  1. I recommend a F2P "Mining Guild Raid" in Fally.  It's a very classic event, and you'll be able to attract both F2P and P2P players in a very public and mostly-accessible area of the game.  Even if people don't like mining...  people love to chill in Fally and chit-chat; also: A small group could ring-around some of the rocks, and if the event is large enough, then you can congo between all the rocks advertising GFL.  Lastly, the drop party room is nearby, and this could be used to attract attention.

Depending on the day and time...  I may be willing to join you for such an event.  My schedule is a mess this month though.

I don't get why people still make threads for something that could have been a status *shrug*

That's what Member Activity is for; there's no post count anyways.  Have a good week with your dad.  I cannot wait to see my family again.

  3. Ahhhh Robert Goddard got a mention ::x:!  So cool.

I'm dabbling on ideas...  I'm sure several of you are studying engineering, and one of the key "take away" is understanding trade-offs.  They want to reduce the pressure so that it's a vacuum, but to continuously move through that medium...  it seems to me it would violate a conservation rule (you can look at Bernoulli's equation is my idea).  Someone could suggest using a giant magnet instead of pressure (Force per Area) and the Coloumbic charges could be the Force to push the train, but I would imagine the amount of energy needed to do that would not only be expensive, but it would likely cause a dangerous amount of radiation...  they do very similar things inside of synchrotrons and particle accelerators, but maybe these are more approaching the speed of light and so these lighter speeds might be safer.

The other thing to consider is to stipulate, that they are successful:  That's really fast!  I wonder how many G's that'll place on a person.  If I'm recalling from astronauts...  not that I would know any, right?...  I think most of them pass out around 8 or 9 G after training, and a human body can only make it up to 12 G?  I'm remembering some emergency thing where it reaches 14 G for a brief second and I believe they might be able to survive that, but it's literally a last resort better than death (cannot remember if this was on the ISS my memory is faded).  I have no idea how I'm familiar with this stuff because I'm just a Starbucks guy.

its a fucking kids book dawg

Jesus... Calm down.   It's not like the suggestion is to discuss politics into a kids book.  This adventurous story infers it with an underlying goal of undoing social conditioning that begins at an early age.  There are changes in two main ways: 1) The change from a child growing into a skilled adult, and of course the other change 2) is political (not explicitly said so although I spelled it out above).  The many professors I have come across in my areas and to the universities I have visited are very liberal, and I would imagine this story would positively attract their attention given the movements; it goes beyond the assignment with minimal effort.  This is how you nail your coursework.  Lets stipulate that the OP isn't a liberal, then who cares?  Is OP grading their own work?  No.  Just do whatever it takes to get an A.

  5. Can it be political ie.  "Cultural change"?  If it were me, then I would do one with a girl starting off with dolls and dresses, then playing with toys like race cars, later video games, then using a computer, then programming, repairing a computer ie. taking it apart or upgrading parts, then university education in some STEM major, then taking off into space as an astronaut or something.  If your professor is a democrat, then they'll totally dig it, and you could easily sell that it...  it's aiming to shorten the gap between a social structure that has been traditionally advantageous for boys.

  6. @Syrus, still waiting... and this video was the same day, but both of these videos were during last year around September.

    EDIT:

@Major_Push, saw your comment in the Shout box about playing the piano.  There was a piano at the train station and my friend randomly began playing POTC.  She kind of gives me the Sheik vibe.

Since it's a directory thread, I'll have to post more pictures of me ::|: I got plenty from this trip anyways

I recommend checking out the Fountain of Trevi, and walk through the Roman Forum area

  8. I didn't even know the UK had a Supreme Court.  Finally visited the Parliament stuff ie. House of Lords, and was able to listen to Boris Johnson in person ::|: .  I've seen him on TV many times as well as some of the other MPs, but I don't know their politics very well...  seemed to me the other MPs were kind of bashing on him today, but he did say a few things that made me grind my teeth too.  Last picture is at Botanic Gardens in Cambridge.  Cost a few £ (GBP), but it was worth it.

I enjoy wearing a tie and blazer from time to time.  I wore it because I read on the website, that I could be asked to leave if not dressed appropriately.  I have to confess I'm used to dressing pretty trashy; coincidentally, for today, I needed to make a few video calls to some places anyways, and so it all panned out just fine.  Plan is off to Italy tomorrow evening as a brief vacation :B|: hope to have pizza and spaghetti pics for you guys, and possibly real gelato (not sure - not a very sweet guy).

Why do you have to follow up?  It was done.  The fire is out and the smoke is gone...

I still don't understand the points against having girls in the Boy Scouts and the converse?  Are these the main points, or am I misunderstanding?

    • The name.  It says "Boy" Scouts, and therefore should only be for boys.
    • Tradition
    • Sexual reasons
