I filled it in.
I don't play this game, but I'll most likely watch this event.

Cons:
- Little quality control in what can get selected, if all 5 nominated maps have a poor reputation, server is going to die.
- Alot harder for people who want their map to be playtested, unless an admin is online and nice enough to force the lobby to play that map.
- Generally, people want to nominate the maps they want to play, and have their own maps they dislike, which will give them a less incentive to connect.
I would like to comment and point out those cons.
1. There are a lot of maps that rarely get played on. Players like me would explore and play the map as fun. By the way, as somebody said above, the server population rarely go below 50 players.
2. No nomination day is usually used once in a while(1 every 2 months or something).
3. Like I said, there are also players that'd like to play a map that is never nominated often. If they don't like the map, they can come back later to see if the map is changed.
I like no-nomination day event only if it's used once in a while, like bi-weekly or every month during the weekends.

Dev Blog: Grotesque Guardians
The Slayer Tower is the quintessential killing grounds for PvM, but after 15 years it still has not been fully explored.
What resides atop the tower?
Changelog (21/07/2017)
Thank you all for your feedback on the content of this blog. We've sat down and discussed what has come through, and have updated the developer blog with the following changes:
- Granite dust & balls are now being offered as untradeable items.
- 'Black tourmaline shards' renamed to 'black tourmaline core'.
- 'Grotesque boots' renamed to 'guardian boots' and stats tweaked.
- Added granite gloves drop.
- Added granite ring drop.
- Added granite hammer drop.
You can see the details of each change in the updated blog below. We will continue to follow yourfeedback, and plan to open the Grotesque Guardian poll next Monday.

Slayer bosses have always proved popular with our PvM community, but because of their high Slayer levelrequirements many of our mid-levels PVM’ers have been left wanting.
Gargoyles are one of the most popular Slayer assignments to receive. They're a true milestone in theskill, and are a lucrative task to complete.
By introducing a new slayer boss available at level 75, not only do we bring a bit more excitement to a Gargoyle task, but we can provide our community with the sustainable, mid-level Slayer boss that you have requested in the past.
Sculpted from Granite and mobilized with inscribed, black tourmaline hearts, the Guardians
The Grotesque Guardiansatop Vigorra’s Fortress were a testament to the talents of humankind.
An effigy of grace and rebirth, the Guardian of Dawn keptwatch to the east. A monument to service and fortitude, the Guardian of Dusk defended the west.
As the tower fell to ruin, rising decay engulfed the fortress’s foundations, eating its way up, through stone and timber until finally, it enveloped and embittered the Guardians’ black hearts.
Legends say these Grotesque Guardians sit lifelessly, crumbling; disfigured by this corrosion. Conversely, chronicles dating back to the Zamorakian occupation of the tower describe thunderous footsteps trembling the roof on stormy nights.
For hundreds of years, the truth has remained elusive until recently, when speculationbegun to arise about a lost entrance to the Slayer Tower’s roof.
Reaching the Roof
When a player has been assigned a gargoyle slayer task, a rare, brittle key will drop from gargoyles on death. Brittle keys cannot be traded.
A Brittle Key will permanently unlock the Slayer Tower roof when it is used on the roof's door, located on the tower’s 2nd floor.
Once unlocked, and only when on a Gargoyle assignment, you will be able to face the Grotesque Guardians in place of regular gargoyles.

Unique Drops
Granite Dust
Granite dust can be applied to cannonballs in order to increase their max hit from 30 to 35. Granite dust is stackable, and so are granite-coated cannonballs. However, granite dust and cannonballs are NOT tradeable.
Creating granite-coatedcannonballs is done by using granite dust on cannonballs. Combining the two has no requirements, and can be done with any quantity. It is not possible to reverse this.
Every kill against the Grotesque Guardians will result in a granite dust drop. The quantity dropped may vary, but each kill will provide a base amount.
Black Tourmaline Core & Guardian Boots
Black tourmaline cores are rare drops from the Grotesque Guardians. They can be attached to Bandos boots to create Guardian boots.
Requiring 75 Defence to equip, guardian boots provide a strong defensive boost in combat, and offer a noteworthy counterpart to the offensive stats of primordial boots.

