  1. Which platform(s) are you appealing?: Discord

Discord/TS3 username (Add your tag and ID if possible):

Why were you banned?: I posted a NSFW image in either TTT MC general chat or just General chat (don't remember which one)

    Why should you be unbanned?

I posted the image because an individual (who i shall not name)posted a NSFW image a week before i posted the same one in the same channel. My reasoning behind this was pretty simple, i just wanted to see how the mods would respond to the situation, and they did respond after another individual got their attention to my post (and rightfully so)and understandably got banned from the discord server

As some of you might already know, I don't exactly like some of the moderation team, I understand why they're there, but i don't agree with how they handle things which is mostly the reason why i decided to post the pic in the first place to see how the situation would be handled. It's both bad and good because i did get banned for violating the rules of the server, but this other individual who did the same thing as me did not get banned until they also took notice of the situation and decided to act in the same manner as i had, which just leaves me feeling conflicted about the whole incident.

I don't really see a better alternative though than just hoping individuals would just ping staff or mods to handle stuff on the discord server, it's obviously not a job and i am not expecting everything to be handled 24/7, but it would still be nice to see if there could be a better implementation of going about these situations other than the aforementioned stuff.

Still it's hard to punish someone for a rule that isn't there, while you did explain in the abuse report what the admin did wrong, in my opinion, an abuse report should've never been made over such a thing, when you could've just talked to the SM's and state your concern, and let the SM's decide what they needed to do, in terms of that rule being added or not to the MOTD, and the punishment to the admin in question.

I feel like part of the reason for the punishment was how the admin handled himself when i confronted him about this issue, which i already stated in my abuse report. Abuse reports are there when admins breaks rules and this is no exception, i don't need to talk to the SM about this. If i did talk to Duck about it, he would've shrugged it off just like he did in the abuse report itself. I wouldn't have made the abuse report if the admin in question responded with an open mind and understood my point that i was trying to get across, but i already explained that he didn't take any criticism and also shrugged it off in a rude manner.

Alright I'll put my 2 cents into this comment, to say that "Duck isn't capable of handling things correctly." is just straight up ignorant, I'm not speaking for the whole discord dm's and other stuff, because I don't have the context, nor do I really want to comment on it, I'm talking mainly about his management on Rotation, now "Modded" TTT server. Duck is the coder SM or basically the developer SM, while Brae is the social SM for the server, and if I'm not mistaken, Duck's main role on rotation is to handle server coding, while he can help on the forums side of things, that's mostly to the social SM to do (Feel free to correct me if I am wrong here).

I shouldn't have worded it like a blanket statement, i meant in the context of all the interactions and problems i have had and discussed with him soo far.

As for the whole MOTD thing, that is a wound that we will not open up again, since the MOTD has been in question a lot and has been brought up a lot during Duck's time as SM, all I can say is that not everything can be included and or explained in the MOTD, just like with the situation you had in which you submitted a report, it's hard to think about those types of situations happening often to actually put them in the MOTD or hard to think about them happening at all to be perfectly honest. Which is why grey areas in the MOTD exist.

It's also kind of silly to think that just because the other SM closed your Admin abuse report, means that duck can't handle things properly/correctly, SM's interact with each other, and think that they talked about your abuse report (I don't know for sure so take this comment with a grain of salt), before brae closed it. Honestly if another SM closes your report is the only argument you have in terms of Duck not handling things correctly, then I'm sorry but I just can't believe you.

I brought up the MOTD because it contains the rules and how you should follow them. And you are right that not everything can be explained in the MOTD, which is why i explained even further in my abuse report about the situation i had a problem with and why I even made the abuse report in the first place, because the admin i made an abuse report on hadn't/didn't realize this. Even before i made the abuse report on the admin in question, i explained to them of how it was wrong in the first place but he was still not accepting any criticism so i just took it to the forums.

i didn't realize until a good while later that Braelyn handled the situation without my knowing a full three days later that i made the abuse report on the Admin in question who then got demoted to Trial Admin.

Ducks response to that abuse report and how it was handled after the fact clearly conflicts with one another, and that's why i think like that towards him, and which is ultimately the start of me thinking negatively of Duck in the way he handles things.

@Gumb4ll'98 Everything that you've written about seems more like you disagreeing with how to apply the rules but there is no glaring evidence here of any wrongdoing. When presented with a situation in which you are against one of his staff Duck has clearly evaluated it and decided that it was within the rules. If you disagree with the way a rule is applied or think it needs changing suggest that. On Vanilla, for example, we specifically have a rule where you cannot claim a T weapon very early in the round, Duck has clearly decided that this falls under the logic rule anyway.

