A nice bowl of lightly salted cauliflower is amazing, steamed of course.

I enjoy using it as an alternative to rice or mashed potatoes, or sometimes I'll mix it with those two to make it seem like "more" rice or mashed potatoes.  I've also heard of ideas such as replacing the chicken wings with cauliflower and just drowning it in the hot sauce (I'd love to use the Wing Stop Original Hot).  I plan to try this when I return to the US though.

  2. I legitimately love broccoli.  I love front loading meals with a salad, but I crave broccoli and love when it's added to dishes such as soups or as a side.

It's also cheap, filling, and there isn't really a consequence for eating "too much" of it (and I eat a lot).

  3. New gaming console (definitely not a pulsed power generator)...  it says BOOM!

Push, lets follow up in a private message as I also had the opportunity to visit Lund University while I was there.

Pikachu, mainly because I watched anime series when it was airing on Saturdays. Old times.

I loved the Saturday shows.  I use to record them onto a VHS!  My parents had other plans for me on Saturday mornings, and so I had to record all the cool kids shows like Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh.  I would get so mad if the recording didn't work (damn VHS!).

I liked Picachu for two reasons: The Pokemon Yellow game where he follows you, and because I have the Happy Birthday Picachu card.  I'll look for it when I visit my family again and snap a picture of it.

The higher level a Pokemon with Pickup is, the greater chance to get rare items :)

I only played up to Leaf Green and Fire Red.  Levels had no correlation in those games, but I can see on the Wiki that this is true for the newer generations.

  6. I always loved the classics, but Zigzagoon was freakin' awesome in game.

I would just capture an entire load of these guys and they had a special effect: They would pick up items as you walked throughout the game.  You could just capture as many as you could carry and walk around as they picked up items.  Although rare candy was "rare", carrying 5 of these guys would increase your odds by 5x, and we would pick up a bunch in a short period of time.  My twin and I used this as a way to have Level 100 Pokemon legitimately in a matter of days...  and we wouldn't even have to make it to the first gym battle before achieving this.

Play smart.  You can do it in game; you can definitely do it out-of-game.

Thanks!  I just returned from Sweden this morning!

So: It looks like the leadership is trying to throw me out.  No problem!  I found a cozy spot outside and have moved in.

Like Crusti said I wouldn't worry about taxes until you are making over 3k. If I was you I would look at jobs in delivery. When I was your age I started working delivery for an Italian restaurant and was making 25-35 an hour. As a delivery driver you work as an independent contractor thus often can get away without paying the taxes if its a business that cashes you out nightly. You can get paid back money per mile you've driven as well if you do end up paying taxes as an independent contractor (as long as you buy all your gas on a card to prove your mileage). Meanwhile I would highly suggest applying to as many paid internships as you can so that your work experience can perhaps translate into future employment. That is just my two cents. Apply to many places try different jobs out and gain some experience on the way :).

I don't think MrRabbit is old enough to drive yet, but I'm not sure how open he has been with his specific age anyways (and I wouldn't recommend sharing that info anyways); however, the INTERNSHIP idea is a great one to bring up!

You could probably check with your school if they have some kind of "Career Center".  The professor running the "Work Experience" class also had a bunch of information about job openings targeting students, advice... there was also a "ROP" class (I'm sure other places outside of California has variations of it) with a professor teaching a business oriented class called "DECA"; I took that DECA class and she was the one that told me about the Cement Company!

  9. I don't think you had bad intentions while posting this; in fact: I am sure you were only meaning to show the negative sides of our competitors and this has made you hesitant of applying for Server Admin.

I removed the link and locked the thread... because...  it still links people to one of our competitors whether or not they are pronounced or active.  I don't think our communities will be merging or absorbing one another, but I'm not ready to preemptively burn bridges even if it's just the slightest chance, and I don't want us to be a community critical of others but rather one that can learn from their mistakes and do well on our own (or maybe even pick up something good they may offer).

Sorry that you had a tough experience with them.  I decided that I wanted to read through and I don't think you would have been too happy with us either with an application like that.  Your language does sugges underlying interests that I wouldn't have been able to support, you used bribery, and you added silly pictures and phrases (referencing religion too) in that application.  I don't think we would have responded in the same way and more likely have simply locked the application, but it's something for you to think about as a learning experience (be glad you made the mistake with them instead of us)...  not to become afraid, and maybe you would have a chance with our team if you changed your mind in the future.

Anyhoo: Locked for the reasons above.

  10. I love threads, but if this is a serious one though, then I must admit you are overthinking it.  You don't need ideas for this.  You need to get your foot through the doorway and work a system that's trying to work you.  Many years from now I think you will find that all of these opportunities are conceptually the same.