Granite Ring
If you're looking for a defensive ring to wear in Old School, you've not got too many options at lower levels. We'd like to offer the granite ring as a drop from Grotesque Guardians.
The granite ring offers low defensive bonuses across the board, with the exception of magic defense. It requires level 50 Defence to equip.
If you're struggling to find a ring, this one might fit the bill until you are able to get your hands on a ring of suffering.
Granite Gloves
Granite gloves offer appealing stats for a mid-level, tradeable pair of gloves.
These stats place them quite close to adamant gloves, but unlike adamantgloves they require level 50 Defence to equip and have a bit more focus on crush and defence.
Granite Hammer
Requiring level 50 Attack and Strength to equip, the granite hammer is an excellent primary weapon for low level players.
It also comes with an offensive special attack, allowing you to increase the damage of your next hit by 5, and increase its accuracy by 50%.

Please note: An attack rate of 4 is the same attack rate as a scimitar.

Poll Questions
We'll be polling the Gargoyle boss on Monday next week. The following questions will be included in the poll:
Question: Should the Grotesque Guardians, as described in the Grotesque Guardians developer blog, be added to Old School RuneScape?
Question: If the Grotesque Guardians are added, should granite dust be offered as a drop? Granite dust is useable on cannonballs to increase their max hit from 30 to 35. Granite dust and cannonballs would be untradeable. [Image]
Question: If the Grotesque Guardians are added, should Black Tourmaline Cores be offered as a drop? This core could be attached to bandos boots to create a new best-in-slot pair of defensive boots, requiring level 75 Defence to equip. [Image]
Question: If the Grotesque Guardians are added, should the granite ring be offered as a drop? This ring requires level 50 Defence to equip and offers small defensive bonuses. [Image]
Question: If the Grotesque Guardians are added, should the granite hammer be offered as a drop? This weapon requires level 50 Attack and Strength to equip and acts as a primary crush weapon. [Image]
Question: If the Grotesque Guardians are added, should the granite gloves be offered as a drop? These gloves require level 50 Defence to equip. [Image]
Question: Should marble gargoyles have their models updated as part of this update?
If the Grotesque Guardians were to pass, we would be aiming forrelease late August.
As always, we are keen to hear your thoughts on the content of this post and are happy to make changes based on your feedback!
On Thursday, Mods Ghost, Kieren,Roq and Wolf did a Let's Design stream featuring the Grotesque Guardians. Over the course of the day Mod Ghost worked on a model for a guardian, as well as answering many questions about the content.
Please note: This stream was recorded prior to today's changes being made. Some of the details mentioned in this stream may not be fully up-to-date, and the content of this blog should be used as the most up-to-date source of information.