I literally stated after the fact of detailing that whole situtation that another server manager had to come in and handle the situation because Duck didn't handle it correctly, thats the whole point of this argument, that Duck isn't capable of handling things correctly.

Also the fact that you disagree with me even though i have irrefutable proof that what he did was wrong, but then you're just not going to question Ducks one screenshot of Jinzu allegedly breaking the rules. Seems kind of silly to me

  5. That transphobic part is pretty much taken out of context. Before Jesse/Rosa became admin, I asked them why they had that MtF tag in their name and their response was that it exposed the toxic individuals (or people who were just up to no good) to try and make fun of her for it, and she wanted to argue with these individuals and let people on the server to know that these people are just terrible people in general. My response to that was that she should not have that in her name because that would be openly trying to get drama and toxicity on the server when drama/toxicity doesn't need to be there in the first place, and she did it and i thought she would be better because of it (wasn't exactly the case).

My second disgreement with you is that you argue that Jinzu broke his own rules (which may or may not be the case as it's hard to tell based on the screenshot alone), but i remember when i made an abuse report on one of your admins for actually breaking the rules on your own server and your response was that it was fine, when it was in fact not fine (another server manager had to actually come in and tell me the situation was resolved after i discussed my disconcern with your response to that situation). It may be petty to bring it up but we're all bringing receipts here.

Summary of that was that one of his admins killed someone for having a T-weapon like 30s into the round without a T being dead, so the admin killed the person who claimed the T-weapon and said that no way no one would have a T-item that early without any T's being dead, which i refuted that a T could've just deliberately dropped the T-item (which i have done before)

I also made an abuse report on you about your discord moderating behaviour and i didn't get any response from you so i don't think you actually saw that. But it was just going over the fact that you were inconsistent with your punishments and descriptions of those punishments.

The first instance is warning people in MC for posting memes in general but not immediately warning his own admin for posting memes in Rot General until i called him out on it.

The second instance is him warning a few people for posting NSFW related content that wasn't necessarily NSFW but his description for it did not match how he handled that situation.

It's good to be critical of your seniors but you also gotta see your own shortcomings and how to improve yourself, which you clearly have not demonstrated that well (if at all). People have legitimate reasons to dislike you (me being one of them) and it's because of the way you handle things/yourself.

  6. Dude, you're helping T's by throwing an explosive towards a group of people. It is KOSable but it is also bannable because it's a conscientious effort and it can result in a fair number of people dying and not knowing who the T is because they didn't have to do anything besides activate the trap.

  7. honestly just looking at the stuff, it should be a reduced ban. Both sides of the argument is leaving a sour taste in my mouth.

Teaming is a bannable offense but applying it to this situation just seems kinda harsh, but you should still be punished for it. However i still disagree with how CIA handled it, but without knowing the full context (like a video) i can't really state anything other than what i already said.

You talk to me like i've done this multiple times which i found rude & insulting, It isn't my fault because i had logic behind my reasoning its just that i got shocked that i got slayed for it when i felt like i was in the right. I understand now that the gameplay is simplified  for admins to give each player an fair experience. i've never been rude to you but you act like a menie > : (

Dude, we're talking to you like this because look at how you're handling this, you're going to this extent over an RDM you did and it is just rubbing everyone the wrong way and making them think differently about you.

The logic you used is flawed because of what i had already stated like a bajillion times but i guess you won't listen because you don't want to be in the wrong when you were very clearly in the wrong.

Randomly firing and being right infront of the window in lighthouse is too obvious that he wasn't just shooting at props or something like that. He was shooting at people thats near the tester since thats what u can see from the windows in lighthouse.

But you don't know if he was actually shooting at people or not if you don't have visual confirmation, i already stated why this the case in my first argument. The lack of information would just lead to more RDM's than actual plays.

    Just now, Klordix said:

The person that announced that he was shot was still alive because he used his mic to say it. Of course people can lie but its not likely that people would lie about taking damage from a sniper compared to false kos people, my point is that it was unlikely for him to lie about it.

Yeah it's unlikely but it's still a possibility, and with these situations, you gotta mitigate as much uncertainties as possible to avoid RDM's to happen. Which is why verbal claims other than KOS'es are not excusable in RDM's (if they are RDM's).

