  1. Hi, My Username is Gustavus Aldoggus. You may be wondering why i’m constantly angry and bitter wherever i go, and i’m here to explain that.

Everywhere I go I hear honesty praised and tolerance being something everyone considers themselves to have, when in reality it could be further from the truth, or at least I've convinced myself so. I’m always terrified of saying anything true or meaningful at all to people I don't know, It feels like my heart sinks to the Mariana trench. When I was 4, my parents split and I was taken by my mother to California from Texas. For the next 4 years I lived with a mother who was negligent, an alcoholic, a whore, and a drug addict. I essentially learned nothing from school until 3rd grade. I did, however, learn very quickly the results of saying things people didn’t want to hear, but i was too young and too stupid to understand how to keep my mouth shut. During those 4 years my father was fighting for custody, and won. By the time I moved to Texas with my father I was confused, angry, and sad about everything. Why couldn’t I be like the other kids who went home to friends and family, to something happy? Why were they able to finish their sentences so easily and talk so casually? Why did everyone else know how to do math and write sentences when i didn’t even know how to use more than two digits? I’ll spare you the details and say that things kept being sub-par at best if they weren’t rapidly declining at worst, and life was usually devolved to a constant game of catch-up. So when i found social interaction on the internet when I was around 12, It blew my mind that i could say whatever i wanted to and not be punished. So I did just that. However, I never was able to push the same ground in reality. So that’s why i’m bitter all the time while i’m on, because i can’t afford to slip up and say the wrong things in my actual life. In all truth, this has made me a terrible person, not in the sense of my action, but rather my inaction with those around me, as I've become too afraid of how i think they’ll react. As of the 29th, I've finally confronted that, and confessed my near-constant suicidal thoughts and my dreads to my student counselor (In case you're curious why i haven't off'd myself yet, i already know that i'd fail and the medical conditions that can result from most methods of failed suicide would be devastating, not to mention hospitalization). Much to my delight and surprise, my over exaggerated fears of ridiculous consequences like hospitalization and aggression from my father never came to fruition. I’m going in to get help on the 3rd, and for once in my life I'm actually hopeful for the future. I’m not going to bed to end today, but to start tomorrow.

I hope you enjoyed reading some angry and edgy teenager’s little sob story.

Note: Obviously i'm skipping quite a bit of detail, since you don't want to be here all day now do you.

  2. So since other GFL servers are celebrating the 10th anniversary of this Shitpost of a community, i thought we should to the same. Here are two ideas for a ttt anarchy GFL event.

Idea #1: All newton launchers simple.

This is a ***Simple*** idea (see what i did there?). Restrict players to exclusively using the newton launcher. I believe this can be done through other means, but if not possible, i would suggest doing this by removing all weapon spawns from simple and then removing all directly harmful items from shops (such as p90,ak47,slams,etc.). I'd recommend just not having any sort of fancy rewards and just have an hour or two of stupid fun via newton launchers. In terms of rules and gameplay it would otherwise be normal TTT anarchy gameplay.

Idea #2: Random 100 OP roles.

this one doesn't really matter what map it is, but if you wanted to set it to a certain map for some reason i'd suggest community bowling  or some other large map that isn't rooftops/waterworld. For this event, we'd set the "random" value of all roles to 100, meaning every role is guaranteed to spawn, and we would add and bring back several op roles, such as vampire and beacon. In specific, i'd vouch for temporarily adding shinigami, sniffer, and occultist and temporarily bringing back vampire and beacon for the event, with the following ConVar values for beacon being in place. If this idea gets accepted, i'd suggest describing these roles in the event post as well as temporarily adding them to the "Roles and what they do" forum post. Same as the newton launcher idea, i really wouldn't suggest adding rewards and instead just having it be an hour or two of wackiness

    # the number of buffs that the beacon starts with
      ttt2_beacon_min_buffs [2] (default: 1)
    # The maximum number of buffs that the beacon can achieve
      ttt2_beacon_max_buffs [5] (default: 5)

    # Upon receiving this many buffs, the beacon lights up, revealing their role (like a detective)
      ttt2_beacon_deputize_num_buffs [3] (default: 3)

