Back in August, we had to close down our Rust Division as a result of many unfortunate circumstances. As a Division, it not only had a successful run, but it had all sorts of people visit and create a strong community. Although it has closed down, just keep in mind that a revival of our Rust Division can be considered in the future. It just depends on how everything would work out upon launch and afterwards. If you’d like to see it return, then don’t lose hope!

Not all of the happenings in August were unfortunate, however! We were able to expand into the EU region once more with two new CS:GO servers--KZ Climb and Surf Timer! Both of these support only the easy levels for now, but more difficult servers will hopefully be added in the future. All GFL clan members are free to try them out!

Of course, we were pleased to find someone new and fit to help fill this role. We promoted @Runda to the position of DL because of both his plans for the future of the CS:S Division, and for his activity that has lasted for some years. Early July saw the arrival of a new addition to the GFL family of servers: GMod Minigames! With over 30 maps to start and over 10 minigames to choose from--including Hidden, Deathrun and Floor is Lava--there’s been a little something for everyone to enjoy, and it’s already seen a respectable amount of traffic over the past month.

Ever since founding it, @Roy has been the Owner of GFL for just a bit over 10 years. Recently, he has resigned and given ownership of the community away. Under Roy, GFL has had high points and low points, as any other community would, but we’ve also achieved some amazing things along the way. Not every online group gets to some of the places that we’ve been, but among all of the people who have joined us along the way, a big person to thank for all of this is Roy. If you ever have the chance and have not already done so, please drop by this thread and send him your thanks!

So, in the span of an hour, you got muted for admin disrespect, I've been informed it wasn't just one joke, you then proceeded to call my admin the n word in chat, you then proceeded to get in a discord chat with "big guy" and "grugachuggachoochoo" and encourage them to harass my admin, including claiming abuse. Then, once you were unmuted you proceeded to do it again and you expect me to believe that not only do you have push to talk bound to the same key on discord and tf2 for some reason, but you also just so happened to accidentally press it and do the same thing 13 minutes after your previous mute expired. You then decided that the next thing to do was to abuse /calladmin and claim harassment, at which point I decided enough was enough and banned you.
By the way that isn't your SteamID, the form gives you a way to find your SteamID and even gives you an example so you know exactly what it is. You also neglected to follow the instruction to look up your ban on Sourcebans.

 

I don't know why you even thought that was your SteamID considering it's not your community url.

The day silence is policy, especially when avoiding the automod even second hand, I'll decrease it to an hour to be nice however if you do it again in the future it'll be a week. If someone avoids the automod just /calladmin and don't copy paste what they said, we can check the admin chatlog for proof. If you want to show others that someone avoided the automod direct them to our gameme https://gfl.gameme.com/chat/tf3.

I'm assuming the people asking you were doing it in voice, cause there's nothing in the chat logs, regardless between the auto silence, which was for the hard r, combined with a previous silence for slurs, containing both the f and t slurs, I'm gonna say wait out the remaining 12 hours. This appeal is denied.

I can say from experiments as long as you have decent motherboard and a decent power supply the sound quality won't degrade, I mean realtek literally has things for managing surround from those jacks as well.

 

I think I used it once or twice on my old computer when I was testing something, my new one doesn't even have colour coding or the side speaker port (and yes I know the front headphone jack or the mic jack can be repurposed as the grey jack for 7.1).