  10. The thing you are forgetting is the lack of certainty in any of these situations that would benefit the change of this rule. How can we be certain that no other individuals shot at or near the same time as the individual you suspect? How can you be certain that he wasn't just randomly firing his gun and it just soo happened that another person got killed at the same time? How do you know that the person who said he was shot isn't lying?

Without definite proof, you are just killing on suspicion and that is not allowed.

  11. Now i may be an outlier in this situation, but I'd like to give my two cents.

I started out as a non-member and i decided to stay that way for 250+ hours, until someone bought me supporter. This should go without saying, you play a game to win, not to play a role and that's how i looked at it when i started playing TTT. I never cared about what role i was during a round, as long as i won the match. However this isn't how everyone wants to enjoy the game and people do enjoy being a T more than anything else

The issue i have with is the rules, they can be too vague sometimes and they still apply even in the most obvious situations that it favours the T's and i honestly think it can ruin a persons experience with TTT. I want every role to be fun but I also understand it would be hard to do that without actually legitemately reviewing and analyzing like tens of hundreds of hours of footage just to make the server rules more effective for all the parties involved

Your solution is a pretty neat idea, but then you will also have people complaining that they can't buy T-passes no matter their rank because you've created a bottleneck essentially on top of the T-pass system. This system should it get implemented can alleviate peoples' frustration with controlled roles but now you got people wanting to buy T-passes but not being able to because of reserved RNG slots. This will definitely decrease peoples' perception of value on their ranks if they already bought it.

  12. I'm not trying to loophole it, I'm trying to point out how useless it is for the most part if i can already identify who the person is anyways based on their location, or their habits. The disguiser in itself is actually a really bad item since if someone can already easily identify a person who uses it without actually seeing their name beforehand, they can just follow them around for the entire game until they do something. My proposed changes allow people to adopt different play styles so that they can fully utilize it to their advantage alone so that it would definitely be harder to identify the individual in that manner. My pointing out those things are the reason i wanted the proposed changes, sure the people in question can still play the same, but I believe that would be a misuse of how my idea should be.

  13. So for about the past week or so, I've always been getting reported for KOS'ing someone for using a disguise, which is understandable since that is against the rules, but i want to point out that i am correct 100% of the time without hesitation. The problem is that players are too monotonous with how they play, and some players learn of their habits and affiliation with different play styles, and that's what i wanted to talk about.

The first issue i want to point out is that you should be able to KOS them off of that since i feel like it falls under just using logic to determine who is a T. Everyone mostly plays in a static manner in that they just use the same cosmetics and habitual play styles whenever they're innocent, detective, or a terrorist. It seems like that's the biggest issue i have been noticing myself when people do call it out, they will say you have no grounds or proof because "mUh DisGuIseR", you can call it out when you're absolutely certain of who the person in question is, because of the aforementioned details above, but you'll get reported anyways because that's what the rule states, and i don't feel like that should warrant a report.

I have been correct all of the times i called someone out on using a disguiser, and it's because of these details that i notice about the player and their playstyle. I understand why the rule is there, because you can't KOS off of skin since people can just change their skins, but i feel like it should be changed to not be interpreted soo literally.

The easiest way to go about this is to actually change how the disguiser functions, in that it just changes you to a basic player-model with no outside cosmetics added, since most of the players already look like that. This would definitely improve on how people report other players for KOS'ing them off of disguiser since there is a much, much smaller chance of you actually figuring out who it is (other than minute details like movement, habits, etc.)

This also becomes a RDM issue since you will get slain if you go off of skin in the first place, but the people are correct pretty much all of the time because of those details i mentioned, so whats the point of using a disguiser if people already recognize you outside of your name.

This is just my observation, and you can freely disagree with me.

  14. Hey guys, my name is Gumb4ll'98

I just recently joined your servers and I'm having a blast and not a blast at the same time, but that feels pretty standard for high capacity servers on Gmod.

I used to play a lot (and i mean a lot) of LifePunch Jailbreak, i probably have around 1500 hours on their servers before they cucked themselves to death. I'm saying this because i used to help (somewhat) moderate their servers because it was very enjoyable when there wasn't anything bad going on relatively speaking, and i feel like i could offer that same service to these servers as well. I'm not trying to put myself on a pedestal here and try to rank up as fast as i can, but i want to be inclusive since i do care about most of the players on these servers.
