  1. Xy has added a way for MTF to choose what's they spawn with, They can spawn with all weapon she burn ak and M249. CI can spawn with Famas, M249 and ak. There is no menu, it is in console. Xy mentioned it in her changelog, go looking through it and you will find it. An update is needed, however, and I do like the idea of CI being able to choose any weapon (but who would choose anything other than M249) and the Commander being able to choose any weapon. A menu should also be added.

Ok so I enjoy these conversations to improve a game they are pretty entertaining. Anyways, I like that folder idea @Duc2000 came up with, Burbank instead of Class Ds dropping them maybe they spawn in a random SCP holding cell. It would be like the researchers left and forgot their folder(research), and the spawn room for the folders could be whichever one they were working on before the breach. Let me know what you guys think about this. Also, thanks @Mono for bringing this up. Although, as a researcher I don't like killing Class Ds but I don't like escaping either, it just isn't as fun as running into SCP's faces.

I like the idea of the researchers finding the documents, if they had to o that they wouldn't just hang around the entrance zone waiting to kill Class Ds. They would actually have to do stuff and face a dangerous challenge.

    +1 to that suggestion.

  3. I like 2 and 3, but not really rule 1.

One problem that stops researchers from escaping is that the commander won't open the gate. I think the commander should spawn in the electrical room next to the RDC and have the text that explains what he needs to do tell him to turn it on and open the gate for the researchers.

  4. EDIT: As another suggestion, when SCPs die they drop the folders; this helps satisfy the kill need of our players. They also need the folders to escape. Or, have the folders be hidden somewhere and the researchers need to fight their way there to get them.

The main problem with researchers isn't that there is no challenge, it's that people don't want a challenge. People just want to kill things. Being a researcher for some people is just another way to do that.

So, as a final suggestion, tell researchers that the Class Ds are not allowed to escape and they need to kill the Class Ds. It wouldn't make much difference, since they usually do anyways. The class Ds, meanwhile, are hardened criminals who were tortured by the researchers. If they could kill them, they would.

  5. The main point some people have made is that it is too easy being a researcher so they just go mow down the Class Ds. I see your point about the points, so I also suggested needing folders to escape. Another point is that the researchers are basically MTF. This just ads a twist to the researcher role.

  6. I have already suggested this on a separate thread but I'm making it an official post. People have complained about researcher's job not being a challenge and researchers just basically being MTF with a head start. So, some ideas to fix them:

First, make checkpoints not available to open until the round starts so they can't get through the HCZ so easily. (I kinda stole this from Xy, guess I get demoted)

Second, researchers are supposed to be collecting Data about the SCPs. And a professional would collect data even in a containment breach. So, when a player is killed by a SCP, they will drop a folder. This will dissapear after 10-20 seconds. Researchers can pick them up. Either they get bonus points for picking them up, OR they need one or two to escape.

I made an edit down below so people would see it had changed.

  7. I have an idea.

Researchers are supposed to be collecting info about the SCPs. So, whenever an SCP kills someone, they drop a folder or something. Researchers can then pick them up. If the researchers then escape, they get extra points.

Or, as a challenge, researchers need at least 1 or 2 folders to escape.

The folders could also disappear after a while, maybe 10-30 seconds.

  8. Well at least it's a single pill instead of a bottle of pills that for some reason only has one in it. (Or do you, being a dumbass who don't need no instructions, take all the pills at once?)

Also, might want to ask for those 9 hours back. You could have played breach in that time, but no, you made a pill.

    10/10 use of time.

  9. Basically all that has been said I agree with. However, humanity interacting with aliens? If some kind of intelligent life was capable of interplanetary travel and able to reach Earth, I think their reaction would be either to laugh at us or cry for us. Humanity has dumped shit on this planet. Any other intelligent life has hopefully not done the same. Basically, life exists, but why does that matter? Because we aren't alone? I think any intelligent life would consider us very poor neighbors.

In another direction, if there is intelligent life that come she to our planet, they might consider us a parasite, with the only knowledge or goal being to expand and us even the resources of our host. We would be worse than ants to them.
