a new Detective [maybe actually traitor, or even a new role that gives it] item, a STAND arrow from the mod, "Gstands"

Recommended Posts

the mod "Gstands" adds in well, Stands from the popular anime "Jojo's Bizarre adventure"

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2428247631&searchtext=gstands

this mod handles all the abilities, the models dont actually come with it, so they made a Different group

https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2428229265

the mod is only in alpha, and some stands are unbalanced, but i believe there is a way to disable some stands, the developer "Copper", is kind and cooperative, and would help in set up / execution, i will be going over the item in question, and some stands that can be achieved  with it.

THE ITEM ITSELF

The stand arrow,

STANDARROW.png.56fc85a39354c822bae73bcf2cf4b5fa.png

The stand arrow once spawned in, flys to the closes player and stabs them with its tip, doing no damage but giving the player a STAND.

Every stand is made for dealing with other stands in specific scenarios, for example, the stand i got from this arrow

HANGEDMANSTAND.png.54233b98aafd0809543926d706ae32d8.png

HANGED MAN!

Now, you may be wondering why i have  a mirror, thats because of the stands ability,

The mirror world.

HANGEDMANSTAND1.png.b1b60d2d9bd41a2022d4bdb90da3b3f5.png

the stand Hanged man, can only attack in the mirror world, to do this, the user must walk up to any surface, and right click on it, this turns it into a "Mirror entrance", while the stand is being remote controlled [Most stands can be remote controlled with the ALT key, damage to stands is reflected to the user.], The only way to see it is  by using ANY REFLECTIVE SURFACE to see  back into it, if a map has a bathroom mirror, and hanged man flies through it, the player will see hanged man in the reflection, but not in front of them. also, hanged man can only travel in the LINE OF SIGHT of its "Mirror entrance", meaning the user  cant right click somewhere, go camp in a corner, and fly it everywhere,

due to the hard ability to see this stand coming, it only has 2 moves, a weak slash, and a heavy Backstab move, this  stand is specifically Stealth based. and has little to no way to defend itself when in trouble,

now, for a stand the exact opposite of a sneaky stealth based stand.

 STANDSTARPLATINUM.png.1af176007a4c9f8cf09397c4641c3b0e.png

Star platinum!

this stand is one of the few fully finished stands.

Star platinum has 2 modes, Punch mode, and ability mode,

the moves in PUNCH mode, are as follows :

LEFT CLICK Punch barrage pretty simple, star platinum throws out a barrage of punches, dealing heavy damage witch can kill extremely fast.

RIGHT CLICK Heavy Punch Star platinum throws out a heavy punch with start and end lag, this launches enemies away as well as dealing large damage,

SHIFT RIGHT CLICK Grab Star platinum grabs anybody to close, this can be used  to pick somebody up and put them somewhere else, using this move again causes SP to throw the grabbed person, this move is almost a 100% combo into barrage or heavy punch.

ABILITY MODE

Left click, Star finger Star platinum extends his finger out for a Wide stab forward, dealing medium damage,

Right click, Star Stop actually called "Time stop", but, this is where it gets complicated. Dont fret! any stand that can stop time has a slider that lets you change the amount of time is stopped for, from 1 second minimum, to 25 seconds maximum.

During time stop : Prop objects stop, Any player without star platinum, or another stand similar, like The World, is both : Blinded, an image of the last thing they saw covers their screen, and they also are deafened until the duration ends, all damage AND knockback are delt as soon as the duration ends, if a player has a stand that can timestop, they can use timestop to move inside the other persons time stop, allowing them to get a cheeky attack in,

Shift left click, Inhale Star platinum inhales a large amount of air, slowing the user, but pulls people nearby closer to him,

also, pressing middle click has star platinum fire a very weak metal ball from his gloves,

there is a super important setting it its options menu that you may want to turn off

importentsetting.png.eca759c24dc0a354310e20f50857d304.png

also, having a stand auto-forces it into third person, that can be disabled as well.

more things about the actual item itself :

the stand arrow will INSTANTLY stop moving and fall to the floor if nobody in its range is a non-stand user, Copper made a TTT version using Gstands, im sure he will be able to help you,

the stand arrow Does not de-spawn under any circumstances,

be careful when summoning this thing, it floats to the closest person,

The stand arrow cannot give players that already own a stand a new stand,

stands are one life things only. so you better hope!

I made a list of stands to

Consider enabling, and ones to disable,

STANDLISTDIS.png.01019fa79eb1f57b8ab9981c770fc602.png

Red X mean to not enable, the following stands and reasons why

The sun = its the sun. it can shoot fire beams to burn people, and people within its line of slowly get slowed and then start dying.

Wheel of fortune = only activates in a car, Where are you going to get a drivable car in TTT?

Strength = Mostly prop based stand, very specific, probably useless unless the map has way to many props.

