Instead of accepting only members into the team with artistic skills: Accept members with other skills such as in writing, communication, advertising and social media, or experience or knowledge of businesses. Broadened meaning not being too specific in art or software, or the current skill set they are looking for.
I am intending to make this a very small suggestion, and not something fancy like train them and give them a scholarship towards their MBA degree. The Creative Team to me looks like (not saying this is verbatim) "We're the creative team and we're looking for skills in this art stuff; we'll try to satisfy artistic work upon request" (reactive) and I am hoping it would become more like (not verbatim) "We're the Marketing team and our mission is to advertise for GFL. We're currently facilitating our Youtube channels to advertise GFL; we're working on game guides to draw new members into GFL; we have a dozen threads with GFL propaganda and pictures of our events, and we'll take anyone on our team who is interested in promoting GFL and has any of these skills..." (proactive)
edit:
I think the "problem" with the 2 members is that the skills they are looking are very specific for art stuff. I think accepting more or being open to more, and concentrating on the mission, will help the team grow and put their work towards something more proactive for the community rather than just having a team of people who can use illustrator or edit a video.

Oh, darn! I thought I came up with a new idea. Do you guys like the idea, or what should change about it? I don't understand why GFL needs to have a shop in order to have a Marketing Team.

I think we should revamp the Creative Team into something more proactive and driven by an application, and in alignment with our advertising goals. The Marketing Team is a revamp of the Creative Team where they can continue doing artwork, videos, and other media, but with a broadened skill set and greater goal to promote our community.
Is a name change necessary for this idea? I don't think so, but I do think the current name creates an unwanted bias and it is limiting us.

The voice channel did get a little busy today

I'm definitely not comfortable with other languages although I try. I'd say I can probably get around a little bit with Spanish... no better than a little kid.

What does it mean to be successful (ie. have a good wage, awesome job, education)? Where do you draw the line or what do you look for? We were discussing this in Discord, and I think it would make an exciting thread.

None of you guys are like Dan, and know how to clean your room, right?
It usually involves something like moving things around. There are two main ways to get things done: i) you compress the clutter into some organized section, or ii) you throw some of it away; otherwise: You're just shifting the mess around over and over again.

Moving things around is the right idea. It's the "right first step," but the key to my point is taking the "right second step" too. You've got to compress or throw away something in order for your room to begin looking clean.
Now: This isn't so much of a "compress" and "throw away" situation, but going back to my "right second step": We've seen it many times, that someone doing well in their old position is promoted to a better position. I think this is right, and it's the right thing to do. Great first step! What I've also seen... too many times... is the person absorbing the new role and their old. What usually ends up happening is their effective position is so burdened by both responsibilities, that they become discouraged, overworked, and they step down leaving gaps in both positions and no clear candidate to fill in their responsibilities. They can also just roll with it: One role they perform very well in and the other falls apart, or the converse roles. People become upset or consider them bad even though I do not consider it their fault. It has happened to us almost every time, and so take caution despite this wonderful moment.
Make sure you fill in their shoes. Even if the next person isn't the best... you don't need to find a perfect candidate, but just one that is good enough. Tone them for the role or ease them into it- it doesn't have to be "all or nothing."
Congratulations, team. Good luck!

That's incredible. It's neat to watch these soft looking companies be the sharks in their industry.

What do you mean by giving it a new start? Are you meaning introduce new maps or something? These are all things I hear in talk whenever someone wants to do something, but there's no content to it.
You could be the person to do it... though... Don't think of big ideas. Work on the little stuff. One thing I have noticed from past fallen servers is that old maps were well supported for larger and active communities, and as the people in those modes began to lose interest, then it became difficult to play those same maps with a smaller group. I would definitely come up with a list of maps, items or modes, or anything relevant to population, and keep it small- post it up. Make it a good game for 2 or 3 people to enjoy for now, and then work out the details later should the community grow.
I don't know much about Murder although I do recall hopping on once. I think it would be great to see a few pictures or videos. If you don't make one, then maybe request one from the Creative Team? Try not to rely on them and produce some stuff to or provide them pictures and video pieces. If you really want this to come back, then you'll have to put some work into it.

