A GFL Meme Contest, celebrating our 10th anniversary!

 

First, a quick run-down for all Members, new and old…

The GFL Meme Competition is a contest that any and all GFL players can participate in, regardless of social status and preferred games within the group! Those who participate are tasked with the crafting and posting of any GFL-related meme, and a short story to go along with it. Whether it be a funny moment with a well-known admin or a playful emphasis on running gags within a given server, we’d love to see your creativity! 

 

With the recap out of the way, let’s get into the meat of this event, shall we?

 

Rules:

1. The theme must be GFL related.
2. You must be a Member+; if you aren’t, then you can simply apply here.
3. Both the story and meme itself cannot be NSFW or overly inappropriate.
4. Stories are not required, but can be anywhere between 1 and 5 sentences, and can be as simple as providing context for the meme or complex enough to add further comical value to said meme.
5. Stories and memes must be your own (no plagiarism). However, you can follow a meme template (i.e. the upset woman pointing at the bewildered cat at the table).

Judging:

• The judges for this event will be @Salad, @Liloz01, @Aurora, @Nick and @Roy.
• In the event of a tie for 1st, 2nd, and/or 3rd place, @Serenity will be the tie-breaking judge.

Prizing:

• 1st Place: Permanent VIP and/or a GFL Anniversary T-Shirt
• 2nd Place: 6 Months VIP
• 3rd Place: 3 Months VIP
• All Winners: Achievement Badges

     

Event Timeline:

• Finished memes can be submitted as early as Monday, January 25 and as late as Sunday, January 31 at 12pm EST.