It's here!!
July 20 2017This week's headline update is the F2P release of Castle Wars. That isn't all for F2P, as Castle Wars arrives alongside a couple of other content improvements. For members there's another new set of mining gloves, and the Desert Elite achievement diary reward becomes that little bit more useful. Plus our usual array of patches and fixes.
F2P Castle Wars
Originally released in 2004, Castle Wars is held in high regard among players old and new. We're dedicated to the continued support of the mini-game community and so we elected to poll making Castle Wars available to the F2P community. The question was met with a resounding yes, and today we're delighted to release F2P Castle Wars.
For those unfamiliar with Castle Wars, it's a capture the flag based mini-game played on a grand scale. There are two opposing castles, each representing two gods of RuneScape: Saradomin and Zamorak. The standard of your opposing team must be captured and returned to your base in order to score points. The fray will see you battle atop castle defenses, or in tunnels underground.
How to get there
Castle Wars is nestled in thesouth-western corner of Kandarin, a long way from White Wolf Mountain. Naturally the lands in-between Castle Wars and the Taverley gate are inaccessible to non-members, and inaccessible they remain. To ensure ease of access to Castle Wars we've added a portal to Clan Wars. The portal will teleport you to the Castle Wars lobby.
Upon reaching Castle Wars it might alarm you upon seeing the castle doors shut tight. This is to ensure that the more exploration-driven among you stay to fight in Castle Wars rather than go wandering off. Clicking the doors will offer a teleport back to Clan Wars.
The rewards on offer
Completion of Castle Wars in F2P will continue to offer the same number of tickets as with the members variant. The rewards offered in Lanthus' shop do differ, however. You will be able to purchase the decorative melee armours, hoods, and capes. Halos, decorative ranged sets, and decorative magic sets are not offered because of the accompanying stat increases.
Mod Stone v Mod Sween
To herald the arrival of F2P Castle Wars, Mods Stone and Sween will be competing against one another, and it's going to be on you to determine who will reign supreme! Gear up and head to Castle Wars in World 383! Swear your allegiance to either Mod Stone, Hero of Saradomin, or Mod Sween, Champion for Zamorak.
Join Mod Stone and Mod Sween in-game and on twitch.tv/runescape on Friday 21st from 3pm BST/2pm UTC/10am EST.

Other F2P content
Zamorak robes
Monks of Zamorak now drop Zamorak robes (top and bottom). This change applies to all Monks of Zamorak, andnotably it allows F2P access to the robes. You can find Monks of Zamorak in free areas in the Asgarnian chaos temple, or a single captured monk held in Varrock Palace.
The robes themselves offer the best magic bonuses in F2P. The top and bottom each arrive with a +2 Magic attack, +3 Magicdefence, and +3 Prayer bonus.
Amulet of Accuracy
The mighty Amulet of Accuracy is received upon completion of the challenging Imp Catcher quest. Prior totoday the amulet could only be received once per account. Wizard Mizgog must have just stumbled across a hoard of them, because he now offers new amulets in return for complete set of beads (black, red, white, and yellow).
Expert Mining gloves
Belona, found within the Mining Guild, will now combine your Mining gloves and Superior mining gloves in exchange for Expert mining gloves. The Expert mining gloves have the effect of both the ordinary Mining gloves and the Superior mining gloves.
Expert mining gloves require 70 Mining toequip, and are offered by Belona at a cost of 60 minerals. To obtain Expert mining gloves from scratch will require 240 unidentified minerals (the cost of all three gloves).
Elite Desert amulet
Since the introduction of pools withinPlayer-Owned-Houses we've noticed that Nardah isn't quite the attractive destination it once was. To ensure completion of the Elite Desert achievement diary remains suitably rewarding, we've now added the option to teleport to the task-only Kalphite cave. This is a new option in addition to the existing teleport to Nardah.
Patches & fixes Where we make the literally unplayable, playable. - The helm of Raedwald’s examine has been updated to display the name of the first person that discovered it. Congratulations to Pikachu Yip!.
- The empty Master Scroll book can now be traded on the Grand Exchange.
- The Summer Special offer no longer appears to be available in the Bond interface.

Build the Beach | Dyed T92 Weapons
Reyna's prepping for the release of the annual Lumbridge Crater Beach Party at the end of this month, and until then you can help her out and pick up some sand-tastic rewards.
The Ninjas have also expanded the range of dyeable items, and there's a suitably sunny selection of wonders in the patch notes.
Read on!
Build the Beach
How to Start
----
Speak to Reyna in Lumbridge Crater
----
RequirementsNone
----Reyna's tried to bring beach building into the Sixth Age with some innovative magical automation, but it's all gone a bit awry. She could really do with a hand.
Gather sand as you skill and kill around Gielinor (with a better return from Mining or Construction), then hand it in to Reyna at the crater. You can also spread out the sand at the crater itself - just watch out for the magical anomalies running wild around the area! You can spread up to 500 sand per day, but there's no cap on gathering sand in the wider world.
Speak to Reyna to claim your rewards, or do so via the Seasonal Events tab. You can unlock a new five-piece sand outfit – the perfect match for the sand cape from previous years (also available if you don't already own it). You can also earn the ring of sand, which will give you the beach body you've probably never dreamed of.
You have until 23:59 UTC on 31st July to gather up sand, although the rewards will remain available until 23:59 UTC on 2nd August.
Dyed Tier 92 Weapons & Patch Notes
The Ninjas have made it possible to apply blood, shadow, Barrows and Third Age dyes to the tier 92 weapons from the Heart of Gielinor, giving the sartorially savvy adventurer new ways to slay in style.
For full details of the updates released today, see the patch notes.
Have Fun!
The sun's shining in Gielinor, so get in game and bask in some 'Scaping glory. See you there!

