They do not say a racist slur...
The ad promo that ran from the late 80s to the late 90s was a Nickelodeon ad called "Nick or Treat". It was sweepstakes promo which would instruct children to fill out a post card to send to Nickelodeon with their information. During the month of October, Nickelodeon would call these people based on their submissions. Part of the promo was that you could not answer the phone with "hello" but instead you would have to greet them with "Nick or Treat". If you greeted them over the phone with "Nick or Treat" you'd win some kind of prize from Nickelodeon, including a paid vacation to Nickelodeon and Universal Studios in Orlando. They even had a whole segment for 15-30 minute to tell viewers to anticipate the call from Nickelodeon called "Nick or Treat Live".
That's the whole joke. That Nickelodeon ran this as an actual advertisement campaign for the network. The entire time they ran it with the phrase "Nick or Treat". The racist sounding catch phrase. The video is just a time capsule to look back at the horrible decision Nickelodeon made.
They are not saying "hard r" or anything racist. That's the whole funny part of this. They ran this ad, with a racist sounding catch phrase, and ran with it for years. There is nothing racist being said. It just sounds racist. Looking back at it now, it's a good laugh. This was an actual promo, in real life, on Nickelodeon. That's what makes this funny.
It's not like I posted a video of someone saying the N word. No, this was literally an ad by Nickelodeon. Again, you don't want this pseudo-freudian-slip humor being talked about, fine, I won't. I'm arguing that posting this actual ad, from an actual TV network for kids, with a catch phrase that was used for a decade, is not in itself a racist act to post it and share. It was an act to show "hey, look at how bad Nickelodeon messed up with this ad promo". That's it.

Posting a video, with the audio from a Nickelodeon promo ad, with a racist sounding catch phrase is not racism.
It's okay to laugh at something that a network did not realize themselves.
Also, I discovered this whole thing about "nick or treat" from another GFL surf user. There are several videos that use different audio bits and some with full video from their promotion over the years they ran the promo. This one just being the fastest one to find since it comes up first when you search for it.
Again, posting this video is not racist. If I had followed the conversation to pursue a race based topic, then yeah, I'd understand the mute. But I didn't. Myself and a couple others laughed at Nickelodeon's mistake of their catch phrase, and we moved on.

This is literally a Nickelodeon ad from the late 90s and early 2000s. This has been posted on the server before by other people. If you don't want it posted there, fine, I won't. It was a funny bit about how a children's network ran this promotion for years with the racist sounding catch phrase.

Admin that banned you: Troppy
What kind of punishment was it (mute/gag, server ban): Mute
Why should you be unbanned?
Troppy just muted me, people asked what did I do, Troppy only responded with "It's in the logs".
All I said was "look up the 2018 Philly Eagles game" when we were discussing the situation in Morocco after winning their Fifa game. Caksel said "I mean moroccans are technically black". Myself along with 3 others responded in disapproval with what he said. I alt tabbed for a few moments, and I'm banned. The audio goes out in the clip once I'm alt tabbed and unable to even say anything in the game. At this time, is when Troppy mutes me.

Again, as I stated before, I was not pursuing a racist topic, or a race oriented conversation. I was posting for a moment to laugh at Nickelodeon's laughable decision, not only for a promotion, but an ongoing promotion for a decade.
Can you elaborate more on "you knew what you were doing". Because that's what I'm trying to defend here. As I stated before, I was posting for a moment to laugh at Nickelodeon's decision to use a catch phrase, that had a racist sounding flow of how the words are said. Given your reasons and replies to everything I've said, it feels like you're insinuating the idea that I'm a racist for posting that video. I'm a very active member of the server. Dozens of frequent surfers, including your fellow admins can vouch that I don't pursue racist conversations.
