  1. A weekly podcast. Each week, there should be a 5 to 10 minute podcast to summarize the previous week. This to further improve GFL's communication to all of its members. The podcaster(s) should be member of GFL staff and have voice that does not annoy people. Each week there can be a special guest that can tell us their experience within GFL and/or a staff member shedding light on a project being worked upon behind the curtains. Members can also submit questions or topics to the podcaster(s) that they can further elaborate on and discuss. The podcast should be easily accessed on all platsforms and sent out to all of GFL's members.

  2. What I suggest you do as stated in the previous post by Gekkota is getting a recording software like OBS or PlaysTV, record the ones breaking the rules. Then do a player report in the Player Reports section in this subforum with the evidence of the rulebreak attached to the post.

They will then be punished accordingly.

  3. It does not mean your account has been VACed.

    1. Restart your computer and launch Steam
    2. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
    3. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files... button.
    4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.

If that does not fix it, reinstall CSGO in a different directory. Seems like your files have been compromised.

  4. I don't understand how it can be unnecessary to make sure the ones that are suppose to keep our servers clean and be the outwards face of GFL knows the community and it's rules rather then only their server.

  5. Just to clear it up, a lot of you think it would be question purely on their raw maturity like "Do you get offended by someone saying fuck you?" but the test would be ment for making sure the applicant is "aware" on how to handle kicks, bans, just different situations in general. The test is for making sure the applicant has general knowledge of GFL community rules.

Ya'all seem to forget this is a community, not each server for it own. Letting people get admin with knowledge soley based on their server and not gfl in general will end up admins only caring about "their" respected server. The question wouldn't be based on if the player can bhop, can kill 10 guys as a traitor and or if the applicant can be a good ct in csgo Jb. The test is there for making sure the applicant knows about GFL.  Know about it's rules, basically make sure they know GFL and not only their server.  And the only way to make sure applicants know of GFL community rules and whatnot is to test them on it.

This idea is alright, I've seen it work on a few communities, but it wouldn't work on GFL.

Since everyone can apply to GFL, the maturity test would be a critical factor.

I think the maturity test should be done on Members who wish to apply for higher positions.

Everyone can be a member, but not everyone can be in a higher position with a passed maturity test.

It would be ment for everyone applying for an administrative position within GFL, not for general members :P

This isn't a good idea tbh because then all these people would make themselves look and sound all good in the interview and then the second they get the position the true drama causing, power abusing asshole comes out, playing the manager/admin for a fool.

I might have misslead you by the title. The interview would consist of one or two question regarding gfl community wide rules aswell and making sure they have a knowledge of the general basic guidelines to partially prevent some wrongfully actions being taken.

You know what? I'm just gonna leave it at this.

I think this idea is dumb for the reasons i gave. I don't want to sit here and argue, so i simply won't.

If a manager wants to do this, go right ahead, couldn't care less (hell, i'm surprised i cared enough to argue on a community forum).

I gave my opinion, and that's all that matters.

Don't see the problem with discussing wether the suggestion is good or not. I am in no intent denying your ability to have your own opinion, but me trying to convince you why I think it would be benefitial by not letting the managers decide rather the BoD and or community advisors is not arguing against you. Sad to see we can't carry on like adults.

Like i said, if they fuck up, and don't know how to admin, they get demoted. It's not that hard.

Why not outruling the likely hood of them fucking up in the first place. Why give them a chance of fucking up when we might have prevented it with a simple interview system?

Still, seems too unnecessary. I mean, if a manager wants to do this, then i say go right ahead. But it should not be mandatory, in my opinion.

Although the server is important, the interview is to ensure that the community image of GFL isn't worsened by getting admins that doesn't know GFL community wide guidelines and how to deal with things properly. I disagree with you that the respected server manager should choose if they want an interview done or not. This is for the community and making sure admins are aware rather than unaware of certain things. I don't agree with this being unnecessary since it is a small task that can strengthen the morals of the admin team making sure we have admins capable of doing their job.
