You need to watch Spirited Away and all of the series from that Author. Even those who don't really like anime, also love this anime more than the others.

You should watch Song of the Sea. It isn't an anime movie (it's actually an Irish movie) but it was produced in a very similar vein to Miyazaki/Ghibli movies. It's about a rural family's connection to selkies (Irish undines) and other supernatural creatures.

Yeah there've been like 5 films over the years. The second (Castle of Cagliostro) was made by Miyazaki

 

I probably won't watch the series, but I might just watch a few of the other movies at least, thanks for the suggestion
