i think we have to face the facts that Murder is done for

I would agree with you, but I am not willing to give up on it, because I told @Winter that I would try to help it out, and I stand by what I said, even if it seems like a lost cause. It would not be the first seemingly lost cause I fought for, I simply hope I can help in some way to not have this server meet the same or similar fate as them.

If you want people to join you have to make them feel welcomed, I suggest adding some kind of reward system or a "daily reward" make them want to get on eachday. Although that won't make sure people will stay it's a start.

I did not know that was not already on the server. That would be a pretty neat little addition, though as you said, that is not near enough to make people come on and stay.

secondly I firmly believe that laugher and entertainment is a big key in almost everything so you can't be so strixt on everysingle rule, which as I used to be a regular I know you guys aren't. To make sure that people know the no teaming rule or camping, ect. Put big bold ledders on the screen somewhere that it will stay, and to punish them simply freeze them, or ragdoll them because slaying them will not work, by the next round they will have already done it again, so what would be worse than not moving, not knowing whats going on around you waiting for the murderer/gun man to kill you? also on certain rounds you need a time limit on how long someone can stay still because there are afk's and campers. Other than all of that I believe in the murder servers will make it, so goodluck guys hope to be able to get on soon

I agree with not being lawyers when it comes to rules(because prior experience has taught me that, to an extent, the less strict the moderation team is, the more enjoyment and less rules are overall broken), but at the same time, there has to be enforcement in the sense of warnings such as "Hey, do not not do that again." Punishments should never be the first, sometimes not even the second course of action, but must be something that the moderation team is not shy to utilize should players not heed the warnings. It all must be done in moderation(kind of pun intended).

I appreciate your input myself, even though I do not really have anything to do with the server at this time. If you have anything else you would like to suggest to bring in players, I would love to see it.

  3. While 5 has a lot of things going for it(creativeness, uniqueness, etc.), I personally prefer 4, due to its relative simplicity while being detailed and expressing the person of the signature(unless Darkling disagrees with that last point, but still, it is neat).

  4. Glad to have you on Games For Life there sister! You will likely never see me in-game, or it will at the very least by a long time until you do, but if you ever want to talk, I am frequently in the Chatbox, and would love to do so!

Message me if you have any questions or need anything!

We could always do a hide and seek round.

That would be an interesting thing to do, given the lack of a CS:GO Hide and Seek Server. If people like it, that may be something worth consideration in the future(if it is possible on CS:GO, of course).

The only thing I could think of for events in TTT would be fun alterations to the gameplay/maps, perhaps adding in certain weather elements, gravity manipulations, etc.. There used to be "event days," on a map in GMOD Jailbreak(Parabellum) where a guard could choose higher speed day, snow day(limited vision due to fog and, of course, snow and snow-type objects), etc., which admittedly were kind of annoying(due to glitches), but the idea was always interesting, and we had fun nonetheless. Maybe something like that could be implemented, but as a voting system on what alteration the players would want, if any at all.

That might not be a singular event idea, but I thought I would mention it anyway.

What is your religion? Christian / Atheist (I drift in and out of both so guess agnostic)

Does it have any denominations? Baptist

Do you go to church or whatever? Sometimes, but not consistently

Do you use to be in any religion? If so, why did you stop?

Well, as I said, I've drifted in and out of atheism and Christianity.

I am currently being raised in a christian home, but am not pressured into being christian.

I always kinda doubt there being a god and if there is, if I'm devoting to the right one.

I get bombarded with tons and tons of "miracles" and scientific proof.

    So I really don't know.

If you would like, I could direct you to some resources that may help with doubts and such(apologetics websites). Message me or add me on Steam if you want me to give you the links.

Another question to prevent this thread dying: for those people involved in religion, how often do you read the Bible?

I read daily. I'm on 111 of 150 Psalms as it's called Psalms a day.

People with no religion can answer this question too, and to satanist: there is a Satan Bible. I remember being shown by my non-religious friend a few years ago, I'd recommend looking them up.

People can still answer what I posted in OP.

I need to start reading the Bible more again(perhaps I will do the Psalm a day thing), but for a while I did as much reading as I could, getting through the New Testament (apart from Revelation) in about 2 or more weeks I think(due to being incredibly busy). I also got through Genesis and Exodus, and am technically working on Numbers.

Alongside the Bible, I have been reading the Book of Concord, the Confessions of the Lutheran Church, which are basically a summary and exposition of the Scriptures. Even though you are Baptist, I think you may find it interesting. I would recommend the Small and Large Catechism(not Catholic) first if you do end up checking it out.

Message me if you need the link(it should show up in a Google search). The same extends to everyone else!

The game mode itself is good, I love all the additions to it but I'm not exactly sure either why people left, I mean it's a fun game mode unlike Hide and Seek which I find boring. Maybe the population will come back in a few days or so like what happened to GFL Zombie Survival

Perhaps so. Thank you for your replies, I am simply trying to figure this out to help the server get back on its feet, and I cannot find the reason for it dying, and thus si not know how to progress save for organizing times for willing members to hop on and play.

  9. 2 minutes ago, MegaUpload said:

It's only population but other than that server is good it used to have 10 players on everyday, I usually go to the minecraft one

Fair enough. I do not suppose you have any idea as to why the server ended up dying out, would you? All I have been able to guess at is possibly the lack of meaningful/exciting updates, but I am clueless about the history of the Murder Server and its former playerbase.

  10. 3 minutes ago, MegaUpload said:

I used to be on in Murder too but as time went on, I got bored, I mean it's a fun game but if there's more people on, I would join GFL Murder

Out of curiosity, apart from the lack of population, was there any other reason you got bored, and anything that, if it was to be done with the server, would make you interested enough to hop on and possibly play more?

