i need help!

Yeah he is right you need to watch videos, learn everything before you start, first you have to watch this guy mapping videos from https://www.youtube.com/user/3kliksphilip

And then this guy videos https://www.youtube.com/user/rocketrascal34

 

I make maps and i know most of things.

 

And you can easily run into problems when making maps using SDK software.

 

If you want to know something just type on youtube  source sdk  push,  gravity or button, whatever it is.

btw, you dont even know the basic in mapping, you shouldnt start with a ze map, it will be garbage.

Starting a zombie escape map without knowing the effect of few entities ?

+ not knowing how to build correctly a map (no leak, no use of big skybox around map). 

 

Everyone has to start somewhere yes, but usually you start with dev maps, to understand how all tools (mostly brush and vertex tools) work.

ze map are more complex to make than other (entity side of course [de_ map on csgo can take long long time to make]).

 

i have seen too many new mapper starting their ze map, and because of no big experience, starting to copy all entities systems from others maps, all models, textures, brushes work (" i want a dragon boss it's so cooool", "let's copy without changing anything to the item").

 

he do what he want, but it's my advice.

I mean.. You're probably right. The map could turn out to be garbage without knowledge and experience. But enough trial and error, passion, and a goal.. Also ask around on the forums and try to make some mapper friends and possibly have a good ze map in time.