    # Beacon receives a buff when these types of players are confirmed dead
      ttt2_beacon_search_mode [0] (default: 0)
      # 0: Team mates are confirmed dead (innocents, survivalists, detectives, etc.)
      # 1: Non team mates are confirmed dead (traitors, infected, serial killers, jesters, etc.)
      # 2: Anyone is confirmed dead
      # 3: Do not buff based on player death
    # Beacon receives a buff the instant that a mate/non-mate/player dies (based on search_mode above)
      ttt2_beacon_buff_on_death [0/1] (default: 0)

    # Beacon receives a buff every x seconds. This is disabled if x is 0.
      ttt2_beacon_buff_every_x_seconds [45] (default: 0)

    # The damage the beacon receives if they kill one of their mates
      ttt2_beacon_judgement [20] (default: 20)

    ###BUFFS###
    # The speed boost the beacon gets per buff (as a percentage of default speed)
      ttt2_beacon_speed_boost [0.05] (default: 0.2)

    # The stamina boost the beacon gets per buff (as a percentage of default stamina. Affects how long the beacon can sprint for)

      ttt2_beacon_stamina_boost [0.1] (default: 0.2)

    # The stamina regen boost the beacon gets per buff (as a percentage of default stamina regen. Affects how quickly the sprint meter refills)
      ttt2_beacon_stamina_regen_boost [0.1] (default: 0.2)

    # The jump power boost the beacon gets per buff (as a percentage of default jump power. If this is greater than 0, the beacon will receive the NoFallDamage item)
      ttt2_beacon_jump_boost [0.1] (default: 0.2)

    # The flat damage resistance boost the beacon gets per buff (as a percentage of damage which will be ignored)
      ttt2_beacon_resist_boost [0.1] (default: 0.15)

    # The armor the beacon gets per buff (by default a player with armor has 30+% damage reduction. Armor is reduced by each hit absorbed)
      ttt2_beacon_armor_boost [0..n] (default: 0)

    # The health regen per second the beacon gets per buff (ex. 0.2 ==> 1 HP every 5 seconds)
      ttt2_beacon_hp_regen_boost [0.05] (default: 0.2)

    # The damage boost the beacon gets per buff (as a percentage of default damage)
      ttt2_beacon_damage_boost [0.05] (default: 0.10)

    # The fire rate boost that the beacon gets per buff (as a percentage of default fire rate. Only applies to melee, pistol, and heavy type weapons)
      ttt2_beacon_fire_rate_boost [0.05] (default: 0.2)

Note: The gaining a buff every 45 seconds is only in here due to the heavily reduced amount of innocents that will be in play, which results in the beacon potentially not getting buffs from innocent corpses being found

  3. I made a quick edit of the TTT anarchy roles and what they do post, making it somewhat shorter and more compact to fit into an image. I think it would be great if said image was added as a loading screen image it would immediately introduce players that are loading in for the first time to the new roles, saving part of the hassle. That being said the image is probably far too large in it's current state so it would require further editing but you get the idea of this suggestion

Here's the full thing in text form as well

Welcome to GFLClan's TTT Anarchy Server!

List of all roles and what they do

Spy: Team: Innocent.  Appears as a Traitor to the Traitor team, and is able to 'fake' buy items from the T shop. The spy is not informed as to who the Traitors are. Spies will appear as a Traitor when their body is Ided. While the Spy is alive, Traitors are unable to use team chat.

Beacon: Team: Innocent. A Starts out hidden, but gains a stacking stat buff every time another innocent player dies. After enough stacks are reached, they start glowing, revealing their identity to everyone.

Priest: Team: Innocent. Spawns with a special Holy Deagle. The Holy Deagle has limited ammo that it slowly regenerates overtime. Shooting an innocent role with the Holy Deagle(Not counting detectives) adds them to the priest's Brotherhood. Someone who is a part of the Brotherhood sees the name of all other Brotherhood members highlighted in green on the scoreboard. If the Priest shoots an infected or sidekick with the Holy Deagle, they are killed. If they shoot a Marker, every member of the Brotherhood gets considered as Marked. Shooting any other evil role simply kills the Priest. If the Priest is converted into An infected or turned into a sidekick by the Jackal, ALL members of the brotherhood will also be affected. If a player's role is changed to an evil role after they are introduced into the brotherhood, they remain inside the Brotherhood.

Pharaoh: Team: Innocent. Spawns with a special Ankh they can place down. The Pharaoh will revive at the Ankh if they are killed, and the Ankh grants a slow health regeneration while within its Radius. However, placed Ankhs can be destroyed permanently by anyone, and have 500 health. Upon reviving, the Ankh will be destroyed and the Pharaoh will only have 50 health. Reviving is on a 10 second delay after death. Upon playing the Ankh, one of the Traitors will be transformed into the Graverobber. The Graverobber behaves the same as a normal Traitor, however they have the ability to steal the Pharaoh's Ankh for their own use.