  11. Welcome to the forums, @nat! It is great to have you!

Unfortunately, you will not see me in-game for a while, as I do not have any computer other than a Chromebook that is operational and that could actually play any games. However, I am usually on the forums in the Chatbox, so feel free to go there and talk with me and the others! The more the merrier, I say!

May God guide you and keep you safe, and may you have a blessed night or day, depending on what time it is for you!

  12. I am an LCMS Lutheran with Baptist roots, meeting only on Sundays for a pre-worship "Sunday School,"(currently a Bible study of 2 Timothy) and the worship service. There is no Church on Wednesdays for us.

    Two, sadly.

Our playerbase has mostly gone. We have only our admins populating at the moment, and that is really all we do. I regret that I have been busy lately- Deathrun has taken a lot of my attention, as well as I admit to having my own interest in Murder wane a little.

I have been talking with @Bae regarding events for Murder, and I have started advertising Murder as not requiring CS:S. I will look into adding more maps but honestly I don't really know where else I can go with this. If you all have any suggestions I'd be more than happy to hear them, considering something needs to be done, and soon.

If I can find the time, I will see what else I can find and suggest that may be helpful. No promises though.

On that note, is there a change log and an activity log anywhere for the Murder servers that you can send me the link for, @Winter? If so, that might help.

  14. I found out the issue. I use SwiftKey Keyboard, which apparently is incapable of properly handling the deletion of those mentions. I tried the stock keyboard and it worked fine. I apologize for wasting your time with basically a non-issue for most, if not all users but me.

  15. 6 minutes ago, denros said:

what browser are you using? Seems its problem with your phone. Safari works fine. Try another browser or phone.

Running Chrome on Android, and unfortunately I am not able to check another browser at this time, but I will get back to you on that when I can.

  16. 43 minutes ago, denros said:

you have to tap delete twice, it works perfectly fine for me.

The problem is that I am not able to do so, since once I hit delete, whether with it highlighted or just doing one letter at a time, it cancels my keyboard, forcing me to start again. If that is just an issue on my end, then fair enough. Thank you for your time regardless.

  17. 1 hour ago, Syntax said:

Just refresh the page and you will be able to tag more than one person, another easy fix is to do the [] and inside you do member="name" for the mobile issue I think @denros will deal with it easily

Good to know that there is a workaround for tagging people, but it would still be nice to not have to use a workaround. Also, refreshing does nothing, at least for me(I tried mentioning in a new topic and comment sections).

  18. Hello again,

As I was going to reply to a status update, I encountered an odd glitch that renders a user stuck with an @ mention, even if the user wants to remove it. The screen shots below show what happens when you try to do a normal deletion. I also tried highlighting the whole thing and deleting it, to no avail.

I did find one workaround as I was typing this, where if you highlight then cut, you can remove the mention, but that is the only method. Because of this, I think the issue is with the system in place for making the mentions actually bind itself to the user that it is trying to alert. Perhaps it is locking any manipulation of it because it wants to remain complete, and the script simply is incompatible with the mobile website in terms of manipulation post-binding.

Another issue I found that is worth noting, is that you cannot do an @ mention at all on mobile devices in the desktop site, apart from the Chatbox.

My apologies if this post is kind of low quality, it is fairly late and I am typing this on my phone the best I can.

    Have a blessed one!

  19. I am honestly surprised to hear that GFL has a dead Murder server, given how fun the gamemode is from the few times I played it.

I do not really have anything constructive to add based off of personal experience, but I am curious about something. You said that it has been stone dead for a week now, @Dead_Soul, so I am wondering: When did the activity on the server originally die down, and what occurred that might have led to the decline? I am assuming the server was fairly popular at one point, so I am curious about when it went downhill. If you find the root of why there are no players other than those that you mentioned, then that makes it a lot easier, albeit possibly more time-consuming at one time, to remedy the problem(s).

Another recommendation of mine is to try to find those who once populated the server actively(even those who were not as active), and ask them what happened to make them not want to come onto the server anymore. Personal communication can yield fascinating and helpful insights into such problems.

Those are just my two cents, I apologize if I was not very helpful.

  20. While I was not home alone, I was alone outside on my porch, while my Dad was inside asleep(I think).

It was nighttime, and I was just relaxing in the cool embrace of the night. I looked to my left, and I noticed two red dots that looked like they were eyes(due to their spacing). I decided to ignore it, but then another pair ended up appearing. What made it worse was that both were in the treeline, as though they were stalking me. I was unnerved enough that I decided to go back inside.

More incidents while actually being home alone involved things falling over and off of things for no reason, sometimes making loud boom noises. Always fun.

Otherwise, I cannot say I have had too many scary experiences while alone at my house.

There is a button for it and it is hard to see. Here is a photo with the button outlined

    -snip-

Ah, thank you for telling me about that. I had to zoom in just to see the button in question. I guess this is more of a suggestion thread then to make the button more pronounced(not sure if it needs moving or not).

  22. Hello everyone,

I have noticed this for a while, but I figured it was simply that I never went to a profile of someone who changed their name while I was on mobile. However, when I noticed someone say that this particular user, Rosmarinus, has changed his name many times, I decided to once more check it out.

The issue in question is that on the mobile website, there is an absence of the "view changes," button that is on the proper website, making one unable to view said changes to a user's name throughout time, as seen in the screenshot attached to this post. I also tried tapping the header for it, to no avail.

Hopefully that has been helpful, and may you have a blessed one!

Oh and I can't put up a poll so another issue just found haha.

I randomly just figured out how to make a poll, actually. You have to click the Content button above the thread title field, and then you have the option to make a poll. I have not tried it, but I wanted to let you know that it is there.

    Have a blessed one!
