Click bait, but I was still thinking of McDonald's. It has been so long since I have gone, and I don't think there is anything I'd eat there.

How long have you been growing it?
The last complete cut was March 2015 although I had the back part cut to shoulder length in May 2016 followed by a trim about two weeks ago.

Today was the last session before they close this roller rink. It was a lot of fun.

Wow, this is becoming intense. I'm such an outcast!
I have to confess I've never understood "antioxidants." I feel like it's a word fabricated for marketing and sales. Have you noticed any benefits from eating the way you do or focusing on these groups? I also never understood Gatorade. Why not just drink water, lol?

Wait....didn't you recommend me a burger place to visit? How would you know those burgers are good?

I use to eat meat, and especially during my first visit to San Diego. I think I recommended Hodad's, and I'd be really surprise if I left out the Korean BBQ or anything on Convoy over there... Interestingly: I'm back in San Diego, but not for very long. I began phasing out a lot of foods at the beginning of 2015 when I returned from Washington, DC, and this has slowly evolved and was shaken up while I was in Europe.
I just found that thread: https://gflclan.com/forums/topic/3016-any-good-places-to-visit-in-san-diego/?do=findComment&comment=16090. Wow! I made a lot of great recommendations
Those pictures are super old!

I think this one is another fun topic, and I've seen it become a hot topic in other communities. Are you a vegetarian or vegan, and/or what do you think of it or of the other nutritional trends?

It's not too unusual in California. A family member and close friends are vegetarians, and I was already not eating a lot of meat; so: The commitment wasn't difficult for me to become a vegetarian too, but I still eat a lot of dishes with eggs. I strongly avoid obviously sources of added sugars (no candy, no syrup, salad dressings, etc.)
I noticed people were very mystified by it while I was visiting Texas although there were a lot of great vegetarian options in my area and the food was delicious. Some people feel like vegetarians are pretty imposing if they eat with them in groups- they seem like they make others "guilty" or "evil" for eating meat, and I have even seen them post these gnarly videos on their social media or show it on their phone just before everyone is about to eat. I think that's super rude and I can totally respect others eating whatever they want. I don't impose; they don't impose, and we're all happy.
I see a lot of confusion between vegetarians and vegans, and another common one is pescatarian. Vegetarian is typically no meat; vegans are no animal products (and some are so firm on this, that they include these rules beyond their meals such as animal tested products); and pescatarians are like a soft-vegetarian where they allow fish in their diet, and some are okay with a little bit of chicken from time to time. I think of our nutrition as a very large scale where you can be between the extremes don't have to strictly follow their rules if it's not your cup of tea. Do whatever works for you or you enjoy, and if that's eating extra bacon on everything and BBQ for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and followed by a bacon wrapped sugary dessert, then that's okay by me.

Hi,
It looks to me school has started again for many of us, and so the talks about our goals or aspirations is sparking up more frequently while conversing with family and friends. Some of us are already done with school or have committed to an occupation without it although school is what sparked my thoughts on this, and so I am wondering: What is your occupation (job), or what are you aspiring to become?
No need to be detailed if you don't want to be, and I think some of the answers might surprise us or connect us through commonalities. Maybe a bunch of us are simply "professional students" or leeching as much as we can from our sources, or maybe we really do want to be video game programmers or testers
. I've met a few of those, and it was very interesting to hear about their work! Maybe your answer might inspire someone else too, give them some insight, or you some of you can connect and help each other each other. The video game testers I met told me their work requires them to try all sorts of games and to really try to exploit it... they could be people who are more interested in games like Skryim and Counter-Strike, but they'll have to play some rainbow unicorn game designed for 7 year old kids, and they'll try to cross over boundaries within the game for many hours and several days, etc. Maybe it's not that fun after all?