Survivalist: Team: Innocent. Starts with access to the Detective shop and a single credit they can spend to buy an item. Appears as a Grey Icon on the Detective(or other friendly roles)'s Radar informing them of their identity.

Skirmisher: Team: Innocent. Upon killing a player, the Skirmisher regains a certain amount of health.

Executioner: Team: Traitor. They are given a player as a target. They deal extra damage against their target. If their target dies, they obtain a new target after a period of time.

Mesmerist: Team: Traitor. They spawn with a one use defib that can revive any dead player as a Traitor. The revived player will not appear as alive on the scoreboard if their body was already ided. Players revived are given the Thrall role, which behaves identically to the default Traitor. Mesmerists start with only one credit.

Thrall: Team: Traitor. Created when the Mesmerist revives a dead person as a Traitor. Identical to a normal Traitor outside of the name.

Defective: Team: Traitor. Appears to be a Detective to the innocent team, and has access to the Detective Shop. The Defective does not take the place of a Normal Detective spawn, and instead spawns in addition to the normal amount of Detectives. When ided, the Defective will show up as a Detective.

Glutton: Team: Traitor.  Is unable to access the T shop, but has access to an unique weapon and a hunger meter. The Glutton is able to eat corpses with its weapon, healing and gaining additional max health. It can also be used as a weapon to damage other players. The Glutton's hunger meter will slowly fill as time goes on. The higher the bar, the more damage is dealt to players with the weapon, but if the hunger bar gets full, the Glutton becomes the Ravenous, a role that is no longer on the traitor team and must kill everyone to win.The Hunger bar drains whenever the Glutton eats a corpse. Other Traitors are able to view the current status of the hunger bar when looking at the Glutton.

Haunted: Team: Traitor. Does not have access to the Traitor shop. Upon someone killing the Haunted, they gain the Haunted status and are surrounded by Black smoke. Upon the player with the Haunted status being killed, the Haunted will respawn with 50 health. This effect can happen multiple times.

Jester: Team: Jester Type: Special Evil.  that has the goal of wanting to get themselves killed. If they die, their killer will also be killed, and they will respawn with a random role that is the opposite of their killer's role(For example, if a Traitor killed them they could spawn as an Innocent or a neutral evil, if an Inno kills them they'll respawn as an evil role).

Jackal: Team: Jackal Type: Killing Evil. They win by killing everyone else, not counting the Jester. They have access to the Traitor Shop.  They spawn with a special Sidekick Deagle that comes with one shot. The shot regenerates overtime if you fail to shoot someone with it. Upon hitting a player with the Sidekick Deagle, they become a Sidekick and allied with the Jackal. If the person shot with the Sidekick Deagle was a Detective, they continue to display as a Detective for the innocent team. If the person shot with the Sidekick Deagle was originally a Traitor or a Spy, they will continue to display as a Traitor for the Traitor Team, however the T's chat will be re-enabled if it was the Spy converted. If the original Jackal dies and the Sidekick is still alive, the Sidekick will become a new Jackal and gain their own Sidekick Deagle.

Sidekick: Team: Jackal Type: Killing Evil. This role is created when the Jackal shoots someone with their sidekick deagle. It overrides their previous role and they are now on the Jackal's team. They gain access to a T shop same as the jackal, and can speak to the Jackal using team chat. When the original Jackal dies, the sidekick turns into a replacement Jackal, gaining their own sidekick deagle.

Restless: Team: Restless Type: Killing Evil.  They win by killing everyone else, not counting the Jester. They have the ability to come back to life three times in a round, but each time they respawn they have less health and deal less damage. They will respawn at a random spawnpoint when killed.

Infected: Team: Infected Type: Killing Evil.  They win by killing everyone else. People they kill with their fists or guns(Provided they still hit the corpse with their fists within a few seconds) come back as Infected on the side of the Infected. People revived this way have 30 health, are visible as a zombie skin and are armed with fists that can kill someone in 2 hits. They also gain a speed boost. The infected IS able to kill the Jester without giving the Jester a win. However, if the original Infected is killed, all other infected also perish.

