Yep
Many good times were had on there, such a loss to see it go.
Hello @MASTAH, don't think I met you before.

Noticed DarkRP Purge is gone; guess it finally died then?

Thanks guys; what has changed in the time between now and then?

Hello everyone, it is I...the Quint...or Quint, to keep it simple. I don't know how long it's been, but it has been a loooooooong time. I see that a lot of new people have joined, and some familiar faces on here. It's nice to see all of you on here, been too long.
What's new, what has changed for everyone and how have you changed as well? Over on this end, the past year is one I don't suggest for anyone. The highlight, for lack of a better word, of that year was around May, my Mother went into an ordinary mamogram and got a call-back. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to go undergo surgery. It's been a long road to recovery, but hopefully she'll be okay. I hope you guys are all okay and doing alright. Am thinking of going back on Steam and GMod more often now; balancing out things with life's difficulties with friends is always helpful, and cathartic.

Wasn't it already?

Last Comment; I win.

My mind went to Dunkirk, the way this used "visual storytelling" and how Christopher Nolan implemented that in the other film. The response spoke for itself. Critical darling and definitely a massive hit but his most faithful were left unsure what they just watched. I kinda feel bad knowing that.

I watched it last night. Pretty mind blowing if slightly long winded and fascinating eye candy to engage your mind, but possibly leave others feeling unsure what they just watched. I think the picture below describes accurately how it'd be received today if it was released now; impressive but failed execution. That speaks more for how people see the past though. What did everyone else think?

I uploaded it but it says Enter Beta Code to unlock private betas; is there something I'm missing?

You were the best, Nap. Thanks for everything.

Hi; doesn't mater if you're gay or not. Welcome to GFL.

Welcome to GFL; don't trust Koss on TTT. Enjoy your time here.

hmm, I recommend going for an AMD GPU they are cheaper and run pretty good. You can go for a 650w power supply too. But whats ur budget?
I'm back too sadly. 😂
Good seeing you again, Auggie.
Rain, I'm not sure I can disclose but I will check around to see what other options there are.

Thanks.

I think I talked to 47 and Deadfruit on TTT earlier.

Steven Spielberg's War Of The Worlds is the Patron Saint (for me) of underrated movies. The son surviving is a cop-out but other than that, it's probably the best modern day alien invasion film in that it takes the opposite approach that Independence Day took; instead of bringing people together, it's every man for himself and takes a very cynical look at human nature. The suspense is still pretty palpable, the vfx hold up well and the performances are across the board are pretty great (yes, including Dakota Fanning). Not perfect by any means, but a still very tense, bleak and genuinely disturbing ride.

Since we're coming back, I thought I'd go back and name my top five favorite movies of the year (I didn't see many). In turn, what is everyone else's?
5.) Ant-Man and the Wasp: I love the first one and originally I didn't like this one much. I gave it a second chance, and was fully entertained despite some wonky editing here and there.
4.) Overlord: You wouldn't think a movie about World War II paratroopers versus Nazi mutants would be all that interesting, but as a modern day Grindhouse B-Movie combining horror and history, it was surprisingly entertaining and well made. It was born to be a Cult film, and is one as far as I'm concerned. That makes it better.
3.) Avengers: Infinity War: The ending still leaves me depressed and I think a big factor in this is how invested you are in the MCU up until this point. I'm pretty well invested.
2.) Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse: The best Spider-Man movie ever made. Fast, funny and perfect, a movie for every Spider-Man fan of every generation. Gorgeous animation, great voice acting and Stan Lee's best cameo. RIP Stan; thank you for everything!
1.) Black Panther: The Black Panther party was created in my hometown, and I understand why this is such a big deal. I don't think it will win Best Picture at the Oscars but this is still an important movie for people to see. I believe movies should be shared for everyone, so this is an important step in ensuring that.
