i'm generally ambivalent about a jester shop, but i think that if one were implemented, a fake suicide bomb / C4 would not be ideal, since they'd just make people more hesitant to kill someone they see plant a c4 or use a suicide bomb. part of what makes jester work (in my onion) is that the non-jester player can actually piece together that the jester is a jester without necessarily risking their own lives. a fake c4/suicide bomb would take that dynamic away

we should just all agree to public shaming of neutrals that don't kill for the sake of their role
also somewhat related: it should be kosable/reportable to say "i'm pirate, kill X if you want my contract"

Why should you be accepted as an admin?
there are 3 (three) primary reasons why i think i should be accepted for staff
- i have a very good understanding of the rules
- i am very active
- i enjoy moderating
- i am cool
i think that i'd make for a pretty effective staff member. i enjoy resolving conflicts between other players, especially when said conflicts are normally the result of a misunderstanding/miscommunication. if you couldn't tell from my hours, i enjoy playing on anarchy a lot, and i'd like to do what i can to make sure that it's safe and comfortable for players. in terms of motivation/why i'm applying, nothing has really changed since my last application- i'd simply like to be able to handle issues that come up when staff aren't available, as well as generally reduce the workload for everyone. i know that some consider me a touch assertive (fair) when there's an issue/concern that i'd like to discuss, but i see that as a positive (especially if i can bring up those concerns in staff chat, rather than general chat). lastly, i am cool and epic

yeah i've spent years moderating ttt servers and also years moderating mc servers, so you know i like doing it

You see a fellow admin abusing, what do you do?
well first i'd want to make sure that i understand the context of the situation, like why the admin is doing what they're doing. if i'm confident that it's abuse, i'd go to sophie/senior staff via DM with my concerns, and just do my best to explain the situation and why i feel that the admin's actions were abusive. we all make mistakes and misunderstand things, so i'm not looking to accuse anyone of anything, but instead just inform management about what happened, and then let them figure out if it's an issue that needs to be dealt with in some way. if i think it's a serious enough offense to warrant it, i'd also potentially fill out a form under the staff abuse reporting section for gfl.
If you have punishments (warns, bans, and mutes), why were you punished?
i have 3 warns and 1 mute!
other than the first warn, i can recall the situation surrounding each warn (mute as well). warning 1 was more than likely a perfectly valid warn for rdm, but i can't remember specifically, given that it was almost 2 months ago. the second warn was the result of a misunderstanding on my part, though i personally disagree with the decision to warn because of it. the third warn is one that i still consider a bit silly, and while it may have technically been valid, i have issues with it, but i won't go into detail unless prompted. finally the mute is the infraction that i object to the most, and to this day i consider to be an invalid/bad mute. again, i'll happily discuss all of these if asked, but not here!

ttt_repass: while I really like repass, especially because of the HL environment, I think that it serves the same role as rivercliff, i.e. a max pop map. if ferret were to somehow trim it down (particularly the indoors section), i think it could fit as a medium/high pop map, but as it is right now, i think it's just too big. rounds last way too long on it.
ttt_compool revamp: we're playing on this map right now as i type this post, and while initial reactions were mixed, i think people (myself included) are starting to warm up to it. it's also a really big map, but shortcuts alleviate that issue a bit. i think it should stay.
ttt_compool mc: i don't think i've even played on this map at all, and i don't think most players want to play on the map. hummus onion, we have plenty of mc maps. remove plzzzzzzz
ttt_nuketown mc: i think this map is a pretty solid, no-frills ttt map. the secret knife is fun, the t room/teleporters are nice, and there are a decent amount of guns/spawns. no changes, keep
ttt_stadium: i'm personally not a huge fan of this map at all, and i think it's a bit too sprawling, but i know that people generally like it, so
i don't really have any minor changes to suggest for this map, but probably a solid keep.
ttt_walkway_city: people initially seemed very hesitant about this map (players are generally not big fans of verticality, i think) i think people are coming around on it and now appreciate it. the variety of buildings and pathways between them normally create pretty chaotic (in a good way) rounds, and i don't even see that many people dying to falling on this map. i personally am a HUGE fan of this map. keep

i like this map, and i think the easter egg gives innocents something interesting to do. if we could have the map without the surface section, and reassign spawns so they're not all in the spawn room, i think this map could be good for anarchy.

this is how hax explained it to me as well: it's either 1 or all of them. i still think all of them is infinitely better than just a single one, but i just say this to say that currently, picking and choosing isn't an option

strong disagree- now that admins are using their youtube sprays all the time, i think this would just cause more annoyance/confusion for players. yes, sound sprays can be disabled via !sprays, but it's just another step for new players to have to be taught, and a jukebox would only add onto that. i already have plenty of complaints about admins placing their sound sprays all the time, and this seems like it creates the problem. neat idea, just not fitting for anarchy rn imo.
that said, i do think some sort of new points sink would be cool, but it's not exactly a pressing issue

+1 but not limited to donos, just members in general. common response is "it can be abused" or "we don't need it"
for the "abuse" potential, just make the threshold for passing high (70/80%). if a group of trolls can pass a vote with 80% of players, there are plenty of other ways to bully players/abuse rules.
as for "we don't need it", my response is that there are plenty of times where no staff are around, aren't responding to !calladmin, or just don't need to log on to gag a single troll. i trust players enough to be able to just gag someone for gamer words, micspam, etc. simple addition that gives more power to community members, which is a good thing imo

i agree that the gnome is kind of a worse version of the frag grenade already, but more importantly i agree w alexis that it'd just cause more confusion and i'd rather not get shot for throwing a discombob indoors

I don't think it should be treated like a slur, but I do support your point entirely that it's stupid and immature to make fun of kids simply for being kids/sounding like kids. I am certainly not the biggest fan of children but some of them that are regulars (pdevente, for example) are actually perfectly fine players who try their best and are just there to have fun. It's embarrassing when people do this, and you're a loser if you do.

yeah, major inconsistencies. i've seen staff members straight up RDM because they thought they were acting within the rules. it regularly causes players to accidentally RDM other players. then, since players were acting how staff told them they could, they'll both insist that they're right, and an argument will break out. it's honestly incredibly embarrassing.
i personally don't have problems at all with the warn system, and i'm confident in saying that i'm one of the players who's online the most (like, top 10). obviously this is just my personal experience, and staff preference exists, but i've only got 1 valid warn on my record since i started playing. i don't know, maybe i just tend to be more cautious when killing other players, but i don't see any real issues with the warn system itself.

continuing, the warn system itself isn't the problem, in my opinion. the problem is the staff inconsistency and the lack of any cogent rule page. if you're not combative with people in reports and stuff, people will almost always forgive, especially if it's an accident.