Marker: Team: Marker Type: Special Evil.  They want to mark a certain percentage of the total number of living people(displayed on their hud) with their paintball gun. The total amount of people needing to be marked reduces as the amount of living players decreases, but will no longer reduce at a certain amount. Alongside their paintball gun, they spawn with a single use defib that can revive a dead player as their original role. They can only deal heavily reduced damage to Marked players, and cannot damage unmarked players.  Players who are Marked are unable to damage the Marker.

Unknown: Team: None Type: Neutral. A neutral Role. Like the Jester, they want to be killed. Upon being killed, they respawn with the same role as their killer. They cannot win the round without having been killed and changing to another team. Unlike the Jester, they are capable of dealing damage. They will not respawn if their killer dies while they are reviving.

Amnesiac: Team: None Type: Special Evil. Upon investigating a body, becomes the role of the dead person. Cannot win without assuming a role. Amnesiacs can either murder someone and take their role from their body, or try to find a dead body on their own. All players are informed when the Amnesiac claims a role, as well as what role they claimed.  The Amnesiac deals reduced damage to players until they obtain a role from a body. Amnesiac counts as an evil role in regards to the Priest

Serial Killer: Team: Serial Killer Type: Killing Evil. Wants to kill everyone who is not the Jester. Has access to an unique variant of Radar called the Pinger, that shows player's outlines through walls. Also has access to his own unique shop menu separate from the Traitor and Detective menus, with his own unique items.

Mimic: Team: None Type: Special Neutral. An neutral role. They are unable to win by default and must instead copy someone's role by pressing E on them. The Mimic is unable to copy the Marker, and will instead transform into a marked Amnesiac.

Doppelganger: Team: Doppelganger Type: Neutral Evil/Special Evil They win by killing everyone else who is not on the Doppelganger's team. They are able to steal someone's role by pressing E on them, similar to the Mimic. However, they remain on the Doppleganger team after taking their role, and their Victim loses their role and transforms into an Unknown. Like the Mimic, Attempting to Transform into the Marker will instead result in turning into a marked Amnesiac. Additionally, the Doppelganger cannot steal the roles of the Infected or Beacon.

Randy Rando: Team: Randy Rando Type: Neutral Evil/Special Evil They win by killing everyone else. They spawn with a radomat, and upon using the Randomat, one of various special events/round modifiers will trigger. Some are good, some are bad, some simply cause mass chaos. Rando has a lower spawn rate than most other neutral evil roles.

  4. Community pool, innocentmotel, chaser, waterworld  and rooftops (but both are  fucking terrible maps that i think should be removed for other reasons), and clue. I would think of other maps that should be edited if i had the full map list in front of me but these are the only ones i can think of

    4 minutes ago, Alexis said:

Can you list the bad weapon spawn maps so I can fix em up?

For anyone who reads this recently all of the mimic strats are kind of outdated as it pops up in giant letters that a mimic copied your role so you can't really use it to claim a role without being instantly called out

Fair point, i need to think of a strat to replace the rephrence to claiming mimic in this scenario.  Currently i can't think of any valid way to claim something similar to mimicking someone's role so i guess that strat is dead

  6. Team:Innocent

Description: At the start of a round that contains the Crusader, 3 random players of any role will be assigned an honor vow. The crusader knows which players have an honor vow, and a player that has an honor vow will know they have one. For every player that has an honor vow that is alive, a crusader will gain +15% damage dealt, -20% damage taken. The crusader starts with 30 armor.

Note: Plan on making a convar for all of the values mentioned in this, in addition to having a convar to make honor vows only be given to innocents.

  7. Team: Innocents

Description: Upon killing a player, restores X health (Imo should be 100, but having a con-var for it would make sense), is otherwise a normal innocent.

Note: This would be pretty easy to make, so if people like the idea i'll actually try to put forth effort into creating it

  8. Team: Duelist

    Type: Neutral Killing

The Duelist wins by having only other Duelists alive. At the start of the game, the Duelist is assigned a dueling partner, and has a radar with a 15 second delay that only shows their dueling partner as a gray blip.Whenever a dueling partner is assigned, both the Duelist and the dueling partner are restored to 100 health if they were below 100 health. The dueling partner and the Duelist cannot deal damage or be dealt damage by any other players. The duelist has 60 seconds to kill their dueling partner, or else they will die. Whenever the Duelist kills a dueling partner, they are instantly assigned another dueling partner. Unless there are no players far enough, an assigned dueling partner will always be at least 2000 hammer units away (For those who don't understand how far away that is, the radar and c4 icons use hammer units to measure distance). Duelists cannot be assigned to each other as dueling partners. Duelists cannot be assigned markers as dueling partners.

