Even though I'm away, I do sometimes look at the forums. I'm trying to get on daily, but that'll change in the coming week, as there's a lot of family plans through the 22nd - 29th of August.

Fierce thunderstorm in my area. Power has been wonky, wouldn't be surprised if it went out.

Happy Canada Day! Time to chug maple syrup and have a good poutine

I will be gone for this week, and a portion of next week, final exams are approaching and I'm trying to study as much as I can. I don't know how much I'll be on this week, but chances are not much. I'll see you all next Thursday.

I'll be taking about a one or two day leave as I don't have a quiet, or proper place for my laptop with my new computer now set up.. And as I am downloading my entire steam library (and more), I wont have the a stable connection to play on servers.

Just a heads up for the Month of August and this weekend, I won't be on much as the local fair has come into town, and I've been out of the house getting parts for my new computer. Starting on August 21st to the 29th I will be away as I am seeing family.

Did someone say shitpost?
Through the listener's point of view, the American expression of musical genius simply titled "Sweatshirt", created by the legendary artist Jacob Sartorius, may simply appear to be a formulaic love song. However, in order to truly grasp the depth of the lyrics the poet Sartorius has crafted together meticulously, we must delve into the singer's, nay, the prophet's mind.
The first line of the song, "Chillin' with a hair tie," refers to Sartorius' perceived 'love interest'. One can take the hair tie to mean that she is strangling her own expression and emotions, with her hair representing expression and the tie representing a chokehold.
'No makeup with some sweatpants on' refers to the love interest's outward appearance, but it also holds telltale signs of her inward strife. She has no time to bother with how she looks, not necessarily because she does not care but because she must devote all her attention to the inner torment she faces every moment. "You can think about me all night long," refers to how she longs for a savior, though she does not know Sartorius is the savior she needs yet. Or perhaps it has a darker meaning, as I will discuss below.
The next verse goes as follows, "But I think you need something to think of me / Something that will keep you warm / And show me that we can be more than just this / So baby, if you are not ready for my kiss."
While at face value this can be taken to mean a caring boy showing concern for his love, it is quite a bit deeper. Perhaps Sartorius himself is the abuser that is causing her pain, and he continually reminds her that she and him are meant for each other, while simultaneously feigning a respect for her boundaries in order to make her trust him more.
"Then you can wear my sweatshirt And you can tell your friends We'll be together 'til the end Girl, you can wear my sweatshirt 'Cause you're the only one I hold And I don't want you to be cold So, baby, wear my..."
The second verse, shown above, is very similar to the last. Jacob's "Sweatshirt" is a sentimental item he gives to her to ensure she continues to believe she needs him. "Tell your friends we'll be together til the end" is yet another attempt to subtly reaffirm that this girl stays with him no matter what.
"When you go to sleep at night, When you wake up in the morning And when you walk the halls See, girl, you know you wanna flaunt it"
This verse represents the abused girl coming to truly believe that Sartorius is a caring boy. The first three lines refer to how he has become the entire center of her life. The last line refers to her belief that she is in a stable and healthy relationship, when in fact she is the victim of severe emotional abuse.
The rest of the song repeats, but the implications are clear; Sartorius' "Sweatshirt" is a meticulously crafted song that tells the story of an abuser and his victim. Be reminded that I am not accusing the great Jacob of the abuse- his name is merely a stand-in for the abusive narrator whom he sings for.
Sweatshirt tells of a manipulative boy taking advantage of a girl who is dealing with severe problems in her life to facilitate his own romantic lust. -
Sorry your status update made me cringe because I saw this on your profile
"Alienware™ 460 Watt Multi-GPU Approved Power Supply"
Mind explaining why you have this power supply?
then I did a second take and saw this
"NVIDIA Geforce 1070 Founder's Edition"
Mind explaining why you over payed for a GPU that is cooled by a blower cooler.

This flash blizzard is going 66 km/hr (41 mph) and has either closed, or prevented traffic on almost every highway. But my school division is still probably gonna be open tomorrow... The RCMP even advises that going outside is a bad idea.