I think trains are pretty cool. We don't have too much of a system in the western coast of the United States although there are trains, or at least I'm making this statement as a consumer and comparing it to the parts of Europe I visited.
I remember, after 9/11, my mom became very afraid of airplanes and we needed to get to Nebraska from California. It took us 25 hours by train. I didn't like trains very much at *that time*, but the 4 ~ 5 hours to get to Edinburgh from London, or to Salisbury to see Stonehenge... a couple of hours to Cambridge, Brighton, Eurostar to Paris, or from Paris to Versailles! It's quite an incredible experience compared to the train rides I've been on in the US.
Shit post or not: I like trains.

I saw someone taking pictures with their motorcycle a couple of weeks ago, and I thought I could do it better
I honestly took another picture with someone's name on it, and I'll be damned: I spelled their name incorrectly. It's because I was remembering a street name instead.

Sorry, @Winters!

I think you would really enjoy physics. Some people have told me their interest in the expanding universe is to discover or understand our origin better. They described it to me like reverse engineering or reconstructing the universe.
Is it necessary for God to have a beginning? Maybe God does indeed have a beginning, but their definition of beginning is different from ours much like the difference between what we consider bounded/enclosed compared to entities in higher dimensions.

@Joshy it's a hypothesis because it hasn't been fully proven, but it does make sense and it's pretty logical, I mean unless you have a better one well...
Let's keep this on topic please, if you want to talk about it let's do it in discord or somewhere else, just not here because this is about god =)
I wouldn't normally respond except I'm becoming frustrated with the second or third time you have accused me of being off topic and needing to take this to Discord or Private Message as if I were the one doing something off (example). I'll discuss the topic as I wish within the bounds of the rules; I also don't use Discord and will not be discussing anything with anyone in private. You're the one who brought up the total universe energy and used it - to my understanding - as a tool against religion, and so I don't think I'm being too unreasonable in asking why that makes something of all time a useless entity.
It doesn't matter to me if you don't want to answer or don't have an answer. This isn't an easy topic, and that was my goal in my statements or explanations, queries, and perspective on all of this.
P.S. Don't tell me what to do.

I think that's very interesting.
edit:
I should ask again because I am personally lost by your answers: Why does this make something, which has been around for all of time, useless?

the total amount of energy of the universe is 0
Is it? E. Hubble, "A relation between distance and radial velocity among extra-galactic nebulae", PNAS, Vol. 15(3), pp. 168-173 (1929). DOI: 10.1073/pnas.15.3.168
Let us stipulate it is zero, then couldn't the existence of people or the universe as we know it be the counterpart, or couldn't a counterpart exist?

Hey Ben,
As I mentioned before, the result of that equation means that God is a useless entity that doesn't serve a purpose, means it's there because it is, was, and there's no reason for it to exist nor a reason for it to die, it means it's a virtual entity that has the potential of existing but doesn't exist, it's a bit complex.
Why does something existing for all of infinity have to be useless or serve no purpose? How would you explain conservation of energy or mass?

Well, before I refer to the location as an approximation, I believe there is a way to hide yourself from the stats. I remember doing it for other stat plugins such as gameme (/gameme_hideranking) and so maybe there's something under the HLStatsX menu, which can be opened by hlx_menu according to the plugin I saw on AlliedModders. I'm personally not willing to go on neither look through the plugin to confirm this, but I would be really surprised if there was no equivalent available. The common trade-off for this is, that it removes you from the stats completely: so: If you like having a rank or keeping track of your stats, then you will likely have to evaluate which one is more valuable to you.
edit:
I lied. See if /hlx_hideranking is enabled.

