Is GFL Clan Dead or Dying?

I Have known GFL clan for about 5 years now and i have scene a bunch of things happen in its life spam but slowly i've noticed that gfl servers have been getting lower populations, so I have decided that in my eyes i think that GFL Clan is dying and loseing its members. This is not a good thing of course but I just want to let you all know how my opinion is because i am insecure and i care what people think.

We just opened up a new GMod server which hit max population within hours of it opening!

 

We are gaining members by the truckload at the moment as well!

 

Yes there are things that need fixing and some of that is on us. (It would be easier if Valve fixed there game though)

 

GFL is no where near dying. We just need to evolve with the growth. 

 

Some servers will die, it is inevitable but as long as we keep trying new ideas and striving forward we will keep growing!

I disagree with these guys.

 

GFL is, in my opinion, dying as a community.

 

We used to have the top 3 CSGO servers. The top server on CSS. And a server in the top 10 GMod servers. We also had a lot of servers in the top 100 for those 3 games plus some populated TF2 servers.

 

Since then we've dropped in rank in most of our servers except for a few which are the pillars of the community (TTT and ZE). 

 

Overall, we've seen a drop from several top 100 servers to several top 1000 servers. GFL as a whole has been dying.

 

Recently it's been a bit of a mixed bag of success. A lot of drama and shit happened last year and I think we're recovering. At the moment, I'd say that GFL is perhaps recovering. But who knows?

I'm biased, but I also share multiple perspectives having strong connections among multiple communities.  There are communities I have been a part of for more than 10 years and continue to browse through their sites and stay connected with old friends (example).

 

I believe GFL is able to survive with subsistence and has a long way to go, but only to live a hungry and thirsty life (reference).  One of the most common symptoms I've seen of "dying communities" is players beginning to ask if the community is dying, and people don't usually ask unless it has been happening for a while and they've been itching to ask it.  I have a load of observations and advise, but I'm also stupid, a waste of time, and bitter.

In some parts of GFL. I think some servers such as Zombie Survival are like dying off because of lack of updates but in some parts such as TTT and CS:GO. I would agree that they continue to grow the GFL community and I have to say. I'm pretty disappointed how Zombie Survival is dying off. I know it been given by different server managers but in my opinion. They should release an update one month instand of lying it there and let it die out. 

 

In other ideas; most GFL have schools to do with and that mostly that we all can't be on GFL everyday.

 

But that my opinion.

Not really. I'd say that GFL is improving, getting better in some way, and having good security. Recently we've just had a new GMod server named Breach, and it has gotten popular.

I'd say that some mistakes made throughout time definitely affected the player base and made a lot of good players and staff leave although some left just because they got over gaming. I personally miss and liked the old GFL community. I wouldn't say GFL is dead at all or dying in fact It's well alive just a different community it was before due to new people coming and old ones leaving.

I'm fairly new to the GFL community, but from what I've seen, it's very much alive. Maybe not as alive as it used to be, but it's alive nonetheless.

Since we have more servers it indicates that we are not dying we are growing and somewhat fast as breach is enjoyment to all it is fun to play. And GFL is just a great community where everyone can just joke around

It's pretty much the same. Kids just don't have any relation of appropriate usage of jokes/memes thus ruining it for everyone by being overly annoying.

Some servers *cough* Murder *cough* (I cri bc I manage it, tis all my fault) are dying, but others are thriving (breach, etc.)

 

It's just the way this works.
