Random Noise 375 / 10,926 Report Post Posted June 18, 2021 If anyone on steam messages you anything related to this: I got a message like this and stupidly thought it was harmless, mostly because I didn't know enough about the person who messaged me this to know this wasn't right. I do not know how this works, but my assumption is that someone has gone and infected steam accounts to make them message people about this, and if you click the link the infection spreads to your account. What is devilish is that when your account sends these messages, you yourself can not see them. If this happens to you, I suggest changing your steam password, and possibly changing other passwords as well. Stay safe out there. flying4ssassin 108 / 3,879 Report Post Posted June 18, 2021 Another tip would be enabling 2 factor authentication. Ever it you fall for one of these and get infected they will not be able to get your 2FA.
