  1. GFL has now added a new CS:GO EU 1v1 Arena server to it's CS:GO Division to accompany the successful US server.

    The new EU server should help a lot of the people regarding ping such as me who are not from the US area. The actual location of the server is in UK with the new provider. Feel free to join at 185.177.22.161:27017

    • Cvar violation detection for cheats that bypass them

    While I understand that, you need an admin team. I suggest taking into account prior experience within the community (Heck you have someone who is currently an admin asking) 

    When you have interest like that, from someone who is at least somewhat credible, considering he's an admin now, I'd take it while the interest is still high.

     

    also as a note, I wasn't trying to go on the attack with this post, I was generally making constructive criticism. I've been playing rust so my toxic comes out 

    The server was not public at the moment the application was created, there was nothing but empty sub-forum. It is pretty pointless to accept admins for something that does not exist yet with 0 hours played.

    • Added reconnect plugin to reduce the player timeout/crashing issue
    • Added GameMe stats ranking plugin for to replace Hlstats, all the old stats have been reset. New Stats can be found here  or in-game with command rank
    • Added anti bhop, antispam and couple anticheat plugins to automate most common/obvious cheat bans (working really effectively so far, +22 bans in 12 hours)
    • Added new ban/mute/gag reasons and removed unnecessary ones that have nothing to do with 1v1 for admins
    • Chat tags for VIPs, Members and Staff will be enabled once the plugin gets authorized by TOG
    • Enabled command !calladmin for people to spam our shoutbox every time they get killed (waiting for it to be connected, SoonTM)
    • Updated MOTD and admin list to be up to date

    • Increased map time limit from 12 to 15 minutes
    • Lowered AFK Manager movement requirement, as it kept moving players to spectator that won their arena and were walking around spawn waiting for a new round
    • Lowered AFK manager time before moving to spectate, since a lot of people keep being AFK for multiple rounds with a bit of movement which makes those rounds pointless
    • Increased delay between automated messages in chat,  because it was too spammy affecting the normal discussions

    • Removed annoying maps that kill the server population (still have to review all maps and get feedback on maps to add/remove)
    • Removed AUG and sg556 weapons as they are heavily disliked and annoying when someone uses them
    • Removed a lot of unnecessary plugins, updated outdated ones
    • Removed unnecessary admin commands (burn, gravity etc.)
    • All inactive operator/admins removed
    • Removed HLradio as panorama update makes it useless and it's just spamming chat

If whatever crashes you're trying to fix was happening before the panorama update, it makes me think you might be dealing with a different issue entirely. Since this only became an issue for us when Panorama launched.

    The user timeout and crashes on map change have been reported on Alliedmods before panorama update as well, but it is still the same, seems to have gotten more common after panorama update on the ZE. It's not linked to any specific server, it can encountered on a fresh empty server as well.

I'm currently testing the plugin that forces players to reconnect and miss the gap of timeout on CS:GO 1v1 server to see if it reduces the random disconnect crashing, from what it looks like the plugin could potentially reduce the full playercount timeout, but not completely at all times. I'm still debugging and researching, but it doesn't seem to make any difference with how the map has been compiled and it has occurred before and after panorama update. It does not happen to every server nor is it reproducible issue, meaning it can happen twice in a row on maps or not at all.

    SourceEngine is a mystical old beast, so it can be a pain to find if the issue can even be fixed or is it CS:GO game bug. The more we can reduce this the better, since it hurts the servers (ex. 1v1 was +20 pop, after crash it was only 5-10 for an hour). Will report back in a day or two to see how it performs. If the issue persists I'll try to debug more with the maps recompiled

Before you apply be aware that you are not able to play as a normal player on the server that you're admin on, because it can too easily lead into admin abuse (You know where players are, what they have etc) and players overall don't trust admins playing on the server as that is the nature of Rust game compared to others.
