoIl mOvIEs"

Honestly at this point it should be common sense, and if you're so fucking stupid to not have any, you probably should be punished.
I don't really check the general gfl discords unless pinged, but if I end up seeing a spoiler, I will delete it and warn the user. Just because it doesn't cover in the rules it doesn't mean it's a good practice.

Hello Everyone.
As a way to promote transparency and allow users to view what we are currently working on, we have made our to-do list public.
Anyone is able to check it here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AHy9GS6nHN558cxyl55KCag5BZIZb9MJ3IWEDvpUB4g/edit?usp=sharing
Thanks

I am very against changing this. I feel like this is step 1 in becoming this website. The background animation does not fit into our theme, and, as already pointed out, it doesn't look that great. I am not sure why the text shadow is used like this. It makes it stand out in a weird, asymmetric way. If you remove the shift, you can get a glowing, symmetric effect like this: Supporter, which I find better, but I am not sure that is something I would want.
Furthermore, getting these things to play well with forums will probably be a nightmare, and, at the moment, we are still having issues with incorrect colors on certain overlapping roles.
that is a great website

Anyway yeah, the shift is just a shadow effect, but I honestly don't mind either. There are ways of making it look good yet professional, and I would sort of disagree with you on the fact it makes our website look like that 🤔
Regarding the overlapping roles.. I don't think it would affect anything at all. After all this is just editing an already existing value. It would not cause any more bugs afaik. (From all the testing I've done on my IPS forums, no bugs were found)
Regarding background animation, we have a gfx team right? Something could be done. That is solely an example of what could possibly be done 👍

will this effect also go over ranks (admin, manager, etc) if the person has VIP or Supporter?
oh snap that's pretty good idea, but not that I know of. Only for main group

I have 2 bugs to report.
1, I tried using the account settings to sync my TeamSpeak account to my forums account, create a new channel even, but I see nothing happen even when I'm connected to the server. I thank @Unknown for assigning my rank manually, but I still cannot create my own channel, even from my phone (I use chrome on both PC and my phone)
2, I've noticed that when posting, sometimes the post count doesn't go up as it should (I've made 13 posts, 14 with this one, and 9 are counted, 10 if this one is counted properly.)
AFAIK Teamspeak sync is broken, has been for a while.
You don't have perms because it was the gfl bot that would create channel and assign you channel admin.
Some sub-forums don't add to your post count (like spam ones) -
Hyperscrolling is a "feature" in certain mouses, usually logitech that allows players to make the scrollwheel scroll super fast. This, paired with binding your jump to mwheelup and mwheeldown allows you to have an unfair advantage over other players, having better jumps etc.
So no, it is not admin abuse and I am fairly certain it is in the rules you are not allowed to do so. Yet, if you wish to appeal, use the link provided in the post above. -
Your supporter/VIP status updates on map change, so you would have to wait for that.
Why not link your steam account to the forums?
1) Visit Profile > Account Settings > Steam. Upon linking your profile, return to to this page. If your profiles is still not present, use the menu to the right to manually update your profile cache.
2) Click Edit Profile above. Find the Steam ID custom profile field and populate it with your Steam ID.
Valid Steam Input format for Profile Field:
- Steam Name: steamcommunity.com/id/XXXXXXXXX/ Where XXXXXXXXX is your Steam Name
- 17 digit Steam ID: ex. 76561197961234567
- Old school Steam ID: ex. STEAM_0:0:1234567

I am not entirely sure, so correct me if I am wrong, but that will lead to extreme strain on the CPU. ZE by itself is REALLY resource intensive so adding more weight onto the server would probably hurt.Oh this is Source, sorry, lol.
Thought you mean CS:GO. -

FromSoftware team up with George R.R. Martin
in General Discussion
Posted
How freaking awesome is this?
FromSoftware are well known for their amazingly built and detailed games, with astonishing story-telling and levels. Now paired up with George Martin himself, the characters arcs, story, levels etc will be heightened to a whole new level. These are really exciting times to live in for a FromSoftware fan.
Although I don't think he will be able to dispense much time due to him setting a deadline for the final books (Source), the name itself bears a heavy weight.
More info about this:

And a VaatiVidya video about the topic:

(Vaati is probably the most notorious FromSoftware-related youtuber, I love his content)
So what do you guys think? Excited? Yay or Nay?
