5% makes a whole lot btw..... have you seen the 74% votes kekw.

Welp, expect a lot of 69-s on the server now

Anyway, sounds like GFL settings are perfect and maps don't get wasted. Good stuff 👍

a yes/no extend vote will automatically have more people voting in favour of the extend due to it being a simple yes/no vote

It's actually the opposite, more players would vote in favor of a popular map and against a map they are unfamiliar.

The admin extend is meant to be an extra extend and you shouldn't automatically expect to get it

That's true, but there are maps that need that extra 10 min. Especially when they are long by design and rarely practiced.

Not to mention we reduced the percentage from 75% to 70% just a few weeks ago...

5% would barely make any difference.

  3. Please reduce the acceptance percentage to 60%

70% still seems too high for GFL. Other servers tend to keep it at 60% or even 50%. This high percentage favors only popular maps played daily. Underplayed long maps are condemned under these settings. You would need a perfect run, despite a learning curve from the map being played less than once a month.

These extends are already subject to admin's judgment, which are trustworthy people. So lowering the percentage shouldn't get abused.

In addition, GFL tends to have a lot of newer players (in contrast to say CSS servers). These folks would have limited view of the ZE map pool, and are expected to favor the popular choices. They also wouldn't fully grasp why maps should be played to completion, when others are leading or making the effort to progress till the end. 30% acceptance favors such players to dictate the outcome, despite the guidance of experienced folks.

And this is again just 1 extra extend of a good map rarely played. It wouldn't degrade server's experience for anyone.
