Why should your punishment be revoked?

A text saying "A connection to the steam VAC servers could not be made." and i havent been able to join the server since. I dont know if this a ban/punishment or not, but ive restarted my pc and gmod. I also have a stable internet connection so i dont think thats it. I just wanted to know if this was a punishment or not. 🙂

never mind i fixed it. im just a fucking idiot and had a file missing
