This isn't long distance? Long distance is like, living across the country, or even across the world from the person.
Just now, Benroyjam said:To be honest, that's not really long distance. If anything, it's more of "semi long". I've dated at least 2 girls that is over 500 miles away. which I consider that as long-distance(I haven't dated anyone that long in last 2 year). Kinda sucks to read this, but I hope you'll end up getting everything back.
The title was more a joke about how my shit got stolen was I was gone. Lmao

I hope that you are more fortunate than I was. I'm pretty sure my bike made a sweet gift to someone in Mexico or it was all parted out.
Honestly this really sucks. I mean I'm not really worried about losing the car too much, even though it was a nice car, I'm more worried that I have people waiting on me for their cars and now it will be delayed. And that really sucks. I bet bikes get stolen a lot more because its probably easier than a car.

So, as many of you know, I repair cars in my free time. So today, I went to hang out with my girlfriend, (Who lives about 45 mins away). I went out to my garage about 4 hours after getting home, to get some tools and ramps, so I could take a look at the ac compressor in my car, only to notice that Almost everything that was in my garage was gone. I had a brand new car in there, for when my Focus breaks down (2015 dodge charger),and about $5,000 worth of parts and tools were also gone. All that they left was an engine, and the other worthless junk that everyone has in their garage. I am beyond pissed. I have almost no way of recovering the stuff. All I can think of to give the police as evidence was the license plate of the car and what my neighbors had seen happen, and the license plate could have easily been removed. This not only set me back a large bit money wise, but I now have to tell everyone who's cars I am working on that it will be a longer wait (3 people atm). I'm not sure whether I am going to wait this out to get the tools back, or buy all the ones I need again to get these people's cars back in their hands. I have never been stolen from, and this was about 20 THOUSAND dollars worth of stuff, because of the car. This is going to set me back quite a bit in my funding. All of the money I have earned over the summer will most likely go to replacing all of the stuff, unless the police are able to recover some it. I might start a gofundme to get it all back. I am seriously so mad right now. I don't even know how to explain it.
Thanks for reading,

This is for sure my favorite dessert ever. Black forest cherry cake. The real ones from Germany can never be matched. They are AMAZING.

I would like to have the power to be able to time travel, but only to times that contain myself. And then I would want to be able to see how much the decisions that I made actually affected my life, and how, if I had chosen different, the future would end up. That way if I made a very dumb decision I could travel back in time and fix the mistake.

Moved it to general discussion for you
having to interact with people, especially girls
I can relate. One time I spent $50 on a girl for valentines day, and then she broke up with me ON MY BIRTHDAY because "the cute bagger at the grocery store had called her cute." Keep in mind my birthday is like a month after valentines day (March 14th).

If any of the commands don't work then let me know and I will adjust them accordingly. (This works on my system, but Arch and Debian are a little different, however it should still work). Let me know if this works! And good luck!
This worked! Thank you so so so much! sorry I am kind of a noob at this whole debian thing. Thanks soooo much :D

@GLOdysseus BTW Linux is the kernel. Debain uses the linux kernel.
To run the file you get from the website you need to open a terminal, and cd into the dir where you put the file.
cd /path/to/file
Before running you may need to make the file executable by running
chmod +x teamspeak.run
and to run the file:
./teamspeak.run
changing the filenames and directories to match your setup.
also see: http://howtoubuntu.org/how-to-execute-a-run-or-bin-file-in-ubuntu (Made for ubuntu, but works on debian)
I know this sounds really stupid, But how do I accept the terms and conditions in the terminal once I reach the end?

I have an xbox one, but I even I know playstations are designed way better. You get more exclusive stuff, they have better hardware, and they're more durable.

Haha! Well, I got lucky. My school is one of the most funded in the district. Last year we added a 3D Art course with 3D Printers.
My school has a 3d printer that can print more 3d printers. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). We also have a wide range of AP classes, despite having the most dumb students at our school. Our ACT average for last year was a 22. Which I mean, isn't terrible, but also isn't good. I'm taking AP Chem, AP psychology, AP applied med, and AP computer science. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Same as @Z1galord, soon going into my senior year, and I am always excited for the first month of two of school, but then after winter break, it starts to slow down

I get more and more excited as the year goes by. Less school=more excitement.

Are you going to use a wheelchair or crutches?
Probably a wheelchair at first, eventually moving to crutches once all the nerves have healed

Congrats on the new leg.
Whats the first thing you want to do when you're ready to use it?
I really really really want to do simple things, like skateboard, ride a bike, and rollerblade. I also really want to learn to play soccer/ football.

Yea but you require .deb files and the Linux download for teamspeak is right on the download page.
Ohhhhh I see. But i've seen people with it on Debian before? so there must be a way to do it despite the weird file format?

Just now, GLOdysseus said:
Why not just get Linux then. A lot more available for it including Teamspeak.
Debian is the only thing that would fit on the USB drive I had. Besides, isn't debian a branch of GNU/linux?

I'm going to miss a bunch of school because of my surgery ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I'm excited. I'm probably going to have to do school work while in rehab so I don't get behind though.

So, as many of you know, (for those who know me,) I lost my left leg in a car crash at the age of seven. I have been on the donor list for about 6 years now, since I decided I wanted to go through with a transplant at the age of 10. I was expected to wait 20+ years, But I am very very excited, because I received a call a few days ago. Some poor fellow died and his leg was about the same build/size as mine. I am being prepped for surgery on August 13th. Since it is above the knee, I am expected to have rehab for 6 months, and a year or 2 before I can walk, without a prosthetic. Its a very high risk surgery, with a high rejection rate, (since I am receiving an entire leg that is not mine). But if all goes well, I should be able to stand (with assistance) within 6-7 months. Its about a 14 hour surgery, and I have to take medication for 5 years afterwards to ensure the new leg has the lowest possible rate of being rejected. But yeah. I am super excited, and also hella nervous. I'm not sure exactly how the surgery works, but from what the doctor said, eventually all of the skin cells on the leg will die and fall off, eventually being replaced by my own, making it hardly even noticeable that the leg did not belong to me. The surgery also takes a long time, as all of the nerves, muscles, etc must be reconnected. I am very excited. If you've ever gone through some form of crazy surgery, feel free to let me know. I'm not sure how this is going to go.

I have a feeling that somehow china is going to get involved and just completely obliterate north Korea. That's just my thoughts.

This is why you don't do long distance relationships.
