Recently, the election cycle for the Community Representatives (CR’s) who would join Council ended. The winners were @Infra and @Salad. However, in order to change the Council’s member number from 7 to 9, these two were appointed as Members of the Council based on their experience and accomplishments as Staff Members. This position is not elected, and a new appointee will be selected if one of the holders of this position resigns. Because of this fact, it was decided to redo the CR election. Oh, and don’t worry, because this time... We’ve decided to keep the current winners as CR’s! So, let’s take this from the top.

Be sure to not only commend everyone listed here, but to also commend everyone who ran for CR. All of them tried their best, and you have to give some respect for that. As for elections, we of the Writing Team will surely be informing you about the next election. It will begin sometime around November 30th, when the current terms for our two current CR’s are complete.

For 10 years, there was a member of our community who had been with us for a long time. However, this member has recently decided to step back of their own accord. This person is @Jekyll. As a longtime member of our community, Jekyll has had a lot of experience in seeing the environment of our community change, from its humble beginnings to the days where GFL has thrived most. Most recently being notable for being a CS:S Division Leader for CS:S, Jekyll has been someone who has had a lot of impact on our community. While it may be a shame to see one’s departure, it is something that must come after one’s arrival. To Jekyll, thank you for being with us for this long of a time, and be sure to make the best of your future.

As Jekyll was not only the Division Leader for C:SS, but also the Server Manager for our Squad Server, we needed to look for a new person to take up the position. So, after searching for potential candidates, it was decided that @John Jeez Man would be the one to take the reins for our Squad server! John has not only been trying to increase the server population, but they also have a plan for doing so as a whole in the future! Remember, this is only the beginning of a plan for making our Squad server one of the most fun places to be in the game. Be sure to join the server not only if you’d like to help out, but also if you’d like to have a good time in general!

Our events Team Leader @Serenity has recently decided to step down. We are excited to announce that after a search Serenity has decided to pass the torch to @BlazingArson. They show great leadership abilities and we believe that they will lead the team to the best of their ability. We would also like to show our appreciation for what Serenity has done for the team, being a great and dedicated leader.

Due to the mod team’s ever-expanding nature it was decided that a new Co-Team Leader was needed.  We are excited to announce that this new Team Leader is @Joshy. After seeing him do an excellent job as a senior moderator and we are confident that he will continue to do so as Team Leader, helping the team to grow and thrive even more.

Recently, our CS:GO Technical Administrator, Ash, decided to resign from his position, thus creating an opening for a high end staff position within our CS:GO Division. Filling that vacancy will be @Infra as co-Division Leader. As FrenZy wrote in his announcement for this promotion, having two Division Leaders is a great way to balance the workload, especially that of such a demanding division like CS:GO. Throughout the last year, Infra has proven himself capable throughout all of his positions, some of which include Surf Timer Admin, KZ Climb Server Manager, Technical Administrator, and Team Leader. As someone who is constantly offering to help whenever and wherever he can, he is no doubt the best person for this position. Join us in congratulating him on CS:GO Division Leader!

Because the ban expired I'm moving this to denied as it would've been denied anyway based on the content of the spray.

The motd very clearly says that nsfw sprays will results in a ban without warning, your spray was very clearly nsfw. I will be denying this appeal and you will have to wait out your week.

I'm going to start by mentioning your mute history on your current account which includes a mute for slurs and a mute for obscene language, which I can only assume to be something similar.

further on from those mutes, I've also checked your chat log, on the point that "I have enough self-control, and have grown from what I did in the past" I do not believe that to be true, simply from looking through, two easy to point out examples would be:

Unfortunately, softcore or not, they are very clearly children, and there is a very clear explicit implication. Even if they weren't, this is your third ban for having an explicit spray, therefore I will be denying this appeal.

The spray is a very clearly sexual depiction of two children, regardless of level of nudity, it is stated in the motd that such sprays will result in a ban without warning and I do not feel like having people who use such sprays on my server.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt on this and take your word for it because of how much stupid stuff tf2 goes on with in regards to sprays. As a note for the future please don't spray over nsfw sprays in-case tf2 does it's thing and doesn't show your spray just your name. This appeal is accepted.

I'm going to be denying this appeal. Your spray was not just someone in a bikini it was a near-nude depiction of a child. It is explicitly stated in the motd that such sprays will result in a ban without warning and I do not feel like having people who use such sprays on my server.

As there are only 2 hours left on your silence I'm inclined to just say to wait out the last 2 hours, and definitely don't play tipsy enough to even accidentally type things like that again.

This basically, it's just poorly written and leaves it too open to interpretation as to how the question is laid out, if the person who made it wanted a proper answer they would've listed what order to use.
