Finnick 2,355 / 32,169 Report Post Posted March 2, 2017 For my Art 30 class, we're doing a Childrens book the book either needs to be for children with limited vocab, but has to have a lot of art detail, or for older children who have a larger vocab but less art details Now I'm not good at storytelling (take an example of my comic lmao) I just need some ideas for a childrens book The Theme for the book is CHANGE so like flowers grow or some shit like that
 Joshy 4,297 / 42,786 Report Post Posted March 3, 2017 Can it be political ie. "Cultural change"? If it were me, then I would do one with a girl starting off with dolls and dresses, then playing with toys like race cars, later video games, then using a computer, then programming, repairing a computer ie. taking it apart or upgrading parts, then university education in some STEM major, then taking off into space as an astronaut or something. If your professor is a democrat, then they'll totally dig it, and you could easily sell that it... it's aiming to shorten the gap between a social structure that has been traditionally advantageous for boys. BudRot 31 / 2,087 Report Post Posted March 3, 2017 How about a child dealing with their parents getting a divorce? Or the changing of seasons. Or hormones kicking in and they start to like the opposite sex. (or same sex if your edgy lul)

Anything is a children's book. It depends on how you write it. I have a children's book explaining why Marijuana is illegal.

But i understand what you are saying on how certain subjects aren't suitable for certain age groups. There is a famous kids book called "Go the fuck to sleep", also there is one "Everyone poops." I think a book explaining Divorce would be great for parents who need to find a simple way to show their child what is going on. Doesn't have to be just for teens. Shuruia 3,125 / 26,817 Report Post Posted March 3, 2017 You might want to give us an actual age range instead of just saying that it's for children. I won't take a photo—I'll tell it through words.
 Achievements

I am going to assume he meant 4-9+ when he meant kids and for older kids he meant 10-12+
 Achievements

But it wouldn't stop a book store or amazon from selling it. Is it a requirement for it to be stocked in elementary school libraries?