Alternatively, the Duelist could be assigned a new random role after winning X (2 would be a good amount imo) amount of duels, in addition to receiving some sort of innate buff such as max health, speed, firerate, etc.

  9. DISCLAIMER: I know the title says “Extensive”, but keep in mind you should implement your own strategies in terms of claiming roles (Also you’re reading a guide made by Gustavus Aldoggus, the most bitter piece of shit you’ll ever meet.). Treat this guide more so as a baseline to build off of, not as an absolute.

Detective: Don’t claim it lol. Only exception is doppleganger - > detective or being a defective, which in that case you visually show up as a detective so your only job is to just not get caught doing evil shit.

Spy: Claim it if you’re the last traitor with a spy and the spy hasn’t claimed spy yet, then immediately kill the spy that’s left alive. You can also just claim it if there’s not a spy in the round as a traitor. Is an excellent claim as a non-traitor evil role (IE jackal) and you just killed a traitor. You don’t really have to put much active effort into maintaining the facade of being spy unless someone says something along the lines of “Oh then buy me a sandwich” And you’re not an evil with a shop, but in that case just say you don’t have credits lol

Beacon: Don’t claim it lol (Beacons are instantly proven after getting 3 buffs, and any smart player can tell you’re not beacon due to beacon having a movement speed buff)

Priest: Don’t claim this if you’re a non-traitor evil role (AND DO NOT CLAIM THIS IF YOU’RE A JACKAL, PLS). If you’re a traitor, then pretend to “Holy deagle” Your t buddies, and if there’s another priest in the round claim Mimic turned priest. Is a risky role to claim overall, but the payoff of potentially proving your T buddies is quite nice. You won’t be able to get away with claiming to be a priest though for more than ~2 minutes though, since eventually people will go “Wait a second, this guy isn’t actually holy deagling anyone!” so end the game quick if you plan on claiming to be a priest.

Pharaoh: Really only useful to claim this as Restless. Wait ~7 seconds after reviving before talking in chat so as to appear like it took you 10 seconds to revive. Don’t bother claiming Pharaoh if your body was identified. If there’s already a Pharaoh in the game you can try to claim Mimic turned Pharaoh.

Survivalist: Generally speaking claiming survivalist is kind of a bad idea, due to the max limit of there being 2 survivalists, and survivalist showing up as a gray blip on spy/surv/detective radar, meaning any of those 3 roles can instantly disprove your survivalist claim. If you really want to claim survivalist though, I would recommend asking the following first; “Hey detectives and survivalist, anyone have a radar?” If asked why you’re asking, say you want to know where people are, and if no one has a radar of the following roles, then claim survivalist ig. If there’s already 2 confirmed survivalist (chances are there is) claim mimic turned survivalist. If you can manage to dispose of an unidentified survivalist corpse (flare gun, eating it as glutton, just hideing it, etc.) it can help to reinforce your survivalist claim, but chances are a det or surv is just going to buy a radar and make you cry.

Wrath/Lycanthrope: Don't claim it lol, those roles don't even know they're that role lol. If you really want to claim them for some reason, claim mimic turned Wrath/Lycanthrope and mention the person you "stole" the role from to make it look a bit more legit (Sweet bonus to this is that person will probably trust you since that sounds like something an actual mimic would state and they can't disprove you).

Note: Duplicating any of these startegies in a really obvious/shitty way is an excellent Jester play, so if you're a jester keep that in mind.

  10. "Do not t-bait. You'll only fool newbies and burriss. Instead do more subtly kosable things, like walking past unided bodies."

    LOL

in terms of detective, i would actually advise buying radar first, p90 with the 2nd credit you obtain.

For survivalist i would still buy p90 just to prove yourself

For haunted, if you have access to comms (IE no spy) coordinate with you t buddies to put yourself in a situation where you travel in a pair and you attack 1-2 people and then your t buddie finishes them off, instantly reviving you. Works really well.

For default innocent, i would stick with a special innocent role for the majority of the game to protect them, since your life is less valuable than their's and being with someone you can 100% trust is extremely beneficial for your odds of winning

(Oh also you can steal the surv/det's p90 after they die lol)