I remember a topic like this long ago and it received a lot of positive feedback. Unfortunately: The weight was against it as it requires a lot of work. I think it was mentioned, that there are already existing apps, such as Tapatalk, which are far more convenient and good enough. I can't find that thread.
I think this is another situation of: "If you want something done (right), then do it yourself" sort of deal. I've seen a lot of friends make apps as a hobby, and so it wouldn't surprise me if someone here had some experience in that field; otherwise: I think the current staff is a little bit scattered on directions and ideas, and a project like this could be a big drain.

I don't have a smartphone, and so I don't know if Pidgin might be something of interest to you... might only be for the computer. I remember using this for old school messengers like AIM and MSN, and I think they've updated it to include other things although I haven't moved on from ancient technology. I'd like to note that they have plugins in case its more raw/stripped version doesn't support what you're looking for.

I'm here for you. I always enjoy talking with you, and I think you're a fantastic person.
This is a heartbreaking situation. My condolences.

This name was coined by someone I use to help while I was a volunteer coach for the special olympics.
I was chit-chatting with some girl when the special olympian passed by and said
"HIIII JOOOOOOSSSSHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYY WWWWWAAAAAAASSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHY!!!!!!!1!"
The person I was talking to loved it, and so that became my name. Some people in real life literally call me Joshy now. Anyhow: I wasn't quite using this online until someone heard my voice over the microphone and said something along the lines of "Hey, kid. Isn't it your bed time?" I screwed around and changed my name to the most childish thing I could think of... and with my typical (not very masculine and pathetic voice) I told them "My mom said I could stay up late today." We all had a good time. People were legit talking to me like I was a legit little kid.

LELZ! I wonder would make him think that??! Gee... golly... he must be really silly and cannot grasp simple things.

Clearly, Pigeon was the one to start cursing and insulting everyone before you corrected the situation. Thanks for improving our community, Roxie.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Let these kids be the winners they are. They are better than both of us and all of us
. Just say: "Okay. You win. You're right; I'm wrong. I'm a loser." I do it all the time, and it makes their day.
Have a great vacation. If you really enjoy being here, and it sounds to me like you have quite a few buddies here, then I hope you may give us another chance. This is a big community and people will have their differences... don't let one or two people ruin it for you.

We're having exams at our university and there's a popular "memes page." Someone posted this:

Did he die? I thought they were able to recover him.

Cute.

I've got my final exams coming up, moving again, and I'm worried about work. It has been on a little bit of the stressful side this week, but I had wonderful breakfast and lunch, a two hour nap, and I was feeling better and went to the gym. I'll be seeing my family next week and will be around for 3 weeks.
My work might be requiring me to do a gnarly background check. This is very stressful.

I see you have several bans for bad karma, and so I suggest Bad Karma.
I didn't know you were a "coder" although I see it in your member title. I think a fun and simple one could be something like While Zero (much like while(0) it never happens).
You could have a play on your name like Marty , which I obviously opted for with my name. Do you speak any other languages or what are your hobbies?

I personally enjoyed the last one. The story sounds dumb from what I am picking up in the trailer, but I am pretty sure I'll still see it and I think the little things in the movie or the excitement might be able to compensate for it.

I'm sorry for your loss. Death always takes its toll even if I am more simply acquainted with someone rather than a family member of a good friend
I like the pop-collar stuff going on! I like doing that too. I always joke with friends, that "You haven't been cool until you've been pop-collar cool."

It fell slightly below 70 °F (~ 21.1 °C), and so I threw on two shirts, a sweater, a thick jacket and a scarf just to be on the safe side.

Me not being disgusted at Dan's room or his behavior; I also made my bed.

Feel free to make fun of me. Leave the others alone.