Khnum = just disguises as other players [We already have a T item that can do this], and throws explosive oranges,

Justice = it can make zombies out of corpses, can use a ability to make somebody go ragdoll and thrown everywhere until they die,

Hermit purple 2 = Its a clone of hermit purple,

Geb = infinite stand dependent mode [ALT IS TOGGLE  FOR THIS. ALMOST EVERY STAND HAS THIS] and can see players moving from almost anywhere.

Horus = To much lag and will kill both headphone and non-headphone users,

Dark blue moon = you dont spend that much time underwater, or far underwater where the stand is most powerful.

Green ? Means probably consider being enabling, following stands and reasons why

Tohth = Its a book that gives you quests, you either die or get punished for not following them, probably a disable due to the fact some  of  them include instantly killing other players in one crowbar hit,

Osiris = if a player presses [E] on your stand, you both roll the dice, if you win, you steal the losers soul. this makes them auto-spectate you, and forces their body into  ragdoll, if you lose, everybodys lost soul is freed i believe,

Judgement = has 2 modes, ones a good one, the other is evil, basically can grant wishes, if somebody wishes to fly and judgements on good mode, they can fly. if somebody asks for the same wish but on the evil mode, they get thrown around until fall damage kills them.

YES. IMMORTALITY IS A WISH.

Death 13 = can backstab players to trap them inside a dream world, turning the player into a ragdoll, sometimes it doesn't work due to the map being to small or something.

Bastet =every time somebody touches it, its strength gets more powerful, anybody that touches it is inflicted with "Magnetism", everytime a magnetized person touches it, they get more magnetic, causing metal props to FLY at them with stupid speed killing them.

Atum = Just Osiris but pong instead of dice roll,

A black dot means "Cream"

NEVER. EVER. TURN ON CREAM.

IT CAN DO THE FOLLOWING :

Upon going to its Dependent mode, blinds the user fully, and makes them go into NOCLIP. if they run into a  prop or a person that person IS INSTANTLY ERASED / KILLED. also, a player might get confused when they are just out of bounds, or in the pocket dimension still.

you can test out the stands and see what they do, or watch coppers youtube videos on "Full stand demonstrations", where he shows off all the abilities in a simple, understandable way.

another important thing

i do believe their is a way to disable stands getting a bunch of starting hp when gained,  for example star platinum boosts the users max hp to 1500, you can talk to Copper on how to disable this feature im pretty sure.

i do believe the stand arrow should take 2 or 3 credits, because the stands given are extremely powerful.

The stand arrow does not care who it stabs.

i can see the following issues arising with conflicts with roles,

Anybody that is revived from the dead do not keep their stand.

But, every stand has a chance of killing every other stand if they play their cards right.

From, an idiot.

I didn't read the whole thing yet, but it looks cool though I think it is too complicated for anything less than a very rare neutral evil

Your formatting is terrible and it hurt my eyes trying to read the latter part of this post. Please, color the text instead of that terrible ms paint on the photo next time if you do something like this.

Several major issues with this idea.

1. Terrible idea for a DETECTIVE role. Why is a DETECTIVE being given a random themed item that is focused solely around offense, with many being about killing multiple crowds of people. It doesn't fit the role and that kind of mechanic fits a neutral evil more.

2. The file size of the main addon by itself is 500mb. This is insane, for then requiring 12 more addons, ranging from a reasonable 6mb to 90mb(and i've not checked all of them), especially when a lot of that filesize is being taken up by uncompressed models/unused icons and models.

3. The author does not seem reasonable in the slightest. They threaten anyone who uses any of their model addon's custom animations outside of the Gstand mod which is inherently not a reasonable person statement. They repeatedly threaten 'All rights reserved" in their addon descriptions, charges people a monthly fee via patron for the updated version with bug fixes, and gets angry at the idea of someone editing any part of the addon even if its not uploaded to the workshop anywhere.

4. This addon doesn't have TTT support and is solely made for Sandbox. Chances are a  lot of code would be dependant on Sandbox stuff that is very different from TTT or TTT2 code. Considering simply porting a swep from Custom Roles for TTT to TTT2 can require code rewrites due to different dependencies for something as simple as spawning in fast zombie entities, imagine trying to port something as complex as custom UI elements and control schemes.

This, combined with the author's aggression towards modifications, leads me to be concerned over a possible shitshow being caused by Mr. Cooper. I've had issues back on breach where a server tried to cause shit because we used a map made 'EXCLUSIVELY' for their server that was uploaded to the workshop with no mention of this claim(Which they couldn't even enforce due to workshop rules and Copyright Law regarding SCP in the first place), and i have no interest in risking another ego war.

5. Vast majority of these abilities come off as incredibly overpowered and incredibly buggy, with their 'counterplay' being essentially impossible on the vast majority of maps("Look in a mirror Reflection" reflections that most maps dont even have?).
