Hello,

 

I have created a topic in reddit in the hopes of getting more people to join the community. Back in the day we would rack in 10-15 member apps a day, we would literally have contests to see who can get more people to join up. Anyway, check it out at (https://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/7dj75p/gaming_community_gfl/) and I hope that you see this and take it upon yourself to advertise the hell out of GFL, you don't have to be a annoying prick about it because it will send people away, but if you are formal and nice you have a good chance of recruiting people!

 

*Edit, they removed it, but you get the point advertising is key!

I think people should already want to do this, but you can give additional incentive with something like a "Recruiter" badge or title.  Merge it with Member Acceptor and purge the old title/role.

There are guidelines to follow but it's pretty easy and simple.

If you want to advertise to specific servers: CS:GO and GMod

I usually advertise on forums from Steam and Gametracker because well... it's kind of our role to do it. To get people motivated to join GFL.

I've been obsessing over GFL since i joined last month to where I'm practically begging my friends to join or any members that pop onto the server, but you're right that outside advertising is the most effective way. Great idea, and hopefully it helps boost the numbers!