Awesome! When can I play?

He have also told me what Net Neutrality is for and such stuff.
Dear Mr. Roy,
Thank you for contacting me with your thoughts on net neutrality. As your U.S. representative, I appreciate hearing from you.
There has been uproar and much misconception following the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) vote on May 18, 2017 to formally begin the process to peel back President Obama’s net neutrality regulations. The term coined in 2003, net neutrality, is the basic principle of a free and open internet. The debate surrounding net neutrality today can be traced back two years ago, to 2015 under the Obama administration, when the FCC acted to greatly expand its own power. The FCC abated the effectiveness of the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) privacy approach by voting on net neutrality rules to reclassify internet service providers (ISPs) as common carriers, thereby making them subject to Title II of the Communications Act of 1934.
Title II regulations weigh down investment in broadband and have had negative unintended consequences. Essentially, these regulations treat ISPs like “presumptive monopolists”, and according to the current FCC Chairman Ajit Pai the market failure the regulations were enacted to protect was simply non-existent. Market-oriented policies have delivered far more value to both the market as well as the consumer, fostering economic growth. Market-oriented policies, not pre-emptive regulations, are the reason our internet economy is the envy of the world. During the Clinton and Bush Administrations and prior to the last two years of the Obama Administration when the FCC imposed net neutrality rules, the internet flourished under a “light-touch” regulatory approach. In 2015, the FCC under the Obama Administration unnecessarily inserted the government into the Internet economy, thereby stifling growth.
Late last year, just ten days before the 2016 presidential election, the FCC adopted, on a party-line 3-2 vote, overly prescriptive online privacy regulations. I voted in favor of the joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval of the Federal Communication Commission’s (FCC) 2016 broadband privacy rule (H.J. Res 86/S.J. Res 34). Congress was right to rescind the Title II broadband privacy order passed by the FCC in October. The FCC’s overreach is a dangerous deviation from successful regulations and common sense practices implemented by the FTC to protect consumer privacy while still maintaining the capability of the internet to flourish and foster innovation. The internet has thrived under the technology-neutral privacy regulations developed by the FTC, the entity best equipped in implementing internet privacy regulations. I support the goal of ensuring the online privacy of consumers, and am optimistic that with the guidance of Chairman Pai, this goal will be accomplished well still maintaining a competitive internet market place.
Once again, thank you for contacting my office. I welcome input from you and all my constituents as your Representative in Congress. Should you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact my office directly. -
I just got an email from one of South Carolina Congressmen, Jeff Duncan. He replied back and told me that he supports Net Neutrality. FCC won't be ending Net Neutrality. If anyone wants to read full email response, let me know, I'll share.

Religion discussions

Hi, because of my interests of discussing religion over shoutbox, I decided to make a thread about it. I am Christian, and my denomination is Baptist. I go to church every Sunday and Wednesdays. My church is a member of SBC(Southern Baptist Convention).
The following questions to ask:
What is your religion? Does it have any denominations? Do you go to church or whatever?
Do you use to be in any religion? If so, why did you stop?
Note: If you unnecessarily post something that doesn't belong to this topic or going off-topic, I will report your post and have it hidden. (i.e saying hail satan, is not helpful to the discussions).
