MAC stands for Mean Aerodynamic Chord. Every aircraft wing has a LEMAC (Leading Edge Mean Aerodynamic Chord) and a TEMAC (Trailing Edge Mean Aerodynamic Chord). These are used in conjunction with an airplane's CG (Center of Gravity) to find a loaded plane's percent of MAC, or where the CG falls in terms of the wings' chord to determine if a loaded airplane is safe to fly or not.
