  1. While Sawgun could be fun to mess around with, I do have some concerns with this version of the Sawgun.

    1. This version shares the same amount of ammo with the Rifle, meaning you could use the Rifle to gain more ammo for the Sawgun.
    2. If the Sawgun were treated as a 1-shot weapon, it would essentially be superior to the AWP as it comes with 3 ammo by default and 3 ammo to reload with.
    3. Although you can use cvars to choose how much ammo it starts with, you can pick up the sawblades after firing it, meaning you can have more than 3 shots with it.
    4. This version relies on another addon to function properly, meaning that there could be possible LUA conflicts.

    - Added a rule to gameplay rules:

    8. Abusing gameplay exploits to gain an unfair advantage other players is prohibited and will result in a warn and, eventually, a temporary ban if exploiting continues. This includes actions such as propflying and abusing the anti-lag system to dispose of bodies.

    • They are propflying or have disposed of a body via abusing the anti-lag system.

    - Changed the wording on a few of the clarifications

    - Removed a clarification that no longer applied to the server and was accidently left in

  3. Not only is there a Bodyguard role already on the workshop, but this is a far less interesting implementation of the idea. While this version doesn't have to worry about switching teams, there's also a flaw with this idea where you get rewarded for killing your VIP. Since people would much rather be a role that's allowed to kill others rather than be a bodyguard, the VIP would end up being hunted down most of the time.

  4. Not really a fan of this as it's essentially Jackal but with better stats. I also don't like how it's meant to be a role that's meant to be treated like the Hidden, yet it doesn't have the tools to deal with the same amount of pressure that the Hidden would have to deal with. You also did not specify what you specifically want to use as a double barrel shotgun. Having a gun that should be a regular weapon as a role gimmick is also pretty lame.

What are the eggs exactly? Are you referring to the chicken egg equipment?

  5. Roider sounds cool as a concept, but it being limited to melee-only in a game with guns would not be very fun to play as. You could indeed pretend to be a Jester, but then people will start trying to prove you as a Roider by seeing if your crowbar is able to deal damage, which sort of makes the role useless. There's also a bug with the Roider where it sets all damage you deal to your crowbar damage if your crowbar is held out, which has big potential for abuse.

Pure is not fun both to play as and against. As the Pure, you're encouraged to stay away from conflict and do nothing for the Innocent team, acting as nothing more than a walkling hazard for evil roles trying to accomplish their goal. The role also gives your killer 20 seconds of being blinded. For comparison, the Blind minigame only lasts for around 8 seconds. This could also be abused as the Pure could intentionally die to a traitor trap or item to blind whoever set it up, then the Innocents could figure out whoever was blinded to find who the Traitor is.

Imitator is probably the most balanced and interesting to play as out of these roles, and will be under consideration.

Do you think the role could be balanced somehow, like muting the revived player and giving them reduced health or making the medic sacrifice themselves? Or giving the revived player some form of extreme handicap?

While it could be possible to give the revived player some sort of handicap, balancing the handicap itself would be either too weak or too strong depending on how you want to balance it, which would not be very fun to play as nor against. Some role interactions would also be rather overpowered, such as a Lycanthrope knowing that they are a Lycanthrope by reviving or a Pharaoh potentially gaining another use of the Ankh on revive.

  7. Haxray didn't exactly explain why he denied the Medic role, so I will explain why.

Innocents reviving are already pretty strong, but it's even worse when you get someone to revive who doesn't initially have the power to revive.

As Haxray put it in this post about the Occultist role, which is another Innocent role that can revive:

    Spoiler

Innocents respawning back from the dead is one of the single strongest effects you could give the innocent team, due to allowing both to instantly figure out the killer's identity, force the evil roles to have to kill you all over again, adds an instantly proven teammate to the Inno team, and the potential scouting power the person did while dead.

While this may not be as strong since you would instead be trading the life of an Innocent for another, it would still have an adverse effect on gameplay.

There's also a role of the same name on the workshop, the Medic. If you're still interested in this concept though, there is already is a role on the workshop that's pretty much your Medic suggestion, the Sacrifice, but it will likely not be added in any time soon. If you would like to see a role like this in-game though, you can feel free to play on the Anarchy EU server, which has implemented the Sacrifice role.

  10. I will be closing and denying this appeal. You targeted one of the players on our server who is trans, making fun of her for being trans and also harassing her to the point of making her feel highly uncomfortable playing on the server. I will not be tolerating blatant transphobia on the server, and you doing this shows you do not wish to adhere to the rules on the server. Originally, I would've approved of inflicting a permanent mute onto you, but seeing as how you have quite the history on the server, I have decided to upgrade it to a permanent ban. You may re-appeal this ban in a month. If you think this decision is unfair, you may submit an abuse report against me here: https://gflclan.com/forms/11-abuse-reports-form/