It's a confusing topic for me as well. I think my perspective surprises people because I am very interested in academia and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), but if I were to describe my perspective, then some concepts from Flatland may help. I'll admit it's difficult for me to put into words and I am constantly changing my mind on parts of it, but i'll try my best and I apologize for any confusions or offensive perspectives.
I grew up in a family of very mixed in religion, and my parents chose not to (intentionally) swing my siblings and I towards any direction. I mostly grew up feeling like there was no such thing as God; however, and to my own surprise too: Science has sparked and reinforced my belief of some deity, and so I am swimming deep into the gray of agnostic beliefs.
I constantly see the "battle" of science versus religion, and I feel both truthfully has some aspect of faith. Those who argue against religion often claim science can be proven, but I often see a pitfall when we begin using axioms. Everything proven has some set of axioms or fundamental knowledge we assume or stipulate to be true, and when you begin looking at studies to their fundamentals, then we begin to discuss quantum mechanics. This isn't just some movie talk or voodoo magic you'll see in Interestellar, but we truthfully see what we call "quantum effects" in science, and even in fields such as electrical engineering where transistors have become so small, that our classical understanding is no longer valid. Some of the more well-known effects are things like electrons or photons being in multiple places simultaneously, and exhibiting a particle and wave duality (reference). Electrons and photons can "tunnel" (it's like walking through a wall or a teleport) and we use it in instruments such as Scanning Tunneling Microscopes (STM), but this is like saying it's possible to put our hand on the table and fall right through it (there is no 0% or 100% that it would or wouldn't). Did you know we're mostly made up of nothing? We're made up of many atoms, and the electrons are far from the nucleus with finite gaps or barriers (reference). You can try some basic experiments on your own at home such as the famous Double-slit Experiment. Now, you can certainly say "Seeing the results of these experiments PROVE these concepts to be true," but how can we deny this victory to people who say "Our existence is the result of God and PROVES these concepts (in the Bible) to be true." Both require faith, and there are just so many things that make you wonder such as everyday life where ±1 or 2 degrees is a fever or hypothermia, and the person can die; also the "perfect" distance between the sun and the earth, and we're composed of elements coming from stars although reading Steven Hawking's Brief History of Time might make you wonder if it was statistically inevitable, and maybe we could only ask these questions because of our own existence.
Now, things like evolution have strong evidence suggesting it to be true, and I firmly believe in evolution despite its clash with religious literature such as The Bible; however: I personally look at this literature as a set of metaphors or stories with a message, and not all the stories as a piece of history. I am most familiar with Christianity and will use examples with the stories I know better. So: The world began with Adam and Eve instead of some apes evolving into humans, right? Why does evolution have to invalidate that story or piece of history? The literature has also evolved over many versions and it's like a large game of telephone to me. Why can't we say, that God created man in his own image, but man is not perfect like God... man is a like a plant and has to grow into the beautiful and perfect image of God (PC: Gender pronouns and deity used for discussion and are not an assumption.) Let there be light? How do we know the big bang wasn't this event stimulated by God? Why would God allow wars and murders? Haven't you read the story of Job? It could be a test of faith, or maybe there was a God, and now we're truly on our own.
Referring back to my Flatland reference: The story stipulates a world where geometric figures. Imagine two triangles looking at each other:

We're 3D objects walking around, and if we look at something, then we can only see things in 2D. Yes: We often have two eyes and can see depth, but we cannot see all around someone simultaneously. The triangles looking at each other can only scale down and see things in 1D (a line).
What if a triangle is stuck in its home and the door is blocked off by a fire?

The triangle looks forward, behind, up, down, and he realizes he's trapped. There's no way out according to the triangle, but a higher dimension being such as you and I can pull him out from the sides (3D).
So I'm in my room right now and I look up, down, left, right, forward, and behind, and I'm trapped. I cannot possibly imagine an entity pulling me out through a higher dimension, and so just because I haven't seen it doesn't invalidate its truth should it exist. Maybe there is a deity watching and I cannot see it or imagine it.
What's going on right now? Is there some deity right now, or which stories are true? I don't know, and that's why I'm agnostic. I'm very hesitant and believe any choices requires a certain degree of faith and conditioning. Again: What if there was a God and now we're on our own? What if the deity or deities in other literature are true, or they are all true or all the same? I don't know. My point is this: Science requires faith too, and it's difficult for me to imagine higher dimensions I believe would help validate some of these axioms or fundamentals we rely on.
