What kind of punishment was it (mute/gag, server ban): 2wk Server Ban

 

Why should you be unbanned?

I was banned because I used the noclip+perf bhop exploit that allows players to easily hit 258+ unit jumps.

 

Although it's no excuse, I didn't know this was against the rules; I assumed, because of the chat message that shows up upon joining the server, that only externally assisted jumps were bannable. I wouldn't have used this bug had I been aware it was against server rules.

 

Now, as to why I should be unbanned: 

 

I was not using the bug to gain a competitive advantage as far as timed map runs go. As far as I was aware, there was no leaderboard that these bugged jumps would even show up on, appearing to have beaten other players' hard-earned long jump records. I still don't know the command to see those leaderboards.

 

Additionally, I try my very best to be a pillar of the GFL Clan KZ Climb #1 server, helping out new or struggling players whenever I get the chance, making friends, and trying my best to improve at KZ.

This will never happen again.

Hey!

 

I know you know better than to do what you did, so I will spare you all of that. You need to be more careful about trying out exploits/glitches on any servers, whether they are well-known or not.

For future reference, you can view jump-stat leaderboards for all modes using the !jumptop command.

 

I am willing to give you a pass on this, but keep in mind, this is not a pass I am interested in freely handing out. Please be careful when it comes to these types of situations! Additionally, if you were to get infracted for exploiting in the near future, you may be permanently banned for cheating/exploiting.
