  1. Stop stacking extended restrictions for every minor offense. Cooperate with players, give warnings, help beating the maps, don't act like a tyrant. You decided to stay silent and let delayers kill time instead of slaying for last round, you muted the map leader for nothing basically.

    Maybe stop acting like one and I will not call you that. It wasn't because we lost the round, it was because you refused to slay for last round, letting people delay for 30 seconds in already lost round, when we were close to winning the map prior to that, and despite asking you to do so. You just sat quietly and decided to ignore the messages, until you saw the one you didn't like.

    My bad, a mute, not a gag. Only for 15 minutes, seems perfectly reasonable, also who needs a leader. What about you trying to vote influence seconds before the vote, asking people to vote "otakuroom/onahole" if they see it. I am sure that doesn't count towards vote influence, when admin is asking people to vote a map. Also those map choices, seriously.

    I don't play during your time zone, so I haven't really monitored your actions in depth, but in the few occurrences you just pulled the hammer on the spot. You clearly don't care about giving a warning. Check your source ban record (https://sourcebans.gflclan.com/index.php?p=commslist&advSearch=988&advType=admin). In the past week you've issued 21 mutes/gags, while your total play time on the server was 7h (https://www.gametracker.com/player/Aleister/216.52.148.47:27015/), half of which don't even have a reason (you didn't even care to provide one, just get that guy muted and get done with it).

    In either case, I can't prove this because of the lack of demos (it's my word against the word of an admin, wondering which one will prevail without actual demo). This is where having a demo archive would be extremely useful.

    Meh, having to do extra setup or constantly record, not worth the effort. Besides, you can't really expect players to all follow this setup. The idea is to not worry about this stuff, but have a demo available for dl just in case, for resolving controversies across views. Pretty sure having these around would've been useful in many situations

  4. Can you please add demo archive that we can refer to when we suspect admin overstepping their powers, but need to provide evidence before reporting that. For example, this Aleister dude is gaging people for "vote influencing", just because he didn't like the map that got voted, while his PSE buddies were spamming chat for the other option. I have partial evidence, but can't complete the report because I wasn't recording so maybe I missed something? I know that source servers have these demo archives for such occasions, wondering if it's doable for GFL as well

    Yes, the 1st time proved to be a mistake, but we did have much lower number then. I intentionally gave people a chance to take the item and use it in a better way in the following rounds (which didn't work either). With 30 players there is absolutely no point using ultima in the room, I stand behind my decision even now and am willing to justify why.

     

    I am sure calling someone "cry baby" is very offensive, after all the shit-talking in my address. Definitely worth a ban

     

    "left the server which means you tried to evade your punishment" - how is that even a thing. Why couldn't you eban me? You had time to transfer the item, you had plenty of time before the map change. You had time after the map change because I was still on the server for 20-30 seconds on the next map. You didn't say anything either

    Admin decided to slap a "Team Killing on purpose" reason to justify his ban, which is a complete lie

     

    Situation:

    I refused to use ultima at the top room before lasers on Onahole, when we had 30 people alive since it was pointless. Over-defending or using the item when final door opens was the only way to win the map, but then certain individual started crying about it on communication, ultima got transferred to him before I even get to use it. Then I got blamed for people not surviving at lasers (which was expected at the 1st place) and losing the map,

     

    It's 1 day ban but I want my record cleared. I'm fine with eban instead

     

     

     

  7. Event Nomination: "End of Days" Map Combo -- by Slipstream

    Consists of:

    • 3_b5v_rotcaer_okam_iivff_ez
    • ze_johnny_nukem_b8_3
    • ze_stalker_ultimate_v3

    Special Kickers:

    • Fall damage enabled on Mako
    • Max HP on Johnny Nukem will be limited to 130 and the Billy Herrington banner will be strippered out (Heal item as well as its two uses will still be an option)
    • AKs and pistols only on Stalker. Also, if possible, we would skip stage 1
    • Map time would be reduced to 90 minutes per map
  8. Event Nomination: "Watch your steps" Map Combo (Updated)

    Consists of:

    • ze_chandrila_st1_fix
    • ze_slender_escape_b4
    • ze_serpentis_temple_v2a

    Special Kickers:

    • Fall damage enabled on Chandrila with sv_gravity set to 400 (to offset spots where fall damage cannot be avoided) and sv_airaccelerate 4 (to reduce flying zombie angle of rotation) . Starting health will be set to 160 HP (since most people will likely lose some health at spawn). The map has 3 paths, 1 chosen at random after diamond room trigger. If the left path is chosen, human health will be set to 300 (I assume admin can just have a bind here) once the door opens (since there will be a large fall, unless a platform can be added in advance via stripper).

    Note: Maybe we can try a test run of the settings next week after event. Also you can scratch "( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)" suggestion since we played boredom and I'll be tracking reverse Mako through regular nominations.

    Just set the starting friction to 0.1 and don't increase it. The trick here is that holds have a jump part, so even though zombies can gain a lot of speed if allowed, there is still that gap that humans can leverage. So as long as we don't keep losing too many players to jumps, falling platforms, etc. the gameplay should remain balanced. Also, 0.1 friction allows humans to stop movement completely, so even if someone can't bhop they would still have an opportunity to take time at each jump, pause and hop to the next platform (there might be some panic in the 1st rounds, but you get easily used to the settings)

    Ugh, that's unfortunate. That map has some really good stages but it's not longer played on GO

     

    I guess can you then change the kicker to: sv_friction set to 0.1 on lolxd (no readjustments), and only the 1st stage will be played.

     

    Honestly, the gameplay with friction 1 is no different than 4, then again 0.1 would be enough to ensure humans can still time their jumps and have fun with zombie trying to gain speed from strafe, without making the map unbeatable.  The 2nd stage is pointless as well, way too easy. Also, however unlikely, if this overlaps with Unloze event, would be curious to see which server does better

    • Max health will be capped to 65 on Johnny Nukem, commemorating GFL's historical 6-59 event. Also only extreme levels would be played (assuming the version still has 6 levels)
    • Ak-s and pistols only on Stalker (Russian map after all)

     

    Note: In case the original 2h time limit on Johnny is reached (excluding extends beyond that), or we reach a 2-21 score, the max health restriction would be lifted

    Notes for Chandrila settings:

    • sv_gravity 400 seems to provide the right balance, where u can still avoid all damage, yet easily die if not careful. Also I didn't find any map-breaking shortcuts with this setting
    • There are 3 possible paths after diamond room puzzle, chosen at random after trigger. The left one has a deep fall where sv_gravity would need to be temporarily reduced to 50, unless there is a way to add intermediate platform via stripper
    • Regarding bhop, maybe we can see how the map goes first and then disable it if needed

    Special Kickers:

    • sv_friction set to 0 on lolxd (every 10 minutes we'll add 1 to the friction until it's back to normal which is 4, but only at the start of a new round)
    • Fall damage enabled on Chandrila with sv_gravity set to 400 (to offset spots where fall damage cannot be avoided). Bhop disabled to compensate for the reduced gravity

    Given the intensity of this week's event, I have minor edits to the Special Kickers for this map combo. Specifically:

     

    Special Kickers:

    • Classic spawn for icecap. In addition, we would start from stage 5 (out of 6) and limit map time to 25 minutes (+ last round). - this should set the theme of the event and allow late folks to join before next map, w/o being a burner.
    • Fall-damage enabled on Mako only. - There is actually not much benefit of keeping fall damage on the other 2 maps
