  1. I believe that for some people, GFL's servers are not only places to play, but to socialize. Maybe people are lonely and they play on GFL because they find people in-game, and become online friends. Eventually they may (or may not) become a member, and find more people in the forums, find out about more servers and more games, and so on.

This question could also apply to "why do you play a game so much, even with hundreds of hours played?" Because it's fun, dammit. If it gets old I'll stop playing a while, and soon i'll play again. The same likely goes for our servers, and pretty much any other server out there. It just, doesn't permanently get old. You'll become online pals with people, meet new ones, meet cancerous ones, etc. It's a great journey.

My ping is 11 ms, download at 66.44 Mbps, and upload at 5.81 Mbps.

Other than all of the other problems, it was pretty fun when it worked (for me I guess)

I've had friends who had 0 problems like that. They did have occasional lag but not as bad as you say.

Hopefully the full game won't be nearly like that. After all, this is the free beta.

  3. Hey guys,

I thought it'd be nice to start a discussion about the newest Call of duty WW2 beta that recently released and ends today. Did anybody here get it and play? What are your thoughts on it? Is it worth getting?

Also, will there ever be a time when GFL expands to more Cod servers, if possible? Thanks.

  4. Right now, I'm fairly successful making money on the internet, believe it or not. But as far as an active job, I want to become part of a game development team, and/or software developer. Code is so fun and satisfying to learn :)

Since I was like 9 years old, I've always wanted to be some kind of hacker, lol. Back then, in my mind, being a hacker was cool and badass. Of course the older I got, the more unrealistic (and illegal) the idea became, but I still wanted to do something with coding and computers. Past couple of years i've been into gaming, and into development, coding in that area, and a little bit of animation/modeling. It's a long stretch but my dream goals are to either create a PC game of my own, or help create one with a team/company, and/or develop some sort of software that I can distribute through the web for people to enjoy.

    Thanks for the topic!

Funny story about this - while the camera was counting down, I initially thought it wouldn't mind me doing this, and I ended up getting this hilarious image. I'm actually going to save this and keep it.

    Looks like you're dabbing lol

This is actually pissing me off. My MacBook Air is BS. I ran out of storage because my system storage is taking up 108 GB out of the 120 GB i have on it. I have no idea why. I just ran out of storage and when that happened, my Gmod automatically uninstalled. This just happened last night. I can't play Gmod at the moment, and I'm an admin on 3 servers. So, my Gmod takes up 0 KB of space right now.

Seriously? My macbook pro system storage takes only 50 gigs, but I have a cousins' who only takes around 30. A google search might have a solution to clear it up

You are aware most cases people simply accept a punishment due to huge costs of paying for lawyers right?

I see your point now. Yeah, I'm aware of that.

They had the money though, and they faced a ridiculous lawsuit. I guess they found it suitable to fight it as hard as they could. Respect for them

  8. Dude, thanks for sharing this!!! I am so happy for them for winning.

They won the lawsuit but at what cost?

It wasn't their choice to get involved. They didn't choose their cost. The fact that they won after a long, stressful time is an incredible achievement.
